CHAPTER 13: CHAPTER 13: SOPHIE FALLS INTO DAMIEN LANCASTER’S HANDS

Five hours later.

Damien Lancaster’s private jet landed on the private tarmac at Aethelgard International Airport.

Looking at this familiar city, Ivy Summers felt a whirlwind of emotions; she never expected to return in such a way.

Exiting the plane, Damien Lancaster and Rachel Shaw walked ahead, with Ivy Summers following behind.

To prevent her from escaping, four bodyguards trailed closely behind her at all times.

Ivy Summers sneered inwardly; she’s already back, does he still fear she’ll run off?

Ivy Summers paused in her steps, "I need to use the restroom."

Julian Jacobs halted and said, "Miss Summers, please hurry, we will wait for you."

"Okay."

Damien Lancaster stopped and glanced at Ivy Summers walking in the opposite direction, "What is she up to?"

Julian Jacobs replied, "Miss Summers said she’s going to the restroom."

Damien Lancaster frowned.

This woman would stall for time if she just said so.

Damien Lancaster stopped to wait for her.

At that moment, three little ones had also come to Aethelgard on a private jet and exited the terminal at the airport.

Leo lifted his little head and looked around, "So this is the city where Mommy grew up."

Sophie was bouncing happily, "Mommy will definitely be very happy to see us."

Nathan shook his head, his little face serious as he sternly observed Leo and Sophie causing a ruckus.

He believed that when Mommy saw them, she’d be shocked rather than pleasantly surprised.

Nathan sighed deeply.

To have two lively little siblings.

What trouble.

"Brother, Sophie needs to go to the restroom."

"Brother will go with you."

"No need, you guys wait here for Sophie."

After saying this, Sophie immediately dashed towards the restroom.

The little one was a bit anxious, running quickly and not noticing the person in front of her, she ran into them head-on, the person’s leg was long and sturdy, making Sophie fall on her bottom.

Damien Lancaster furrowed his brow and looked down, seeing a little girl sitting on the ground.

"It’s you!"

The little crybaby.

Sophie looked up and directly locked eyes with Damien Lancaster.

Bad Daddy!

Oh no!

How can it be such a coincidence?

Without a word, Sophie scrambled up to run away.

Damien Lancaster recalled the little girl who appeared at the hotel last night; though he couldn’t be sure it was her, there was a possibility. His long arm reached out and grabbed the little girl, "Wait a moment."

Sophie clutched her little stomach.

She really needed to pee.

"What are you doing here?"

Sophie tightly closed her little mouth.

Need to pee.

Need to pee.

Sophie really needed to pee.

Seeing her not speaking, Damien Lancaster didn’t let her go.

The first time at the auction, the second time at the hotel, now again at Aethelgard Airport.

Encountering this little girl three times in two days was too coincidental for Damien Lancaster not to be suspicious.

Seeing the little girl’s bizarre expression, Damien Lancaster squatted down and asked, "Why are you here alone? Where are your parents?"

Sophie didn’t know how to respond.

"Did you come by yourself?"

She couldn’t say she came with her brothers.

Sophie could only nod, then attempted to run.

Feeling urgent, very urgent.

Damien Lancaster pulled her back.

This little girl appeared to be four or five years old, flying alone from Yrador to Aethelgard?

Before Damien Lancaster could say anything, Sophie burst into tears.

Damien Lancaster was at a loss; was he really that terrifying?

Did this little girl cry every time she saw him?

"Damien... she wet herself!"

Rachel Shaw pointed at Sophie in disdain.

Damien Lancaster looked down and saw that the little girl’s pants were wet.

Sophie felt extremely embarrassed and began crying loudly, "Bad uncle, why did you hold me back? Sophie wanted to go potty... waaah..."

Damien Lancaster was overwhelmed; so the little girl’s strange expression earlier was because she was holding it in?

The little girl cared about her dignity, and wetting herself in public was doing a number on her feelings.

Seeing her tear-streaked face, Damien Lancaster felt some pity. He stood up, took off his suit jacket, and wrapped it around Sophie.

Rachel Shaw watched in disbelief, intending to stop him, "Damien, it’s dirty, just leave her."

Damien Lancaster ignored her and used his jacket to wrap Sophie up, picking her up, "I’ve covered you, no one saw it, don’t cry."

