CHAPTER 95: CHAPTER 95: CEO KINGSTON’S HAPPIEST DAY

"What a loving young couple—they could easily buy cooked food, yet they insist on cooking themselves."

"Such love is truly beautiful, and rare in this materialistic world."

The shop owner and his wife watched with envy.

Because Mia Lane personally prepared the meal, Justin Kingston shared it with her even if he wasn’t hungry.

When he learned that she had helped a little girl, Justin’s wariness towards her diminished.

Someone so kind could not possibly be a bad person.

Even if she had multiple identities.

"I’ll take you to the beach this afternoon," she said while eating, "The beach here has blue sand, and it’s particularly beautiful when the sunset casts its glow over it in the evening."

"Okay, anything for you."

She looked up, thinking how well-behaved the CEO was today!

Justin rarely took things so easy, and every second with her felt indescribably wonderful.

The blue beach provided a visual feast for the eyes.

She ran across the beach like a child, asking him to take her picture.

And Justin was patient, finding the best angles and snapping photo after photo.

He took over two hundred pictures! Yet he didn’t feel tired.

Then they built a sandcastle together, something usually only children do, but for some reason, Mia insisted on dragging Justin into the experience.

When Justin lowered his esteemed self, lifting the sand with his large and sturdy hands, it awakened a hidden part of his childhood spirit.

Remarkably, he had never played with sand before in his life.

He suddenly felt his life was quite sad.

"What’s wrong?" she asked with a playful smile, "Why aren’t you happy?"

He forced a faint smile, "Not unhappy."

"Did you ever play like this as a child?" she tentatively asked.

Justin was unwilling to reveal his inner thoughts, merely glanced at her and then focused intently on helping her build the sandcastle.

"Make sure it’s pretty, I want to take pictures!"

Mia knew it would be difficult to reach his inner self.

So... how should she bring up the fire incident?

Indeed, everything Mia did today had a purpose.

As evening approached, the beautiful sunset reflected off the sea, creating a picturesque view.

Attracted by such scenery, they took even more photos.

The varying depths of footprints left on the blue sand were the traces of their day.

When they decided to leave, they perfectly missed the last train back to the city!

Outside the train station, Mia was out of breath and quite disappointed.

But Justin remained calm, "It’s okay, we can go back tomorrow."

She turned to him in surprise, knowing his time was as valuable as money.

Thus, they needed to find suitable lodging.

Familiar with the area, Mia took charge and led them to a picturesque guesthouse nestled by the mountains and water.

"I’m sorry, there’s only one single room left, with a bed that’s four feet wide. Is that okay?" The hostess dressed in traditional attire looked at them.

Mia glanced at the man beside her, letting him decide.

After all, they were a couple and stayed together at home too, though this bed... felt too narrow!

At that moment, another couple walked in, ready to check in, and Mia quickly handed over her ID card, "Stay!"

Justin scanned and paid, then took the room card, and they went upstairs.

The guesthouse was beautiful, constructed from bamboo. There was no elevator, and the bamboo stairwell showcased bamboo culture.

All the lights here were lanterns.

The room was small without a sofa, very spartan, with only a four-foot-wide bed.

But it was very clean, and the air was filled with a faint mint fragrance.

The view from the window was quite nice, with a clear view of distant lights and the sounds of nearby insects and birds.

"You go shower first," Justin said softly with a steady voice, "There are bathrobes in the closet."

"Okay."

Like a child, she played the entire day, clocking twenty thousand steps on her fitness app, feeling quite tired.

Shower and an early night.

The sound of water came from the bathroom, and through the frosted door, Justin could see her graceful silhouette.

Reflecting on the day’s events, he felt a special sensation, as if he had become a child for once.

Childhood was something Justin never got to experience.

His mother had him undergo heir training from a young age; ever since he could remember, his schedule had always been packed...

But was he ever truly happy?

No day had made him as happy as today.
