Twins Reunite: Bringing Mom and Dad Together!
Chapter 74: It’s Not Like It’s the First Time
CHAPTER 74: CHAPTER 74: IT’S NOT LIKE IT’S THE FIRST TIME
Due to the sheer volume of work, no one had free time; they all squeezed into the kitchen.
Eleanor Sterling unceremoniously assigned them tasks: Alaric Faulkner and Jasper Faulkner were to wash vegetables, while Micah Moss would chop them.
No one dared to voice any objections, and everyone seemed to be having a good time.
On the sofa, Estelle Sterling beckoned Caleb Faulkner over with a finger, and he quickly obliged.
"Hey, see that? That’s your dad’s second rival in love; he’s liked Sister Eleanor for a long time."
Caleb Faulkner frowned, letting out a cold snort, "Mommy Eleanor won’t be with him."
That was his intuition.
Estelle grinned widely, "Well, you never know, Uncle Micah has liked Sister Eleanor for so many years. If one day he suddenly confesses, she might be moved to tears and then..."
The more Caleb heard, the more his expression darkened, and now he was unsure. He anxiously looked at Estelle, "What do we do then?"
He wanted Eleanor Sterling as his mom and didn’t want to give her to anyone else.
"Hehehe, don’t worry. Didn’t I say I’d help you? Lend me your ear," Estelle wrapped her arm around Caleb’s shoulder and whispered.
Caleb nodded repeatedly, "Okay, I got it."
Soon, the meal was ready.
During the meal, no one spoke, perhaps because it was too delicious; they were all devouring it eagerly.
After the meal, Eleanor Sterling quietly planned in her heart to send Alaric Faulkner and the others away.
Just as she was about to speak, Estelle suddenly hugged Micah Moss’s leg and said, "Uncle Micah, why don’t you stay here tonight?"
Eleanor’s expression changed slightly—when did Estelle become so clingy?
Micah was momentarily stunned, then he smiled gently.
He replied warmly, "Sure, my hotel wasn’t booked anyway."
These words reached Alaric Faulkner’s ears, and his expression instantly darkened.
Under Alaric’s sharp gaze, Eleanor felt inexplicably uneasy.
Suddenly, she awoke, realizing, wait a minute, she had nothing to do with Alaric, so why should she fear him?
So, Eleanor brazenly said, "If you haven’t booked a hotel, you can make do here for the night."
A flash of surprise and disbelief crossed Micah’s eyes.
He had never stayed over while Eleanor was there; he usually helped watch Estelle when she was away.
Now that Eleanor suggested it, did it mean their relationship could take a step forward?
Estelle winked at Caleb, signaling it was his turn to act.
Caleb nudged Alaric and asked, "Daddy, can we stay here tonight too?"
Upon hearing this, Alaric glared lightly at Caleb, somewhat satisfied with his son’s assist, and replied coolly, "Sure."
Eleanor: "..."
"Sure" my foot, did she agree?
Alaric looked up at Eleanor and slowly dropped a line, "After all, it’s not the first time."
Micah looked incredulously at Eleanor.
What did Alaric mean? Had he stayed here more than once?
Eleanor had been back in Veridia City for a while now, so didn’t that mean...?
Eleanor’s cheeks twitched violently.
My goodness, Alaric’s words were so ambiguous they set imaginations running wild. It was just a little accident last time; he slept on the sofa for one night!
The mood instantly froze.
The smile at the corner of Micah’s lips faded, and he looked at Alaric without a word, thinking about something undisclosed.
Eleanor felt a throbbing headache.
Micah suddenly chuckled softly, his gaze warm as he looked at Eleanor, saying, "Eleanor, my clothes should still be here, right?"
Eleanor instinctively replied, "Yes."
As soon as she spoke, Alaric’s face turned icy, his entire aura becoming sinister and cold.
