CHAPTER 121: CHAPTER 121: YOU STARTED THIS

Desmond Fairchild’s cold gaze was transmitted through the rearview mirror, and the driver hurriedly focused on the road ahead, not daring to take another look.

Returning to Azure Cloud Shores.

Seraphina Sinclair was still intoxicated. Desmond sighed softly and skillfully helped her out of her clothes, carrying her into the bathroom.

This woman was as light as a feather, effortlessly cradled in his arms. Despite her slender frame, she possessed all the feminine charms one could desire.

After all, he was a normal man; with such a warm and soft woman in his embrace, how could he not be moved? Besides, the woman before him was also the mother of his son.

Despite having given birth, she maintained the purity of a young girl, yet exuded an indescribable mature charm.

Gazing at her flushed cheeks and slightly parted red lips, Desmond couldn’t help but feel a catch in his throat.

Quickly, he cleaned her, dressed her in sleepwear, and placed her on the large bed, finally exhaling deeply. He was afraid that if he looked at her any longer or felt her warmth for another second, he would lose control.

Just as he was about to leave, he felt a pair of delicate hands slowly crawling up his back, and soon Seraphina lay softly against him.

"Desmond." Seraphina murmured softly, "I’m so hot."

"I’ll turn on the air conditioner." Desmond tried hard to suppress the flames within him, his deep voice swirling around Seraphina’s ears.

Seraphina clung tightly to him, her small face pressed against the thin shirt on his back: "You’re so cool, it’s comfortable. Can I hold you for a bit?"

Already struggling with his inner heat, her touch shattered his last strand of reason.

He took several deep breaths, suppressing the urge to take her right there: "Be good, don’t make trouble."

Seraphina’s small hands grasped his shoulders, and the next second, she nestled into Desmond’s arms, pouting her luscious lips in discontent: "Desmond, are you even a man? I’m a mother now, but still a beauty. Aren’t you the least bit moved?"

Her shocking words made Desmond wonder if she was really drunk.

Seeing her dazed eyes, Desmond pressed his lips tightly. It seemed she was indeed very drunk; otherwise, given her usual personality, she would never say such outrageous things.

His large hand gently caressed her shy, blushing face, and his thin lips curled slightly: "Seraphina Sinclair, you initiated this."

The last thing a man wants is to be called less of a man.

He turned over, pressing Seraphina beneath him, his hoarse voice tinged with passion, making it even more alluring: "Am I a man? You’ll know if you try."

As their eyes met, something seemed to flow between them. Seraphina’s pink lips parted slightly, and her tender arms instinctively wrapped around Desmond’s neck.

Desmond’s last shred of reason vanished instantly as he lowered his head and captured those sweet lips, gently licking and biting them.

To his surprise, Seraphina responded, although her kissing skills were awkward, she still took the initiative to lick Desmond’s thin lips.

"Damn little vixen." Desmond growled lowly, pulling the woman in his arms closer.

The night outside was deep, and the bedroom was filled with endless passion.

The next day, Seraphina was sore all over, getting up only in the afternoon, skipping work. Remembering what happened the day before, she blushed slightly, but since she had drunk too much, she couldn’t blame Desmond too much.

In fact, it seemed she didn’t feel any resistance in her heart.

Desmond’s approach didn’t work, and Mrs. Lloyd wasn’t willing to give up either. After some deliberation, she decided to target Seraphina Sinclair.

"Miss Sinclair, there’s an elderly lady downstairs claiming she has something to discuss with you."

"Is it Grandma? Let her in, please." Seraphina was watching TV at home, surprised to hear the news, she quickly went to greet her, finding it was Mrs. Lloyd.

"What do you want to say?"

The moment Seraphina saw her, she wanted to leave, but was held back.

Mrs. Lloyd felt a bit guilty and awkwardly smiled before speaking softly: "Seraphina, we’re old acquaintances, so I’ll be straightforward. I came to apologize to you today. At the charity banquet, I spoke out of turn—"

"What about speaking out of turn? If apologies were enough, why would we need the police?" Before Mrs. Lloyd could finish, Seraphina’s cold voice interrupted.

