Twins Reunite: Bringing Mom and Dad Together!
Chapter 5: Hades Comes Knocking
CHAPTER 5: CHAPTER 5: HADES COMES KNOCKING
Eleanor Sterling walked into the kitchen to prepare dinner.
Estelle Sterling hooked her arm around Caleb Faulkner’s shoulder, looking at him with a half-smile, "So, how do you feel about my sister Eleanor?"
Caleb Faulkner nodded, "I’m satisfied."
Estelle Sterling eagerly began to pitch, "Ha ha ha, that’s good. Although Sister Eleanor is a bit scatterbrained and lacks a feminine touch, she’s pretty nice at times."
Caleb Faulkner looked completely satisfied. Compared to Faye Sterling, he found Eleanor Sterling to be better in every way.
"By the way, did your dad hit it off with Eleanor?"
Caleb Faulkner had no choice but to tell Estelle Sterling the whole truth, including the encounter between Eleanor Sterling and Alaric Faulkner at the hospital.
Estelle Sterling patted her forehead and said, "I wanted to orchestrate a chance meeting for them, but I didn’t expect it to backfire. Oh well, let’s just have dinner at my place this time and plan again next time."
"Alright."
Caleb Faulkner watched the busy figure in the kitchen, feeling an unusual stir in his heart.
Since childhood, he had only ever eaten food prepared by servants; this was the first time he’d eaten his mother’s cooking.
Eleanor Sterling had just finished preparing all the dishes and was about to bring them out when the doorbell rang.
She glanced at it and said, "It might be the maintenance coming to fix the water pipe. Estelle, go answer the door."
Estelle Sterling, who was still chummy with Caleb Faulkner, had no choice but to obediently go and open the door.
As soon as she opened the door, the grim and dark face of Alaric Faulkner came into view, like a demon from hell, with eyes full of piercing coldness that made one shiver to the bone.
Estelle Sterling froze for a moment, then screamed, "Oh my God, Hades Faulkner is here!"
Alaric Faulkner’s face turned exceedingly dark.
Hades?
He stepped into the apartment and immediately saw his kidnapped son, lounging comfortably on someone else’s sofa watching TV, without any sign of restraint as an outsider.
Eleanor Sterling heard Estelle Sterling’s shout and promptly walked out of the kitchen, only to be confronted by the standing figure of Alaric Faulkner.
Immediately, her brows twitched, and she felt herself uneasy.
How did this man find his way here? She clearly remembered she’d shaken off everyone before.
The atmosphere instantly became tense.
One second, two seconds, three seconds...
Eleanor Sterling put down the bowl in her hand, picked up Caleb Faulkner from the sofa, and handed him to Alaric Faulkner, "President Faulkner, you’ve come to find your son, right? Here’s the son I accidentally picked up, returning him to you."
Alaric Faulkner’s face darkened as his eyes appeared sharp while looking at Eleanor Sterling.
Picked up? Ha, she really dared to say it.
Caleb Faulkner struggled to jump down, arrogantly said, "I’m not going back. Old man, go back yourself. I’m staying."
After speaking, he ran to the dining table and sat down, pitifully looking at Eleanor Sterling and saying, "I’m hungry, I want dinner."
Looking at this little guy who suddenly stuck to her, Eleanor Sterling’s brows twitched, wishing she could throw him and Alaric Faulkner out together.
Right now, Alaric Faulkner seemed more dangerous, so it was best to get rid of him first.
Eleanor Sterling chuckled lightly.
"Kids need to eat properly, or they’ll get hungry. So, President Faulkner, how about you head back first? I’ll return him safely to the Faulkner Family after dinner."
Alaric Faulkner didn’t agree verbally, but Eleanor Sterling assumed he did, "Estelle, see the guest out."
With that, she directly turned and went into the kitchen to prepare the meal.
After plating the food, Eleanor Sterling wondered to herself if he had left. Bringing that kid back was certainly a bad idea; now someone was here to reclaim their son.
Just as she turned to go out, a broad chest pressed against her, and hands propped on either side of her body, effectively trapping her between his chest and the kitchen counter.
The crisp scent approached, instantly turning the atmosphere steamy.
