CHAPTER 732: CHAPTER 732: I’LL MAKE A DEAL WITH YOU
In the hospital.
Eleanor Sterling lay quietly on the bed, her eyes tightly shut, as if she had fallen asleep.
In the meeting room next door, several people gathered with heavy expressions, carefully examining the conditions of Alaric Faulkner and Eleanor Sterling.
The results were as Franklin Faulkner had said; Alaric Faulkner carried poison.
Later, Estelle Sterling and Caleb Faulkner’s blood, as well as Jasper Faulkner’s, were examined. Estelle Sterling had no issues, but Caleb Faulkner and Jasper Faulkner, like Alaric Faulkner, had poison in their bodies.
Alaric Faulkner sat in the middle, his face grim and severe, "What’s the situation?"
Brian Zane spoke solemnly, "President Faulkner, Eleanor’s fetus has split and now has formed identical twins. Insisting on removing them adds an extra layer of danger."
Elder Sawyer also looked troubled, his voice heavy, "I’ve examined it; your blood indeed carries an unknown toxin. I fear what you’re saying is true."
With these words, the atmosphere in the meeting room solidified.
"What kind of poison is it?" Alaric Faulkner’s expression was somewhat unsightly.
Brian Zane looked at Alaric Faulkner, asking, "Have you never felt anything unusual in your body?"
Alaric Faulkner shook his head, his expression icy.
Elder Sawyer murmured, "I haven’t yet discovered the components of this poison, but there is one way it might be solved."
Upon hearing his words, everyone looked over.
Elder Sawyer sighed, "That is to change blood, replace all the blood in the body, then it will be fine."
Brian Zane’s face turned unpleasant, "But how to change? Only young Estelle is okay, but she’s just a child; can she give blood to both President Faulkner and young Caleb?
Even if we wait for her to grow up a bit, it might still be too late! Moreover, President Faulkner and the others have rare blood types."
Facing them were layers of obstacles, each path seemingly walkable but always finding the road blocked.
"And it’s not just the issue of President Faulkner and Caleb now, the most important is the child in Eleanor’s womb, posing a danger to her life. How do we handle this?"
Alaric Faulkner’s forehead veins bulged, his eyes seemingly aflame.
He would rather die than let anything happen to Eleanor Sterling.
Alaric Faulkner looked at Elder Sawyer, hoarsely asking, "Are there any other ways? Can this poison be neutralized?"
"Still not sure, but I can start by researching the toxin’s components; I might be able to formulate something. However, the timing isn’t certain, we’ll need to prepare on two fronts."
Upon hearing this, Alaric Faulkner sank into a somber mood.
He didn’t know the origin of the poison within him, perhaps Franklin Faulkner had administered it, as he had acted against Caleb Faulkner and Jasper Faulkner too.
"Mm, you’d better hurry back to research." Alaric Faulkner responded heavily.
Elder Sawyer hurriedly left with Alaric Faulkner’s blood sample to study the toxin.
Alaric Faulkner left the meeting room, wanting to see Eleanor Sterling.
His phone rang; it was a call from Franklin Faulkner.
Alaric Faulkner’s gaze turned cold; he turned his steps outside, and only after reaching the garden did he answer the call.
Not waiting for Franklin Faulkner to speak, Alaric Faulkner directly said, "I’ll make a deal with you; give me the antidote."
"Heh... anxious? I’m curious to know, how far you are willing to go for Eleanor Sterling?"
Alaric Faulkner gripped the phone, "You can ask for anything."
"Anything?" Franklin Faulkner asked slowly.
"Yes." Alaric Faulkner’s eyes were deep, without a trace of hesitation, as if he would agree to anything no matter what was requested.
Franklin Faulkner sneered, speaking leisurely, "Such deep affection... then I want you to marry Giselle Keating!"