"Seraphina, listen to yourself. We were mother-in-law and daughter-in-law once, it’s been so long, you don’t have to hold a grudge."

Seeing Seraphina’s indifferent expression, Mrs. Lloyd’s heart flustered, hurrying to explain herself.

If Mrs. Lloyd had known back then about Seraphina and Desmond’s involvement, she wouldn’t have dared to quarrel with her.

After all, in Bayside City’s business circle, Desmond Fairchild’s status was unmatched.

"Holding a grudge?" Seraphina laughed coldly and retorted.

"Then tell me, what will it take for you to leave me alone?"

Seraphina’s words were so harsh that Mrs. Lloyd’s expression faltered, immediately asking her.

Before coming, Mrs. Lloyd had planned to keep her emotions in check, but seeing Seraphina, she found it impossible to do so.

Five years ago, Seraphina seemed like a pampered lady to outsiders, but she always acted humbly in front of Mrs. Lloyd, never daring to show temper.

"Leave you alone, that’s never going to happen. Pass a message to your son for me, tell him the real show is just beginning, and to patiently wait for the exciting plot—"

"You! Seraphina Sinclair, my son was blind back then!"

"I was the blind one, wasn’t I? You lured me in to take over the Sinclair estate, then turned around and caused my father’s death and took over the Sinclair estate. Every single debt, I’ll make sure you pay." Seraphina had spoken so mercilessly, and Mrs. Lloyd naturally felt no need to maintain any decorum. The moment she finished speaking, she grabbed her bag tightly and hurried away.

Mrs. Lloyd was always one to embellish tales. From Seraphina’s place to home, she cried and complained to Ethan Lloyd, not forgetting to exaggerate at crucial moments.

After hearing Mrs. Lloyd, Ethan’s face turned livid, disbelief etched in his eyes.

"What? Things like this actually happened?"

Seeing Ethan’s anger, Mrs. Lloyd kept embellishing, "Yes, son, I went with good intentions to apologize, and yet Seraphina Sinclair could say such things! She even told me to pass a message to you, saying the real show is just starting, and that you’ll get what’s coming to you..."

As soon as she finished, Mrs. Lloyd’s eyes subconsciously glanced at Ethan. Seeing his stern face, she knew his emotions were ignited.

Quickly, he addressed Mrs. Lloyd: "Mom, don’t worry, I won’t let you suffer this grievance for nothing!"

Hearing Ethan’s words, Mrs. Lloyd’s eyes showed a bit of joy, and she seized the opp ortunity to further fuel Ethan’s anger, contentedly leaving as his expression grew darker.

"Seraphina Sinclair, you little wench, how dare you disrespect me! Do you really think I can’t deal with you? If that’s the case, letting Ethan teach you a lesson should be worthwhile, to stop you from overstepping your bounds." Mrs. Lloyd mused smugly, as if she was already watching Ethan retaliate on her behalf.

She usually paid no attention to company affairs and assumed the family’s company issue was minor and could be resolved soon.

Little did she know her reckless actions would soon worsen the already bleak situation of the Lloyd Group.

Back in the study, Ethan sat in the chair, scanning through all the information about Kevin Group he’d gathered recently, with his mother’s words continually replaying in his mind.

He knew his own mother’s nature well enough to gauge the truth in her words to him.

However, that she suffered at Seraphina’s hands was undeniable.

Ethan shifted his gaze to the documents, pausing on the latest news about Kevin Group’s cooperation with Lonex Company, his eyes revealing a thoughtful expression.

Lonex Company, a newly emerging internet company, had swiftly secured a foothold in the industry despite its short existence. Its collaboration with Kevin Group was mutually beneficial.

Lonex leveraged Kevin’s reputation, while Kevin used Lonex to pave its way into the internet market.

Though disrupting this deal wouldn’t seriously harm Kevin Group, Ethan’s goal was simply to vent his frustrations on behalf of his mother and simultaneously irk Seraphina.
