Unexpected Marriage: She is the Sugar Mommy!
Chapter 137: Misplaced Kiss
CHAPTER 137: CHAPTER 137: MISPLACED KISS
After returning home, only Jude Sinclair was at home, lying barefoot on the sofa, not knowing what he was doing.
"How many times have I told you, it’s cold now, put on socks! What if you catch a cold?" Seraphina Sinclair opened the cabinet at the entrance, took out a pair of socks, and said to Jude with resignation.
"It’s not cold at home, and I won’t walk barefoot on the floor, I won’t catch a cold, Mommy, don’t worry." Jude raised his head and said to Seraphina.
However, upon seeing Seraphina’s outfit, he furrowed his brows disapprovingly and sat up: "Mommy, you’re telling me off? You’re dressed thinner than I am, wearing a skirt in such cold weather, you’re more likely to catch a cold than I am."
Seraphina didn’t expect to be lectured by Jude instead of scolding him, and she glared at Jude with a mixture of anger and amusement, shaking her head as she entered the room.
"Mommy, what are we eating tonight? I’m hungry." Once Seraphina changed into home clothes and came out, Jude walked up pleasingly and hugged Seraphina, asking.
"There’s beef and tomatoes bought a few days ago in the kitchen, how about making a tomato beef dish tonight?" Seraphina pinched Jude’s white, tender cheek.
"Okay, I’ll go wash the tomatoes for you, Mommy." Jude said, then happily ran into the kitchen.
Watching Jude’s small figure, the discomfort in Seraphina’s heart instantly vanished; what did men matter? Her beloved son was still the most caring.
That afternoon, around six o’clock, Seraphina packed up her things, preparing to leave the Sinclair company.
Recently, Seraphina had buried herself in documents from morning till night, always being the last person to leave. It was rare to see her leave so early, a secretary who usually had a good relationship with her joked: "President Sinclair, leaving work so early today? Rushing for a date?"
"Yes." Seraphina smiled broadly at her and then took the elevator downstairs.
"Sigh, really, people can’t help but envy others, we can’t compare with President Sinclair." The secretary said with a bit of envy.
Everyone knows Seraphina Sinclair and President Fairchild of Cloudsea Group are a couple. Look at them, the same age, she has the figure, the looks, the capability, and enviable love, truly a winner in life.
As for looking at oneself, nothing but jealousy every day.
Cloudsea Group.
The receptionist saw Seraphina Sinclair coming and quickly flashed a smile: "President Sinclair, the president is upstairs."
Ever since Seraphina Sinclair was stopped on a visit to Cloudsea Group last time, Desmond Fairchild had ordered that whenever Seraphina came, no matter the time, she should be let upstairs directly.
"Thank you." Seraphina stopped and gave the receptionist a slight smile.
"Oh my, Mina, did you see that? President Sinclair just smiled at me!! Oh my, what an angelic smile!!" The receptionist excitedly grabbed Mina’s hand, showing a lovestruck expression.
However, the Mina beside her showed a different manner, she hurriedly took out her phone and sent Anna a message. "Anna, President Sinclair is here to find President Fairchild."
Ever since Anna joined the company, she always thought Anna and their President Fairchild were more suited for each other, and had expressed this to Anna both openly and subtly, in her view, Anna was more elegant and capable, better than President Sinclair.
Anna’s face slightly cooled when she saw the message, she immediately picked up the file on the table and headed to Desmond Fairchild’s office.
"President Fairchild, this is the proposal for the redevelopment of Southgate Park." Anna placed the file on Desmond Fairchild’s desk.
Desmond, holding a cup of coffee, stood by the window. Upon hearing her, he turned to look at Anna. Anna seemed to remember something, revealing a slightly nostalgic expression.
"Desmond, do you remember how we used to love running to Southgate Park when we were kids? Every time after school we’d go there. I remember one time we played there, and it rained heavily when we came back, you carried me back." Anna cleverly changed her title.
Desmond also recalled, putting down the coffee cup with some resignation: "Wasn’t it because you didn’t want to walk in the mud at that time? I couldn’t just leave you there, right?"
When they were kids, Southgate Park was most popular with children because of a theme park, very entertaining. Desmond loved to go there frequently, always bringing Anna along.
"Thinking about it now, those were really happy times, no troubles or worries. Unfortunately, now that theme park has to be demolished due to outdated equipment, if it wasn’t for that, Southgate Park wouldn’t be rebuilt." Anna spoke while walking beside Desmond, gazing at the scenery outside the window.
"It’s a normal thing." Desmond said indifferently.
Anna pondered for a while, suddenly brightening up, and spoke excitedly: "The theme parks still draw considerable traffic. Redeveloping Southgate Park doesn’t necessarily mean demolishing the theme park. We can rebuild and develop new projects based on the old theme park, then promote a nostalgic idea. This way, we can attract new traffic while preserving old memories."
After speaking, Anna turned as if trying to see Desmond’s reaction, but suddenly chuckled: "You’re a grown man, how come you don’t know you have something stuck on your face? Lower your head, I’ll take it off for you."
Desmond didn’t understand, but he lowered his head, and Anna slightly stood on tiptoe, raising her hand to lightly brush his face. Desmond then raised his head and casually glanced at the doorway, showing a smile.
Seraphina stood at the door, looking at him expressionless, her hand at her side went pale.
"Seraphina, when did you come?" Desmond bypassed Anna and walked over.
Seraphina took a deep breath, she never expected to see such a scene when she came. Desmond Fairchild had just kissed Anna...
She didn’t know, the scene was just because of her viewing angle and Anna’s deliberate misguidance. Just now, Anna asked Desmond to lower his head, and she slightly stood on tiptoe, so from Seraphina’s angle, it seemed like Desmond lightly kissed Anna on the forehead.
"Desmond Fairchild, what were you doing just now?" Seraphina opened her mouth, clearly facing Desmond, but her gaze fell on Anna, her voice somewhat hoarse.
Desmond keenly noticed Seraphina’s unusual emotion from last night, slightly furrowing his brow, following her gaze to see Anna standing by the window, he instantly understood why she was like this now.
