CHAPTER 7: CHAPTER 7: NOT EVEN WANTING HIS SON
Eleanor Sterling looked at Alaric Faulkner with a fake smile and said, "President Faulkner, you’ve had your meal. Can you take your son and leave now?"
This place has been exposed. As soon as he leaves, she’s going to take Estelle Sterling to move somewhere else overnight.
Estelle Sterling, standing by with a grin, chimed in eager for drama, "Sister Eleanor, let them stay here. At worst, you can just share a room with him."
Eleanor shot a sharp look at him, making him shut up immediately.
It seemed Alaric Faulkner guessed Eleanor’s intention to escape, so he stood up and pointed at Caleb Faulkner, saying, "He will stay. Thanks for the hospitality."
Caleb Faulkner was more than willing, without any objections.
Eleanor Sterling looked at Alaric Faulkner, dissatisfied, and said coldly, "What do you mean, President Faulkner? Don’t you want your son anymore?"
Alaric Faulkner gave a cold laugh, "Don’t you want to kidnap my son? Now it suits you well, I’ll go back and prepare the ransom."
Eleanor Sterling: "..."
What the heck? Kidnapping?
Would she do something so low-level? She’d have to be out of her mind to kidnap the Faulkner Family’s Crown Prince!
Aside from Estelle previously scheming a bit of money out of him, she would never do something so self-humiliating.
In fact, Alaric Faulkner could easily afford that little ransom without needing to go home to gather funds.
In Alaric’s money-making eyes, ransom is just a small amount; leaving Caleb Faulkner behind was to keep an eye on Eleanor Sterling, preventing her from escaping.
If this woman dared to provoke him, she shouldn’t think of escaping.
Before Eleanor Sterling could refuse, Alaric Faulkner left dashingly, seemingly at ease leaving Caleb behind.
Even left him with someone who supposedly planned to kidnap him.
Estelle Sterling couldn’t contain her laughter as he looked at Caleb Faulkner excitedly, "Your dad doesn’t want you anymore. Luckily my bed is big enough, you can stay with me, I’ll take care of you."
Eleanor Sterling realized belatedly, turning to glare fiercely at Estelle Sterling, "You brat! Did you do something shady?"
Such a ridiculous thing as kidnapping, it didn’t seem right to her.
Although Estelle often had mischief in mind, he was also a cautious person. Knowing that it’s a special time, how could he allow a traceable login to happen?
Estelle shrank his neck, chuckling sheepishly, "I just logged into your account and sent a message to Hades for money, didn’t expect him to track us down so fast."
Eleanor’s face turned completely dark, gnashing her teeth, "Estelle Sterling!"
"Ah!! The Little Hades is losing his temper, run!" He quickly pulled Caleb Faulkner into a room and locked the door.
Once fully safe, Estelle Sterling clutched his stomach, bursting out laughing.
"Hahaha..." He hooked a shoulder around Caleb Faulkner, "Just stay here for now, Sister Eleanor won’t get really mad."
"Alright." Caleb Faulkner’s eyes were deep, a look of longing in them.
He envied the way Eleanor and Estelle Sterling interacted; Faye Sterling was never like that, she only ever sought to use and manipulate him.
...
When Alaric Faulkner returned to the Faulkner house, Faye Sterling greeted him, "Alaric, have you eaten? I’ve been waiting for you all night."
Alaric Faulkner’s brow furrowed slightly, "I already ate."
Having said that, he bypassed Faye and went upstairs, with Faye following closely, "Alaric, where did you go for dinner tonight? I heard you left the company quite early."
A flash of displeasure crossed Alaric Faulkner’s eyes at her questioning tone.
He turned around, his gaze cold, and said, "Instead of meddling in my affairs, why don’t you care a bit about Caleb? Your own son has been missing for a whole day without any concern from you, is this the attitude you have as a mother?"
