CHAPTER 44: LMD

"What do you mean, Sir?"

Rose asked with some confusion.

Tyler returned to his seat and said.

"If I am not wrong, those leaders of Blood Fist and Iron Fist would think that a new Seventh Rank Hunter has risen from a common background."

"Although it is hard to believe, they will try to investigate. And considering how I am trying to create more hunters, they will suspect me."

"These people can attack us with even a little bit of suspicion. But they can’t attack me directly if there is no suspicion, especially due to my connection with Diva."

"So, I need to spread my information to the public. They know there is a small village that has turned into a city."

"But they don’t know much about me. I need them to know me. I need them to study me."

At this moment, he turned around and said to Rose.

"That’s why I didn’t take your suggestions of controlling others."

"If I gain too many villages under me, even if they don’t think much of those villages, there would be some objections."

"Objections create conflict, conflicts create battles, battles cost lives. I don’t want my hunters to lose their lives, not in meaningless battles."

He placed his finger on the table, which showed the map of the continent, and rolled it over the countries in the middle.

"My plan is to create a border around these countries and control the economy of the world."

"You could even say I am trying to create a force that can rival most powerful noble families and the Hunter Association."

"This can’t be done in one or two years. It needs proper planning, and plans need proper execution."

"Although there are some mishaps in my plans, I can still control them."

He pointed his finger at Misaka and said.

"That’s why I only gave you the order to infiltrate and gather information. Next time, if you want to do something extra, inform me beforehand."

"Yes, Lord!"

Misaka accepted her mistake and bowed her head in an apology.

Rose, on the other hand, asked.

"Lord, how do you know Eighth Rank Hunter Diva?"

"Hmm! I met him half a year ago."

Tyler replied.

His connection with Diva wasn’t deep, but it was forged from one aspect.

Currency Change!

This thing had truly shaken the foundation of the nobles, and they would die to know where this idea came from.

If they knew about his identity, even Diva wouldn’t be able to protect him.

"So, what about the other thing?"

Tyler raised his eyebrows towards Misaka and asked.

Misaka hurriedly took out a book from the cluster of those armors and weapons.

She placed the book on his table and said.

"This holds all the necessary information about the Azure Country, Nobles, and some of their secret dealings."

"By the way, I also acquired this."

She took out a flattop rectangular device that looked extremely similar to the hard disk from his previous life.

Seeing that, he took it in his hand and said.

"Ace, scan this!"

A blue light flashed from the side of his head, scanning the hard disk for almost ten seconds.

"Sir, this is an LMD- Localized Memory Disk. It is created by using the Memory Rune combined with the Light Font Rune, Copy-Paste Rune, and Protection Rune."

"Sir, the Protection Rune has locked the memories inside the Memory Rune. The memory is stored in the form of text, but to read it, I need to unlock the Protection Rune."

"Without a correct password, I can only analyze and crack the Protection Rune. This would take around ten hours."

Hearing that, Tyler nodded.

"Alright, do your best! Since it is stored on this disk, it must have some secret information."

"If we get our hands on it, we might be able to utilize it against them. By the way, how good is your multi-tasking function?"

"Sir, I can handle five different tasks simultaneously without any delay. If I am given more than that, I would need to overexert my processing power."

"This can significantly hamper my performance."

As Tyler got his reply, he nodded.

"Then, you can start copying this book as well."

He knew his AI Chip was capable of working on its own.

It slowly created a small handle to the book and started unfolding it. Each unfold only took less than a second, significantly decreasing the reading time.

"Wow! Is this what you call AI, Lord?" Rose asked with amazement. Although she knew it was reading the book, it was too fast.

If she didn’t know a thing or two about AI, she wouldn’t even believe this was possible.

"Yes, Ace is a capable Artificial Intelligence with a lot of functions. I believe one day, I will be able to put Ace in the entire city."

"Then, without any human interaction, Ace will be able to take care of defenses, income logs, personal data, and even process development plans for the city."

Hearing that, Misaka frowned and said.

"Sir, I am not doubting your AI, but if it does all of that, wouldn’t it steal jobs from others?"

Tyler shook his head and said.

"Misaka, as much as I want to take things slow, I still want to enjoy my life as well. I don’t want to be bothered with most of the things in the city every single day."

"Ace will be a perfect replacement for me. Its loyalty is no less than yours, and it can do all of the things I mentioned before."

"But don’t worry, I will not use Ace to replace human jobs. It’s just that soon, most of the population in our city will be transformed into hunters."

"Then, we will need Ace to do the logistics job while hunters do what they should do."

"Hunt!"

If he wanted to bring peace to this world, having power was most important.

But unless a single person had the power to overwhelm the entire world, he wouldn’t succeed with just his power.

So, he needed a lot of qualified hunters who could create a new kind of balance between humans and monsters.

The conflict between humans and monsters stemmed from the fact that humans used monsters to improve their physical strength while monsters used humans as cheating pills.

If he could create a force that had the power to literally destroy one of two races, he could bring an Era of Peace in this world.

Would it make humans weaker and monsters’ progression slower?

Yes, absolutely!

But thousands of lives that die every single month due to these battles, it would be much better.

Especially since, except for a few villages, children, old people would be the ones dying first and in large numbers in the Outbreak.

His village was an exception.

After she got his confirmation, Misaka didn’t continue with this topic; instead looked at those armors and weapons, asking.

"What should we do with these?"

"Smelting!"

Tyler’s reply was concise.

Except for that, they didn’t have any other choice.

Unless they wanted to pick a fight with them, they had to use these armors and weapons to create something else.

Although they were a product and not ores, the process would be similar.

Thinking about it, Tyler turned towards Rose and asked.

"How is the production of our factory?"

"Sir, I just checked it this morning. The building is complete. We just need to bring in the equipment."

"Okay, contact John and tell him to buy the required equipment in bulk. We need more than one of those factories."

Hearing that, a strange look appeared on her face as Rose asked.

"But sir, we don’t have that much iron ore."

"We can mine. I have read the reports on Ores and Minerals Distribution throughout this continent."

"According to that report, most of the gold can only be found in the middle part of the continent, while other metals like iron, zinc, and coal can be found in these areas."

He said while pointing at the borders of those countries.

Hearing that, Misaka’s eyes lit up as she said.

"Sir, is this why you want to get those villages under control?"

"Part of it is the reason. How many times do I’ve to say this? I am doing this to control the economy."

"Naturally, I have taken different things into consideration while making this plan."

"Mining can’t be started right now. Those nobles can be pretty nasty at stealing things from others."

He said with a disgusted tone and continued.

"But this doesn’t mean we will wait forever. Start creating factories. Once those villages have recovered, we will send them a budget to build these factories."

"Then, we will start making mines."

Hearing his words, Rose nodded her head.

"I will ask our workers to start the construction of the second factory. Sir, if we are taking such a huge project, we will be understaffed."

"Don’t worry, Misaka has already created an opportunity for us. It won’t take long before people will run to our city."
