Unexpected Marriage: She is the Sugar Mommy!
Chapter 132: Su Corporation
CHAPTER 132: CHAPTER 132: SU CORPORATION
Because of Camille, Seraphina Sinclair and Desmond Fairchild ended up resolving their previous conflicts by a twist of fate, and the two reconciled once again.
Let’s not mention how unpleasant Camille’s face looked when he realized it was because of him.
Following that, Seraphina Sinclair received a series of good news.
The first piece of good news is that the Lloyd Family’s situation is worsening by the day, especially after the previous issue with Lonex Company. To repay the bank loans and to redeem the company’s fixed assets, Ethan Lloyd had to bleed quite a bit.
But even so, the incident was spread far and wide, making the already precarious reputation and credibility of the Lloyd Group even more dangerous. It’s fair to say that any slight disturbance might be the last straw for the Lloyd Group.
The second thing is that Payne has returned after settling his family’s matters abroad.
"Payne, are you sure everything is settled with your family? After all, family is the most important thing in this world, and the company’s issues can wait." Seraphina Sinclair said earnestly, looking at Payne, who had just returned to the company from the airport.
Upon hearing this, Payne immediately adjusted his attitude: "President Sinclair, rest assured. My family matters have been resolved, all thanks to your permission to let me go back; otherwise, things wouldn’t have gone so smoothly."
Payne paused slightly at this point, a touch of fatherly tenderness involuntarily appearing on his face, and his tone softened: "My daughter was gravely ill abroad, and my wife was expecting, the household was in complete chaos. If you hadn’t allowed me to return, President Sinclair, my daughter might not have survived."
Seeing his demeanor, Seraphina Sinclair’s gaze became somewhat distant, as if through Payne, she was seeing her own father from long ago.
She used to be her father’s little princess as well; whenever she was unwell, he was always the most anxious one, even cooking her favorite dishes himself.
But now... she’s almost forgotten what her father’s cooking tasted like...
"President Sinclair? President Sinclair?" Seeing Seraphina’s distracted state, Payne called out worriedly.
"It’s fine, since you’re back, there’s no room for slacking. You can go home and rest for today, return to the company tomorrow, and I’ll arrange the work for this quarter for you," Seraphina quickly regained her composure, masking the loneliness in her eyes.
By the time she left the company, it was already ten o’clock at night. It was late October, and the temperature difference between day and night in Bayside City was quite significant. As Seraphina Sinclair just stepped out of the company door, she shivered, hit by the chill of the evening breeze.
"President Sinclair, still here so late?" The security guard greeted her while on patrol.
"Hmm, heading home now," Seraphina nodded politely.
"Seraphina, come over." Suddenly, a light shot straight over, accompanied by Desmond Fairchild’s voice.
Seraphina squinted and saw Desmond getting out of the car, walking towards her against the light. Although she couldn’t make out his expression, just seeing him made her inexplicably feel at ease.
"What brings you here?" Seraphina jogged over to his side, looking up at him and asking.
Desmond didn’t say anything, just took off the coat he had been holding and draped it over Seraphina’s shoulders, instantly cutting off the night’s chill.
"Taking you home." After securing the coat, Desmond took Seraphina’s hand and said.
A wave of emotion surged in Seraphina’s heart. She bowed her head obediently and let Desmond lead her to the car.
It was half an hour later when they got home. As soon as they entered, Desmond ushered Seraphina to take a hot shower. When she came out, there was already a steaming cup of ginger tea on the table.
Seraphina was somewhat amazed by this man’s attentiveness. Slipping into her slippers, she walked over to the table while drying her hair.
After drinking a few sips of the ginger tea, Seraphina realized something and asked, looking around, "Where’s Jude?"
"Austin took him to see Camille." When Desmond mentioned this, a flicker of unease flashed across his face.
Seraphina laughed softly and nodded knowingly, asking no more questions.
"Take a look at this document." Seeing Seraphina finish the ginger tea, Desmond finally picked up a blue document from the sofa and handed it over solemnly.
"What’s this?" Seraphina asked, puzzled, as she took the document, but she froze completely upon opening it.
"Transfer of Equity" were the five bold words prominently printed on the first page of the document.
The document was lengthy, but it summarized in one sentence—Party A, Desmond Fairchild, unconditionally transfers all shares owned in the Sinclair Group to Party B, Seraphina Sinclair.
"Are you joking?" Seraphina was left speechless after reading the document, drawing this conclusion.
"I mentioned before, I would return the Sinclair Group to you. It was only in the past few days that the paperwork was completed, no refusals allowed." Desmond’s one sentence blocked any retreat for Seraphina.
"Desmond, thank you." Seraphina’s throat tightened, and in the end, she could only say these two words.
Desmond pulled her hand, his dark eyes deeply fixed on Seraphina’s face, his voice magnetic with a touch of allure: "I mentioned before, this is the bride price, when do you plan to marry me?"
The man’s earnest allure was truly fatal.
Seraphina’s heart skipped a beat, and she stood on tiptoes to kiss the corner of his lips, unusually not evading the topic: "Wait a little longer for me..." Until I’ve resolved everything, until I can open my heart to love you.
The sweetness on her lips was briefly enchanting and soul-stirring. Desmond extended his hand, wrapped her in his arms, and deepened the kiss...
After reclaiming the Sinclair Group, Seraphina straightforwardly handed the Kevin Group to Payne to manage, pouring all her energy into managing the Sinclair Group.
After understanding the situation over a few days, Seraphina realized that Desmond was still attentive to the Sinclair Group. Although the projects Sinclair received now and its connections in the industry couldn’t compare to before, they were far from lacking.
An elder from the Sinclair Group saw Seraphina and immediately had tears in his eyes, speaking with a trembling voice: "I never dreamed that the Sinclair Group would return to you, our young miss, one day."
Seraphina knew this man; he was someone who had been at Mr. Sinclair’s side through business ups and downs. Even after the Sinclair Family incident, he hadn’t resigned but stayed at Sinclair Group.
"Uncle Jacobs, this is not a dream. The Sinclair Group, my father’s hard work, has truly been returned to me," Seraphina said softly.
This was just the beginning; she would retrieve what originally belonged to her and her father, and those who should be punished would receive their due consequence.
"Uncle Jacobs, you’ve been with the company for a long time, could you tell me exactly what happened back then?" Although Seraphina knew some of the past events, they weren’t very detailed. During that period, she had been imprisoned by Ethan Lloyd, then confined to a mental institution, and by the time she received the news, her father had already passed away.
"Of course." James Jacobs nodded and slowly began to recall those past events.
