CHAPTER 46: SPATIAL CONTROL

Space!

It was a natural existence of the universe. Space consisted of everything that could exist.

When humans began awakening their abilities, some desired to teleport, control things from a distance, or create inventories.

These desires slowly began to give humans the ability to teleport. It started with teleportation, but as human desire grew, it transformed.

Slowly, it turned into Space Cut, Space Barrier, and so much more.

The skills were created based on the user’s imagination, but the abilities were mostly connected to Space.

The reason that happened was that they didn’t know what space was.

Space wasn’t an empty jar that contained everything. It was a threat woven with time to create a four-dimensional structure.

This structure was known as the Universe.

Space represented length, width, and height. It represented the total volume that existed as an all-encompassing field.

Desiring Space was the same as desiring control.

This control represented one’s ability to lock, move, and contain matter, energy, and gas.

While also sharing this control with the fourth-dimensional power of time.

As Tyler kept imagining the Space, the Ability Crystal started resonating with the Universe.

The clearer his mind became, the more directional this resonance became.

And the Universe responded with a secret thread, attaching it to his ability crystal.

During this process, this was all he knew.

That’s all he felt.

Everything else with the thread happening was still a mystery.

Not just to him but to the world.

So, he had no choice but to wait patiently as a powerful reaction occurred in his Ability Crystal.

It felt like a tremor, but after a few shockwaves, it started to calm down.

The size of the crystal slightly improved, and a new message appeared in his mind.

Spatial Control!

Yeah! He didn’t exactly awaken the power of space, but rather the power to control three dimensions around him.

This was the power of space, but from a molecular perspective. Because what he could do with this power was immense.

Manipulating molecules, changing electrons and protons, controlling the three dimensions as a map, and rearranging matter.

For a moment, it felt so similar to Reality Manipulation.

But upon closer look, he realized he couldn’t control Reality, change the very fabric of space-time.

He could control space but not time, meaning he had no control over Reality.

Reality was anchored by Space-Time.

Without complete control over Space-Time, he wouldn’t be able to control Reality.

He released a deep breath and started utilizing the Natural Energy in his Ability Crystal to generate new skills.

He had already awakened two abilities. While training his first ability, he made a lot of mistakes and wasted a lot of Natural Energy.

Even while training his second ability, he still made some mistakes, overestimating the power of his skills, resulting in failures.

But now, he was confident in what he needed to create as a Common Skill.

As his thoughts started manifesting, the Ability Crystal vibrated rapidly, using a large amount of Natural Energy to condense the first skill.

After five minutes, a new card emerged from the Ability Crystal.

[First Skill- Object Control]

It was a simple skill that allowed him to control the objects around him. The objects had mass and something his eyes could see properly.

The number of objects he could control was less than ten, but the weight depended on his stamina and Aura.

Without stopping, he started utilizing the remaining Natural Energy to create two more skills.

[Second Skill- Barrier]

It was a skill that allowed him to apply a small portion of Spatial Control to densely rearrange large threads of space in front of him to block attacks.

This skill required a lot of stamina and Aura. It was also a skill that he took some risks to create.

He had tested the upper and lower limits of his skills through previous abilities.

So, he knew what level of skill he could create by giving it certain weaknesses and strengths.

In this case, he gave this skill a ridiculous power to rearrange spatial threads in front of him to create a forcefield.

But using this skill would consume five times more stamina or Aura than any other skills.

Finally, the third skill was also created.

[Third Skill- Shambles]

This skill allowed him to swap places with objects within his range. But the objects couldn’t be living beings or things he couldn’t see.

At the same time, it was also stamina stamina-consuming skill but a lot less than the second skill.

The reason he placed these restrictions was simply due to its following path.

After he finished all of Natural Energy, he opened his eyes and stood up.

He wasn’t surprised to find Misaka in the same position.

"How long have I been practicing?"

He asked.

"Less than two hours!"

Hearing that, Tyler nodded his head.

"The connection with Space took quite some time. I believe I didn’t spend more than twenty minutes while creating skills."

"After all, Space is one of the most powerful and mysterious abilities humans can awaken."

"But it can also lead to a dead end faster. After all, if the user can’t create skills, he won’t be able to improve."

Tyler nodded his head.

"Hmm! Twenty-seven Common Skills requires a lot of imagination."

’Fortunately, I have a lot of ideas.’

"Sir, are you going to continue practicing?"

Misaka asked.

Tyler shook his head and walked out of his office, followed by Misaka.

Soon, they walked to the chamber connected to his mansion. This chamber was connected underground, and it was created as a prison.

While it was dangerous to keep criminals near him, he knew the concept of keeping friends close but enemies closer.

So, he had made this prison in the backyard of the mansion. Since it was underground, people could only access it through his mansion.

But there weren’t a lot of cells.

Only dozens or so. He walked up to one of the cells where Khalim was imprisoned.

"Khalim!"

He saw a man tied with chains, sitting on the ground.

Khalim raised his head, and a scornful look appeared on his face.

"So Lord, what do you plan to do with me?"

"Hmm! I have been thinking. There are only two options for you. Public Execution and Life Imprisonment!"

"Right now, your family doesn’t know about your actions. So, I have been hesitating about this decision."

Hearing his words, Khalim sneered.

"Oh, Great Lord, do you think I will feel anything for my family? Everything I did was for myself."

"I never did anything wrong. It’s just you who thinks I am wrong. Look around you, Lord, not everyone lives by your rules."

Tyler nodded his head and said.

"That’s why I want to publicly execute you. There is only one way to keep people in check. It’s Fear!"

"Fear of Religion, Fear of Laws, Fear of Punishment! These create boundaries for people, boundaries that they wish they didn’t cross."

"In this world, the only thing stopping strong from killing weak is the Fear of Spirit."

"Now, I want to bring Fear of Laws. And, you will be the example I want to set for the public."

Hearing that, a look of horror appeared on his face as he cursed.

"I will curse you, bastard. I will curse this city. I will return as Spirit and destroy everything you’ve built."

Seeing this, Tyler nodded his head.

"Yes, I want you to return. Keep this in mind! I want you to return as a spirit. Three hours from now, you will be executed at the center of Shadow Totem City."

"Your family will be notified of your crimes. Let’s go, Misaka!"

As he left, the horror on his face turned into despair.

At this moment, Khalim realized that even if he returned as a Spirit, he wouldn’t be able to do anything to Tyler.

He didn’t understand why Tyler was so confident, but he knew his crimes would result in his family getting rejected and contempt by the whole city.

In this city, the most respected person wasn’t a God.

It was Tyler. His friends, comrades, and even his family would die for Tyler.

He knew this. He wasn’t much different until he secretly became jealous of John and started kidnapping his fellow citizens.

People were starting to change.

From utter contempt for human trafficking to complete rejection and even outright conflict was the performance of this city’s people.

Only people like him and Rose, who had ulterior motives, would still want to do things that their Lord considered wrong.

He didn’t even know Rose was similar to him. He believed he was the only one who didn’t submit to Tyler’s ideology.

He rejected Tyler’s ideology, and that rebellious idea would now cause problems for his family.

Unaware of his thoughts, Tyler walked towards another prison cell where one of the traffickers was kept.

"Sir, what do you plan to do with him?"

Misaka couldn’t help but feel curious as she saw Tyler release some of his Aura.

"Before you returned, I managed to create a Fourth Skill for my Shadow Manipulation, and I plan to test it here."
