Chapter 89: Eleanor Sterling Has a Man
CHAPTER 89: CHAPTER 89: ELEANOR STERLING HAS A MAN
Eleanor Sterling had just returned home not long ago when the doorbell rang.
Estelle Sterling and Caleb Faulkner were sitting in the living room playing games, too busy to answer the door, so she glanced at it and went to open the door herself.
Before she had a chance to see who it was, a figure leaped into her arms.
"Master, I’ve missed you so much!"
Eleanor sighed helplessly, shut the door, and pulled the person hanging on her down.
"Did you check on the way here? Make sure you weren’t followed."
If her identity was revealed prematurely, it would ruin the fun. She was waiting to have a good face-off with Faye Sterling.
Anne Adler chuckled, "I’ve been careful, I’m not that stupid."
Estelle Sterling poked her head out, "Sister Anne."
Anne ran over, patted his head, "Little Star, long time no see."
At this point, she noticed Caleb Faulkner and exclaimed, "Oh, who’s this?"
Estelle grinned mischievously and whispered, "Sister Eleanor’s man’s son, my bro Caleb."
Anne looked shocked.
What? Eleanor has a man?
"Who is it, who is it?" she leaned in, gossip-laden.
Estelle was about to speak when a slipper accurately and unerringly hit him on the head.
He clutched his head and yelped.
Eleanor sat down on the sofa and rolled her eyes at Estelle in warning.
Don’t think she didn’t hear the whispers over there.
Anne immediately dashed over to the sofa and plopped down next to Eleanor, "Master, what’s going on?"
"Don’t listen to his nonsense."
Anne touched her nose and said, "Alright, I thought you really found a man."
Eleanor coldly glanced at her, "Don’t worry, by the time you get married, I still might not have a man."
Anne believed this; she had never seen Eleanor with a man all the time she had known her.
Anne snuggled close, affectionately linking arms, "Master, what are you planning with this? I can’t figure it out."
Today at The Sheffield Family’s place, Eleanor surprisingly stayed silent, letting Faye Sterling flaunt her skills.
This was completely unexpected; in her impression, Eleanor wasn’t like this.
Several times, she almost couldn’t hold back from stepping in.
If not for fearing she’d ruin Eleanor’s plan, she would have kicked Faye far away a long time ago.
"Why don’t you take a guess?" Eleanor said.
"..." Anne was speechless; she wasn’t smart enough to guess Eleanor’s thoughts.
Anne stretched lazily, "Whatever you want to do, I’ll do my best to support you."
Suddenly, Anne thought of something. She took out her phone and opened a page for Eleanor to see.
"Master, look, there are quite a few people badmouthing you online, even saying you were going to hit someone today, commit a crime, tsk tsk..."
Eleanor couldn’t be bothered to look. When those people turned up at The Sheffield Family’s place today, she had already guessed it. The Sheffield Family isn’t a place just anyone could loiter around unless someone had orchestrated it.
When she sent Micah Moss over, she already anticipated this outcome. She didn’t even need to see it to know how they’d curse online.
Seeing Eleanor uninterested, Anne lost interest and put her phone away.
She got up and headed toward Eleanor’s room when Eleanor frowned, "Where are you going?"
"To sleep."
Anne turned back, looking innocent.
Eleanor: "..."
"You can’t stay here until this thing is over. If anyone else sees, it’s all over."
"Don’t worry, the legal documents have already been submitted. I’ve left everything to the lawyers; I won’t be going out anytime soon."
After that, Anne closed the door.
Eleanor was speechless, feeling like her home turned into some welfare home.
Not only did she have to take care of another kid, but she also had to take care of a woman!
