CHAPTER 128: CHAPTER 128: HURRY, THE STERLING FAMILY IS IN DANGER
Veridia Central Hospital.
After picking up Aunt Rosalie, Eleanor Sterling took her to the hospital.
She initially diagnosed Aunt Rosalie and found multiple organ failures, her body extremely weak, sleeping more than being awake.
To provide better treatment for her, she had to be taken to the hospital for systematic recuperation.
In the hospital, the attending doctor approached Eleanor Sterling.
"Thank you."
"The patient is no longer in danger and needs careful nurturing." The doctor removed his mask and looked at Eleanor, "Little sister-in-law, don’t worry. Leave her to me, and I will take good care of her."
The doctor was the same man Eleanor had seen at Alaric Faulkner’s place before, named Dylan Lawson.
Eleanor furrowed her brows slightly, seemingly wanting to correct his address, but then thought it might be making a fuss over nothing, so she decided against it.
"Thank you. May I go in and see her?"
Dylan nodded, "Of course you can, but don’t stay too long; she needs to rest."
In the ward, Aunt Rosalie was lying down, various life-supporting instruments by the bedside operating steadily, emitting calm rhythmic sounds.
She looked even weaker now than the last time Eleanor saw her, as if she might pass away at any moment.
Eleanor’s eyes felt a bit sore.
"Aunt Rosalie." She sat by the bedside.
Hearing Eleanor’s voice, Aunt Rosalie abruptly awoke. She reached out to grab Eleanor’s hand, "Miss, is that you? You’ve come to see me again? Quick, leave! The Sterling Family is dangerous!"
Eleanor’s eyes were tingling, and tears nearly fell.
Aunt Rosalie thought she was still in the Sterling Family’s basement.
Last time, due to her reasons, she watched Eleanor being harmed and had become fearful.
"Aunt Rosalie, don’t worry, I’ve rescued you. We are safe now."
Hearing Eleanor’s words, Aunt Rosalie opened her eyes to look around and realized the environment was different.
"Safe is good! That way, I can fulfill the young lady’s last wish, otherwise her death would be in vain..."
"Aunt Rosalie, do you know something?"
Eleanor sensed Aunt Rosalie must know something; otherwise, why would Rosalie Ray not want to hand her over?
If it weren’t for this time protecting Faye Sterling, she probably wouldn’t have let her go so easily.
"Miss, you must be careful of Rosalie Ray; she’s not a good person!" Aunt Rosalie said seriously.
"Yes, I know."
"Stop investigating. It’s of no benefit to you; Miss, you should give up."
Eleanor’s face sank, "Why? I must know how my mother died. I want to avenge her."
"You can’t fight against..." Aunt Rosalie murmured, perhaps due to the nervousness, she fell asleep just like that.
Eleanor originally wanted to ask more about her mother, but seeing her too tired and asleep, she could only sigh silently.
It seemed her mother’s death hid a big secret, Aunt Rosalie knew but dared not tell her, looking deeply mysterious.
But how could she stop investigating?
It seemed she could only wait for Aunt Rosalie to recover a bit more, then slowly persuade her to reveal the whole truth.
Eleanor pulled up the quilt and walked out the door.
Outside in the corridor, Alaric Faulkner was leaning casually, evidently waiting for Eleanor for a long time.
He was dressed in a bespoke suit, exuding nobility and elegance, with a powerful presence that drew the attention of nurses and patients passing by.
Seeing him suddenly appear here, Eleanor couldn’t help but frown. How does this person keep turning up?
It must have been Dylan Lawson who informed him, which is why he came over.
