CHAPTER 59: CHAPTER 59: ARE YOU AVOIDING HADES FU?
Eleanor Sterling and Alaric Faulkner switched places.
She started the car and felt a burning gaze beside her. Turning her head, she found Alaric Faulkner staring at her.
That deep gaze seemed capable of drowning someone in it. Eleanor Sterling cleared her throat a bit uncomfortably.
Thinking that Alaric Faulkner was worried about her driving, she hurriedly explained, "Actually, I’m pretty good at driving, so you don’t need to worry."
Alaric Faulkner curled his lips, "Mm, I’m not worried."
His voice was deep, his tone gentle, as if he trusted her without a second thought or had entirely entrusted his safety to Eleanor Sterling.
Eleanor’s heart skipped a beat. Why was he staring at her like that if he wasn’t worried?
She quickly turned her head and focused on driving.
Soon, they returned to The Elysian Apartments. Eleanor Sterling opened the car door and quickly got out, "President Faulkner, thank you for bringing me back."
Eleanor opened the back door, quickly pulled Estelle Sterling out, and disappeared into the apartment without looking back.
Seeing how eager she was to avoid him, a trace of helplessness flashed in Alaric Faulkner’s eyes, and his thin lips tightened.
She ran so fast!
Was she afraid he’d find an excuse to go upstairs?
In the backseat, Caleb Faulkner looked at Alaric disdainfully. With a serious face, he snorted coldly, "You’re really useless."
Alaric’s expression slightly froze, and he spoke slowly, "Haste makes waste."
It wasn’t until they were in the elevator that Eleanor Sterling released Estelle Sterling.
Freed, Estelle glared at Eleanor and laughed slyly, "Sister Eleanor, are you avoiding Hades Faulkner?"
Eleanor glared at him, "Isn’t it obvious?"
There was no need for the two of them to have any interaction.
Alaric Faulkner’s episode was real, but just now on the way back, she had already realized he was fine.
To prevent that man from finding an excuse to go upstairs, she had to make a quick getaway.
At these words, Estelle laughed, clutching her stomach, "I didn’t expect you’d be afraid of someone one day. It’s just five million blacked out from him; at worst, you can just pay him back."
Eleanor crossed her arms, "How to pay? Sell you to him? That’s actually a good idea; tonight, I’ll send you to the Faulkner Family."
Estelle’s face turned pale.
Jeez, so ruthless, huh?
"I am your own son."
"If I’m going to sell you every day, might as well not have you."
Estelle clutched Eleanor’s leg, crying with snot and tears, "Sister Eleanor, don’t sell me. I know I was wrong. In the future, I won’t mess with you anymore."
Looking down at Estelle, a hint of softness flashed in Eleanor’s eyes. Although she said so, how could she really send him away?
After all, he was the child she had risked her life to give birth to all those years ago.
"Alright, get up. As long as you behave obediently from now on, I’ll let you stay by my side."
Estelle quickly got up. Looking at Eleanor, he instantly returned to normal and smiled, "Otherwise, let’s find a fool and pay back the money, so we won’t have to be afraid anymore."
Eleanor’s eye twitched.
Ha, a fool, as if there are so many fools in the world. Estelle thinks too beautifully about it.
Seeing Eleanor’s noncommittal look, Estelle’s little head spun rapidly and added, "Or I’ll work hard to make money."
Eleanor squinted her eyes, warning, "I know you’re skilled, but don’t think about doing anything illegal."
The money she took from Alaric Faulkner was because she had no choice. After that, she never did such a thing again.
She didn’t expect to owe such a debt.
Just as Estelle said, paying back the money quickly to stay far away from this man was indeed the best option.
He was, after all, Faye Sterling’s man, not someone she could provoke.
Estelle grinned, naturally the wool comes from the sheep’s back. Now that Alaric Faulkner was interested in Eleanor, he could profit from him.
Counting the remaining amounts, Estelle came up with several more strategies.
