CHAPTER 45: THIRD ABILITY?

After Rose got her instructions, she left the room.

Tyler turned towards Misaka and asked.

"How did you know she wanted to have sex with me?"

Misaka chuckled and said.

"Because I want the same thing."

Tyler couldn’t help but feel speechless.

There wasn’t any romantic encounter between them.

Due to their loyalty and their gender, these two women wanted nothing more than to have sex with him.

He was glad that a similar thing wouldn’t happen to boys.

He shook his head, disrupting his thoughts that were about to go wild. He raised his head and asked.

"Anyway, I have a question for you. I have been thinking about my power. Currently, I should be able to fight Fifth Rank, but I can’t win."

"And from what you said before, this gap will only get wider. So, I have been thinking. Should I awaken the Third Ability?"

When she heard that, Misaka’s expression changed drastically as she asked.

"Where did you get that idea, Lord? You shouldn’t do that. You should just continue to develop your current skills."

Tyler wasn’t displeased by her attitude. It was a normal thing for her to worry.

One of the main reasons why people get stuck on a certain rank is mainly due to the fact that they couldn’t create a proper skill.

But he was the man who had read thousands of fictional stories? How could he not even get creative with so many ideas?

He raised his hand and said.

"You are worried that I won’t be able to create new skills, right? You don’t need to be worried. I am full of imagination."

Hearing that, Misaka hurriedly shook her head and said.

Tyler nodded his head.

Misaka shook her head.

"By having a multitude of abilities, you will be creating multiple skills, and multiple skills will have multiple relations with each other."

"These relationships can break or make a skill. For example, I have three skills- Almighty Push, Super Almighty Push, and Body Gravity."

"Do you know why I created Body Gravity instead of Ultimate Almighty Push or another powerful version of Almighty Push?"

Tyler shook his head. He didn’t know any of this.

He knew skills were connected, but he didn’t know the true depth of that connection.

Misaka started explaining.

"Because my final goal is to control the gravity released by my body. Whether it is Almighty Push or Body Gravity, both are released from me."

"So when my skills evolve, I will get the skill to control gravity, releasing from my body."

"And as an Epic Skill, there will not be any kind of limit to my gravitational. So, I can cause a small push or destroy an entire continent."

"But my second Epic Skill will be about controlling gravity at a distance. My current skills are Almighty Pull, Super Almighty Pull, and No Gravity."

"These three skills allow me to control gravity at a distance. So when my ability evolves, I will be able to simply create black holes at a distance."

"At least, that’s how I envisioned my next epic skills."

"But if I hadn’t done this, or if I had mixed up my skills where both skills allow me to control gravity from distance or on myself, then it wouldn’t have worked."

"My advancement would fail immediately. So if you awaken a third ability now, you will either have to choose something that won’t mix with your previous abilities."

"Or, you mustn’t do this. I think you shouldn’t do this. Although it can make you powerful, you need to understand that two similar skills can not co-exist in a higher rank."

At this moment, Tyler understood the mechanism of the skills.

Essentially, skills were functions.

Two similar functions couldn’t exist under one program, and two programs can’t have similar functions under one processor.

His Totem Creation was probably one of the most broken abilities, but now, it was startling to be a hassle.

Of course, this kind of advancement wasn’t that different from the previous, except it had more restrictions.

Misaka curiously asked.

"What is it?"

"Absurdity!"

Tyler replied.

Misaka frowned, not understanding what he meant by that.

Tyler saw her expression and explained.

"Abilities can be absurd. As long as one has intense desire and resources, they can awaken abilities that can break the fundamental rules of nature."

"To contend against such abilities, I need an ability that isn’t complex but has a very high ceiling."

"After all, this is not a cultivation world where all Dao converges into one."

"Cultivation what?"

"Nothing!"

Tyler shook his head.

There was another reason why he wanted to awaken his third ability. But he didn’t tell Misaka about it.

Because he found that his reasoning was quite childish. Yes, he simply wanted to awaken a new ability and grow it to Fourth Rank because he could.

Even if one just awakened Fire Element, Water Element, Earth Element, Lightning Element, and Wind Element, there wouldn’t be any functional similarity in their skills.

The function of the Fire Element was to create Fire. As long as it didn’t move like wind and lightning, there would be no problem.

For example, if two skills could improve one’s physical strength similarly, would they shatter?
