Alaric Faulkner and Eleanor Sterling were having a candlelight dinner, having arranged for everyone else to leave, so it was just the two of them.

Lately, he had been busy for several days and had not seen Eleanor Sterling.

Eleanor Sterling raised her glass, which contained juice.

"Congratulations on becoming the head of the Faulkner Family, officially becoming a hero of Aethelgard."

Alaric Faulkner smiled, clinked glasses with her, and said, "The same goes for you, Lady of the Family. I am the head of the Faulkner Family, but I only follow your orders. Doesn’t that make you even more formidable?"

Upon hearing this, Eleanor Sterling laughed.

Alaric Faulkner indeed knew how to make people happy.

Seeing Eleanor Sterling like this, Alaric Faulkner said, "There won’t be any more disruptions in the future. You just need to focus on recuperating."

After saying this, he placed a piece of steak from his plate onto Eleanor Sterling’s plate.

Eleanor Sterling ate happily, feeling incredibly warm inside.

Looking at Alaric Faulkner, she couldn’t help but feel grateful. After all, life had treated her well, allowing her to meet Alaric Faulkner and have a child together.

After their meal, the two strolled hand-in-hand through the Faulkner Family garden. Alaric Faulkner said, "I might be quite busy recently, so it will be hard on you."

Eleanor Sterling shook her head and chuckled softly.

"You’re the one working hard. How could I have it tough?"

"Since I might not be around often, I’ll arrange for a grand wedding once everything stabilizes."

They walked to a terrace and stopped, where they spotted three people in the distance. Alaric Faulkner said, "But you can spend time with Estelle and Caleb."

Eleanor Sterling followed his gaze and saw Estelle Sterling and Caleb Faulkner, as well as Elara and Samuel Langley on the terrace.

Recently, Alaric Faulkner had said he wanted to train the children, so he had arranged for people to teach them. It seemed they were practicing martial arts now.

Eleanor Sterling felt that growing up together, even though the training was strict, it wasn’t too tough for them.

Alaric Faulkner wrapped his arm around Eleanor Sterling’s waist, kissed the top of her head lightly, and whispered, "Thankfully, the children can keep you company."

Eleanor Sterling shook her head with a smile and said, "I’m not that fragile."

She was no longer a child and didn’t need someone with her all the time.

Seeing Alaric Faulkner and Eleanor Sterling, the three children ran over.

Alaric Faulkner released Eleanor Sterling, looked seriously at Estelle Sterling and Caleb Faulkner, and asked, "How is your training going lately?"

The two children, who planned to run to Eleanor Sterling for comfort, regretted it upon hearing this.

They had been under Alaric Faulkner’s rigorous training lately, feeling as if they were about to be buried alive, utterly exhausted.

Seeing the children’s troubled faces, Eleanor Sterling tugged on Alaric Faulkner and whispered, "They’re still young, don’t be so strict."

Alaric Faulkner replied meaningfully, "They’re not that young."

If he didn’t train them, how could he let go early and hand over the Faulkner Family to them, so he and Eleanor could enjoy their own world?

Alaric Faulkner had already decided to work hard for a few more years, then completely let go, leaving the Faulkner Family to the two little ones, and set off with Eleanor Sterling for places they had never been before.