Sophie’s eyes and nose were red, but enveloped in the big jacket, Sophie felt a bit of safety, gradually calming down.

"Did you come alone, or did you get separated from your parents?" Damien Lancaster patiently asked her.

Sophie couldn’t mention coming with her brothers.

"I came alone."

Damien Lancaster saw that the little girl didn’t seem to be lying.

In such a situation, Damien Lancaster couldn’t just leave her there alone.

Better to find things out and send her back properly.

"I’ll take you to change clothes and then let your parents come pick you up."

"I don’t want to, I want..." Brother...

Sophie spotted her two brothers who had come out looking for her since she hadn’t returned for a while.

"Sophie! Bad Daddy!" Nathan and Leo were shocked, how did Sophie end up with Damien Lancaster.

Damien Lancaster instructed Julian Jacobs to contact Sophie’s parents as he carried the little girl to the car.

Rachel Shaw stood aside, watching unbelievingly.

Damien Lancaster had a germaphobia; how could this be?

He was being too kind to this inexplicably appearing child.

Ivy Summers was in the restroom attempting to borrow a power bank to charge her phone and contact Ella Morgan, but Ella’s phone was unreachable.

Ivy Summers was a bit anxious but couldn’t linger in the restroom for too long.

She could only go out first.

Just outside the restroom, Ivy Summers saw Damien Lancaster carrying something out.

Ivy Summers asked Julian Jacobs next to her, "Who is Damien holding?"

Julian Jacobs replied, "A little girl who came to Aethelgard alone; sir plans to contact her parents to pick her up."

Ivy Summers smirked slightly.

He still had some kindness left.

"Let’s go."

Rachel Shaw and Damien Lancaster got into a car.

Ivy Summers got into the car behind.

"That’s Mommy!" Leo and Nathan hid in a spot, watching them leave.

Nathan saw Ivy Summers and Sophie both being taken away.

Immediately panicking.

"It’s over, Sophie was taken by Bad Daddy again, what should we do?"

Nathan wasn’t flustered, "Don’t panic yet, we’ll find a chance to contact Mommy later, for now let’s follow them."

The two little ones ran out, getting into a taxi and instructing it to follow Damien Lancaster’s convoy.

An hour later, the car stopped at Lancaster Manor.

After five years away, it still looked as grand as before; the Lancaster Family was one of the top noble families in Aethelgard, and the manor’s sheer size was awe-inspiring, just seeing the gates inspired respect.

Damien Lancaster walked ahead carrying Sophie, while Rachel Shaw clenched her teeth secretly.

Damien Lancaster loved children so much; it was fortunate Ivy Summers hadn’t had the child back then.

Otherwise, she would have no place here.

Ivy Summers got out of the car, and Rachel Shaw looked back at her, warning in a cold voice, "Ivy Summers, don’t think that just because you’ve come back with us, you have any chance with Damien. Put those thoughts away; Damien brought you back only because Old Master Lancaster wanted to see you, nothing else."

Ivy Summers wanted to laugh.

Did she stop just to warn her?

Was she concerned about Damien or not confident in herself?

Ivy Summers ignored her and walked inside.

Seeing Damien Lancaster return, the servants immediately welcomed him, "Young Master, you’re back."

"Yes," Damien Lancaster responded lightly and handed the little girl to a servant, "Take her to get cleaned up."

"Is it Damien who’s back?"

Hearing the commotion at the door, a noblewoman wearing a light blue qipao with a shawl on her shoulders walked out.

The noblewoman was exquisitely dressed and well-maintained; though in her fifties, she appeared just over forty.

She was Damien Lancaster’s mother, Seraphina Kennedy.

Seeing Damien Lancaster return with a child, she was surprised, "Damien, whose child is this?"

"Found at the airport."

Seraphina Kennedy’s brightened eyes dimmed; she thought perhaps the child Ivy Summers was supposed to have had back then was brought back by Damien Lancaster.

But it wasn’t.

Just as Seraphina Kennedy was about to say something, she saw Ivy Summers walk in behind.

Upon seeing Ivy Summers, Seraphina Kennedy’s expression paused, staring at her for several seconds as if to confirm it was really her, "Ivy Summers?"
