Twins Reunite: Bringing Mom and Dad Together!
Chapter 47: Come Home and Wait to Get Married
CHAPTER 47: CHAPTER 47: COME HOME AND WAIT TO GET MARRIED
Back then Rosalie Ray and Faye Sterling joined forces to scheme against her, causing her to lose her innocence and become pregnant.
They even locked her up, forced her to give birth, and then killed the child in front of her just to make her suffer immensely!
Their hatred towards her originated entirely from her mother.
Such a malicious scheme made Eleanor Sterling believe that her mother was killed by Rosalie Ray.
A murderous intent flickered in her eyes.
Eleanor Sterling lowered her gaze and forced herself to hold back.
George Sterling slapped the table and stood up, "Eleanor Sterling! How dare you speak to your mother like that."
"Ha, I remember my mother is already dead."
George Sterling raised his hand, intending to slap Eleanor Sterling across the face, but Eleanor Sterling reached out and tightly grasped his hand.
Seeing Eleanor Sterling dare to resist, George Sterling’s face turned dark with anger.
Faye Sterling stepped forward to pull on George Sterling’s sleeve, "Dad, don’t get angry, it’s not worth it to hurt your health."
"Hmph, Faye is still the considerate one." George Sterling’s face immediately softened as he turned to Faye Sterling.
He glanced coldly at Eleanor Sterling and said, "Since you’re back, that’s enough. Didn’t you start some sort of jewelry company? Shut it down immediately and come home to wait for marriage."
Faye Sterling secretly curled her lips into a smile, yet she appeared worried as she said, "Dad, if sister wants to have a career, just let her do it."
"What could she possibly accomplish? Does she think starting a company is child’s play? Doesn’t it require connections and finances? She has nothing. She might as well come back early and wait to get married."
Eleanor Sterling’s eyes were cold as ice.
So if Faye Sterling lacked money, George Sterling could invest, and if she lacked connections, he could pave the way for her?
Even though they were both George Sterling’s daughters, he treated her and Faye Sterling worlds apart.
Although Eleanor Sterling had long seen through the Sterling Family after Rosalie Ray’s frame-up, she couldn’t help but feel desolate for herself.
In the past, she always hoped to receive even a tenth of the affection Faye Sterling had, even if it was just a compliment.
"Alright, it’s decided then. Your past deeds were not honorable, but you are ultimately a daughter of the Sterling Family, and I will find you a good match."
Rosalie Ray laughed on the side, "Gregory, I think Mr. Quinn is a good match. Although he has been widowed a few times, the Quinn Family is quite wealthy; Eleanor won’t suffer if she marries into it."
George Sterling’s anger subsided a bit, he said, "Alright, go to the Quinn Family tomorrow and negotiate with them."
As the two of them conversed, they decided Eleanor Sterling’s marriage without consulting her opinion at all.
A trace of impatience flashed between Eleanor Sterling’s brows and eyes, she said coldly, "Take me to see Aunt Jade."
Rosalie Ray gave Faye Sterling a look.
Faye Sterling stepped forward, pulling Eleanor Sterling’s hand warmly, "Sister, don’t worry, I’ll take you to see Aunt Jade, we’ve been taking care of her very carefully over the years."
Eleanor Sterling sneered coldly, silently withdrawing her hand.
"Lead the way then."
Faye Sterling led Eleanor Sterling towards the Sterling Family’s basement, the oppressive atmosphere was overwhelming.
The further Eleanor Sterling walked, the more a fire burned in her heart.
She didn’t expect Aunt Jade to have been in such an environment these past few years, is this how Faye Sterling claimed to have treated Aunt Jade well?
In the corner of the basement, there was a bed with a frail middle-aged woman lying on it. Hearing movement, she struggled to get up.
"Second Miss, didn’t you say I could see the eldest miss today? Where is the eldest miss?"
Eleanor Sterling’s eyes welled with tears, and she hurried forward to help her up, "Aunt Jade, I am Eleanor Sterling."
