CHAPTER 870: CHAPTER 870: DISCHARGED FROM THE HOSPITAL

"The discharge procedures are done," Finn Morgan said, "We can leave anytime."

"Melissa, your mom made your favorite breakfast, so we can go back now." Hailey walked towards her, "This bouquet is for you, congratulations on getting discharged."

"Thank you." Melissa sat up, holding the sunflowers Hailey gave her, feeling a mix of emotions.

Getting up and heading downstairs, Finn opened the front passenger door.

"I want to sit in the front," Melissa deliberately said.

Hailey opened the backseat door, "Alright, I won’t fight you for it." Then she slipped into the car.

Melissa got into the front seat, but didn’t feel very satisfied. It was her first time being so close to Finn, sitting in the spot she had longed for, yet her heart still felt empty.

Hailey sat in the back like a third wheel, and Finn kept glancing at her through the rearview mirror, observing her expression.

Melissa saw his heart wasn’t really here, so she turned her gaze to the passing scenery outside the window, feeling a bit sad again...

Who was moved by her persistence? At most, it moved herself.

Once he took her home, Finn would probably take Hailey away, right? Who knows when they would meet again.

Just as he finished speaking, Finn’s car parked in The Monroe Family villa yard, the beautiful morning light reflecting on the car body.

Melissa hadn’t even gotten out of the car and felt that things were different here, "Rearranged?"

The pots that hadn’t changed in twenty years had also been moved, leaving her baffled.

The car door opened, everyone got out, and The Monroe Family elders came out from the living room to greet them.

"Dad, Mom, why make such big changes to the yard?"

"Mom, why are your eyes red?" Melissa noticed keenly.

Claudia quickly put on a smile, "The wind was strong earlier, blew some sand in, it’s nothing, let’s hurry inside."

Not suspecting anything, they all went into the villa together, arriving at the dining room.

The table full of sumptuous breakfast made Melissa very happy, she was as joyful as a child, "Great, all my favorites!"

"Finn, Hailey, come sit down," Claudia invited them.

Melissa joyfully added, "You have to try everything, it really tastes good!" It was her first time being so friendly to Hailey.

Everyone chatted, exchanged pleasantries, sat down at the dining table, and began today’s meal.

The dining atmosphere was alright, Melissa didn’t speak much, just coughed a few times, her throat still uncomfortable.

"Dad, Mom, I’m heading upstairs first." After breakfast, Melissa didn’t say goodbye to Finn and Hailey, and turned to head upstairs.

Zachary received a call and also drove away.

At the living room entrance, Claudia was seeing off Finn and Hailey...
