Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 88: She Is Willing to Help Him
CHAPTER 88: CHAPTER 88: SHE IS WILLING TO HELP HIM
In a short while, he saw the kids enter the living room, Mia Lane standing next to the Lamborghini.
He heard footsteps going upstairs and the kids turned on the study room lights.
"Daddy! Mommy has a lot of design drafts in Sunshine Village, can you take her to get them?" Gigi exclaimed joyfully and grabbed his hand, "Daddy, you have to trust Mommy! She might help you get through this tough time!"
"Yeah, we should at least take a look at her drafts first!" Dolly chimed in, "The butler told us everything! We’re a family, we face difficulties together!"
At that moment, Justin Kingston even wondered if Mia Lane and Gigi were in cahoots!
Gigi leaks the drafts, Mia Lane takes credit for them.
But he had no choice but to deal with the crisis first.
So he went downstairs.
Seeing him walk out of the living room and head towards the Lamborghini, Mia Lane felt conflicted, feeling her son had put her in a tough spot.
The driver opened the car door, and they both got into the car.
The Lamborghini drove overnight to Sunshine Village.
Along the way, the two were silent for quite a while.
She finally broke the silence, "Hey, you should at least tell me what kind of artwork you’re looking for. I don’t really understand this project. In my spare time, I sketched some things before, I draw all kinds of stuff, really eclectic."
"Men’s and women’s formal wear, a full set of jewelry, shoes are needed too." Justin Kingston didn’t hold much hope, there were too many gaps to fill, how could she complete it all on her own?
But if she were Emma, she might be able to.
Emma is quite a peculiar designer, producing only one piece a year, but for someone passionate about design, creating one piece doesn’t mean drawing only one.
The car drove into Sunshine Village and stopped in the yard in front of the bamboo house.
Jonah Woods dashed out when he saw the car lights!
The car door opened, and as soon as Mia Lane stepped out, Jonah Woods rushed over and hugged her tightly, lifting her off the ground!
"Master! Why didn’t you give a heads-up?!" Jonah Woods exclaimed excitedly, "I’ve missed you so much!"
"Whoa, careful, careful!" Mia Lane, frightened, clung tightly to his neck, worried he might fling her off, "Put me down quickly!"
Jonah Woods was still horsing around when Justin Kingston pulled him away, his gaze sharp and intense!
His arrival shocked Jonah Woods, causing him to stare in surprise!
Mia Lane said to him, "I’m just here to pick up some things, then I’ll leave," and walked towards a room.
Justin Kingston took a step to follow her, and Jonah Woods quickly reacted, rushing over to block his way—
"You can’t enter this room!"
Justin Kingston’s gaze darkened slightly, staring at him coldly.
Once Mia Lane entered the room, she closed the door.
Under the moonlight, the two men stared at each other, and Jonah Woods, assured he wouldn’t break in, finally let down his raised arms.
Five minutes later, Mia Lane came out with a bag.
Jonah Woods had no idea what just happened but felt his master was being coerced, "Master, he..."
"We have to go now," Mia Lane smiled at Jonah Woods, "Take care of things in the village, I’ll come back when I can."
"Hey, Master!"
Jonah Woods watched the car leave, but it didn’t seem like she was being coerced.
What did she take away?
On the way back to the city, the light in the car was bright.
Mia Lane took out the drafts from the bag and handed them over to him, "See if there’s anything you like. I just grabbed a handful."
Grabbed a handful?
Casually?
Justin Kingston glanced at her and reached out to take the thick stack of drafts.
Upon seeing the first one, he felt utterly refreshed!
It was a red gown, with its drape and silhouette far surpassing Monica Usher’s designs, each detail meticulously handled.
"I enjoy drawing in my spare time," Mia Lane said, "Besides teaching the kids how to draw, I design things randomly when I have time, these are all sketches, not even Gigi and Dolly have seen them, you’re the second person to see these drafts."
But Jonah Woods hasn’t seen them either?
Justin Kingston casually flipped through a few pages, each one bringing him new surprises and amazement.
They weren’t just random drawings; each had colors, perfectly coordinated.
"Tomorrow you’re coming with me to meet the Queen!" He turned to her, making the most sincere invitation, "The Queen would surely want to hear your design ideas, help all the way through."
