CHAPTER 36: SECT TEACHINGS II
Mu Qinxue nodded, prepared for the question.
"Unlike other elemental resistances," she said, "the Poison Immunity has an different defined tiered system. It scales like this: Ten poisons, hundred poisons, thousand poisons... and continues all the way up—ten thousand, hundred thousand, million, ten million, billion. And at the top: total immunity to all poisons."
Tian Lei’s eyes widened slightly at that.
"But that’s just one aspect," Mu Qinxue continued. "With the Flawless Jade Body, your body is over a hundred times tougher and more durable than Normal Heavenly Body."
She raised a finger, emphasizing her next point.
"And because your body has now reached such a state of purity, you can only absorb and cultivate using pure spirit energy. Which means—your energy will always be of higher quality, and over time, you’ll generate more of it than others."
Tian Lei nodded slowly, starting to see the bigger picture.
"Also," she added with a faint smile, "your body now actively rejects any new impurities on its own. You won’t have to constantly cleanse or detoxify yourself like other cultivators do. That alone will give you a massive edge in long-term progress."
"Is that really necessary?" Tian Lei asked, raising a brow.
Mu Qinxue nodded calmly. "Yes. No matter how refined a pill or treasure is, unless it’s completely flawless, it will still carry impurities. Those impurities get absorbed into the body along with the medicinal energy."
She leaned forward slightly, her tone turning serious. "For most cultivators, this isn’t noticeable right away. But over time—especially before breakthroughs—it adds up. That’s why many cultivators go through multiple cycles of cleansing or enter secluded detox stages before attempting major realm advancements."
She then smiled faintly, her gaze lingering on him. "But for you, that’s no longer an issue. Your body will naturally reject all impurities. It’s a massive advantage—one that most would kill to have."
Tian Lei nodded slowly, taking it in. "...Makes sense. That really will save me a lot of effort."
"Now then," Mu Qinxue said, straightening up, "Do you have any other questions? That’s the core knowledge I have regarding the Flawless Jade Body."
Tian Lei rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Actually... yes. Could you explain the realm system to me a bit? I’m only familiar with the basics—Body Forging, Qi Refining, Qi Condensation, and Qi Core Creation. But I know that’s just the Mortal Path, right?"
Mu Qinxue’s expression softened. "Correct. Those are the foundational tiers. But once you transcend the Mortal Path, you step into the Realm of Awakening."
She began to list them clearly:
Mortal Cultivation Path:
Body Forging
Qi Refining
Qi Condensation
Core Creation.
"And after that comes the Spirit Awakening Realm, which consists of the following stages:"
Spirit Warrior, Spirit Master, Spirit Grandmaster, Spirit Lord, Spirit King, Spirit Emperor, Spirit Saint, and finally, Spirit Enlightenment.
"The key to this realm is the Spirit Aspect, which means you will awaken your Spirit—your innate affinity or essence. It’s often a unique trait tied deeply to your nature, and it begins to manifest at this stage."
She paused for emphasis.
"This is also called the true beginning of cultivation."
"Master, what is this ’Spirit’ you spoke of?" Tian Lei asked curiously.
Mu Qinxue nodded, then gently reached out her hand. In the next moment, a beautiful sword appeared in her grasp. It wasn’t just a weapon—it radiated presence. The blade was elegant, pale pink in hue, with a white hilt adorned by delicate blossom patterns. The air around it shimmered faintly, as if it existed half a step beyond the mundane.
"This is my Spirit—the Soul-Ensaring Blade," she said calmly.
"As you can see, my Spirit manifested in the form of this sword. You will awaken your own Spirit when you reach the peak of the Qi Core Creation stage. At that point, your Spirit will emerge from within your core. Think of it as forming an egg during the Qi Core Creation process—and once you reach its peak, that ’egg’ will hatch, revealing your true Spirit."
Tian Lei listened with wide eyes, genuinely intrigued.
"How fascinating..." he murmured.
"Hmm, it indded is," she murmured. "Even I was stunned when my master first explained it to me."
Tian Lei looked thoughtful, then asked, "Is this Spirit... truly that significant to a cultivator?"
"I mean, I have never seen anyone fight uisng their Spirits?"
Mu Qinxue nodded. "Its normal you have not seen it in regular spars. After all, its considered a cultivator’s second life. That’s why most only summon their Spirit in times of grave danger. If it gets destroyed, while it won’t directly affect your cultivation speed or nor the ability to Cultivate, it will make you significantly weaker than others who still have theirs intact."
He nodded, understanding the gravity of her words.
"Is there any realm beyond the Spirit Realm?" he asked curiously.
"Yes," she said with a faint smile. "But I’ll only tell you about it once you reach the Spirit Realm yourself."
Tian Lei nodded in acknowledgment.
"Now," Mu Qinxue said calmly, "I will impart the techniques to you."
She raised her hand and gently pressed two fingers against the center of his forehead.
In an instant, a surge of spiritual energy flowed into his mind. Tian Lei’s eyes widened slightly as countless runes, stances, and cultivation methods unfolded within his consciousness—techniques he had never seen before, detailed and each one more profound than the last.
They etched themselves into his memory like ink on parchment, clear and eternal.
As the glowing symbols faded from his vision, Tian Lei blinked, still dazed by the sheer volume of information now embedded in his mind.
Mu Qinxue withdrew her hand, her expression composed but her voice proud.
"I have given you three foundational techniques," she said, folding her hands behind her back as her robes settled like a still lake. "Each one chosen with your potential in mind."
She raised one finger.
"First—your cultivation method: Nine-Colored Feather Sutra. It’s the pinnacle Heaven grade technique of our Azure Feather Sect. Designed for versatility, it channels your spirit energy through nine distinct meridian streams—each aligned with a unique attribute. Every completed cycle not only refines your Qi but also harmonizes it with the natural world. Even mastering the first color will set you leagues above typical cultivators."
