Twins Reunite: Bringing Mom and Dad Together!
Chapter 734: Moving to a New Place
CHAPTER 734: CHAPTER 734: MOVING TO A NEW PLACE
Eleanor Sterling was discharged from the hospital, but Alaric Faulkner didn’t take her back to the Faulkner Family; instead, he brought her to a secluded villa.
Eleanor had never been to this villa before, and she saw many bodyguards stationed at the entrance.
Seeing them, Eleanor laughed and said, "Although Fenrir kidnapped me twice, you don’t have to be so over the top, do you?"
Alaric curled his lips slightly and said calmly, "For the sake of you and the children’s safety, it’s necessary to be a bit more concerned."
This was perhaps too much concern; anyone unaware might think some big shot lives inside.
The two of them walked into the living room together, where a middle-aged woman was waiting. She nodded at Eleanor and said, "Hello, madam, I’m Mrs. Chen. Just call me Chen Ma. I’ll be responsible for your daily life from now on."
Eleanor smiled, "Hello, Chen Ma."
Alaric held her hand and said softly, "Come on, I’ll take you upstairs to have a look."
They went upstairs together and entered the bedroom.
The view from there was quite beautiful, a lush and verdant panorama. Taking a deep breath felt like a cleanse for the whole body.
Eleanor walked over and sat on the bed, looking at Alaric, she asked, "Am I going to live here from now on? And what about the children?"
Alaric’s eyes darkened slightly, and he said slowly, "Elder Sawyer is trying to find a way. If he can figure something out, then the children will be able to stay.
If there’s no solution, then the children won’t be able to come into this world.
For now, we can’t explain this to your grandparents, so you’re living here to avoid worrying them. As for Star and Ronin, they’ll stay to comfort them."
These words were half-truths; Elder Sawyer was indeed researching the poison in his blood, but there would be no results in the short term.
Meanwhile, he was fulfilling Franklin Faulkner’s demand to marry Giselle Keating in exchange for the antidote.
To Alaric, these things weren’t important as long as Eleanor resided in his heart.
Eleanor and Alaric settled down at the villa.
Every day, Alaric would go out to work in the morning and return in the evening to have dinner with her.
In the villa, Eleanor led a completely carefree life, only needing to eat, drink, and sleep.
Whenever she felt like it, she’d exercise, like doing some easy yoga or swimming.
Alaric claimed that electronic screens were bad for the eyes, so he’d taken away Eleanor’s phone and hadn’t returned it. There was no television in the villa either.
Eleanor’s pastimes had become reading books and drinking tea, engaging in these very refined activities.
One day, Alaric mentioned a business trip that would last 2-3 days, telling her to behave herself and wait for him to come back together.
That night, a torrential downpour began.
A loud boom of thunder tore through the night sky, illuminating everything like daylight. Eleanor awoke from her dream inside the villa.
The room was pitch black, the sound of pouring rain echoed around her, and raindrops tapped softly on the leaves.
Eleanor felt around the space beside her—a cool emptiness.
After a moment, she chuckled at herself, remembering Alaric wasn’t there; he had already gone on his trip, leaving a sense of longing and fondness.
With the storm raging outside, Eleanor felt restless inside. She went to the closet, took Alaric’s clothes, and returned to bed, holding them close against her chest, inhaling his faint scent.
Somehow, this gave her a slight sense of security, as if she were nestled in Alaric’s arms.
Eleanor wanted to send him a message, but her phone wasn’t with her, so she had to forcibly hold back.
After tonight, perhaps Alaric would return soon.
Sleepy and muddled, Eleanor thought to herself, slowly closed her eyes, and gradually drifted back to sleep with her breath calming.
