CHAPTER 157: CHAPTER 157: INTERCEPTED MESSAGES

After the Spring Festival, major companies began to resume work. The industrial park development involving Seraphina Sinclair and Simon Finch officially kicked off. The news reminded everyone of the Sinclair Family’s existence, yet nobody really paid much attention to it.

"But it’s not good for you to be this tired, I’ll send him over to help you tomorrow," Desmond insisted without leaving room for argument.

Seeing him like this, Seraphina didn’t press further. After all, Ace was reliable, and with his assistance, she’d be much more at ease.

Desmond saw her mumbling with eyes closed and felt his expression soften, lowering his head to plant a kiss on her lips, "Me too."

With Ace’s help, Seraphina indeed felt much lighter. In the afternoon, she even started teasing Jude Sinclair when he came back from kindergarten, noticing his stern face, "Jude Sinclair, what’s the matter with you?"

"It’s nothing, kindergarten is just boring," Jude replied, trying to muster some energy, as he’d recently resumed training at the base.

However, having not practiced for quite some time, he’d become a bit rusty, and the sudden intense training was draining him.

But he promised his dad not to tell his mom about the training base.

"I see, so should mommy move you up to primary school?" Seraphina considered for a moment before suggesting.

"Sure," Jude agreed. For him now, both kindergarten and primary school were the same since they were both at his dad’s base.

"Alright, but this matter also needs your dad’s consent," Seraphina, after talking for a while, still mentioned.

But Jude just smiled with a slightly mischievous look, "Hehe, as long as mommy agrees, daddy will definitely not disagree."

Seraphina looked at Jude like that, feeling both amused and helpless. In the evening, when Desmond returned, she mentioned it to him anyway.

As expected, just as Jude had said, Desmond agreed without a second thought. After receiving confirmation, Jude glanced at Seraphina with a "see, I was right" look, making Seraphina playfully ruffle his hair.

Desmond called Jude aside alone. Once he ensured that Seraphina didn’t know Jude was currently training at the base, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Since the events during the Spring Festival, Anna kept replaying the scene of Desmond shielding her from alcohol in her mind.

After all that had happened, Anna never saw Desmond at the company, so she thought of messaging him to meet.

She sent several messages to Desmond wanting to chat, but never got a response.

After the previous incident, Jude installed a small program on Desmond’s phone, intercepting all messages Anna sent to him.

"And you still want to meet my dad, making my mom angry?" Jude muttered angrily while looking at the intercepted messages.

But after so many messages, it was apparent she was determined to meet dad, this can’t go on, he had to think of a way, otherwise what if dad is once again charmed by this terrible woman, inciting a quarrel with mom.

After pondering for a moment, Jude decided to discuss it with Rosalie Quinn.

"She still dares to message Desmond? Isn’t the previous lesson enough for her?" Rosalie exclaimed angrily after hearing Jude’s recount.

"Godmother, simply intercepting her messages won’t solve the problem, what if she goes directly to confront dad?" Jude said with a troubled face.

Rosalie huffed coldly, "Your dad’s own debts need to be resolved by himself. Tell your dad about this situation and let him handle it. Don’t let it bother your mom."

When Desmond returned in the evening, Jude quietly pulled him into his room.

After confirming Seraphina wasn’t around, he leaned close to Desmond’s ear, "Dad, I have something extremely important to tell you."

"What is it?" Desmond asked.

Jude ran to the computer, turned it on, fiddled for a bit, and then called Desmond over, "Take a look yourself."

Desmond walked over somewhat puzzled, and as soon as he finished reading the content on the computer, his face went cold instantly.

"Dad, you have to handle this by yourself, don’t let her disturb mom anymore. You’ve promised me and mom before," Jude looked sternly at Desmond said.

Desmond was just about to say something when the computer suddenly beeped twice, indicating intercepted messages.

Anna messaged Desmond again, requesting to meet him at Azure Gardens.

Desmond stared at this message for a long time, then spoke, "Jude, reply agreeing to meet her and then remove this program from my phone."

Seeing Desmond slightly displeased with him, Jude responded, "Dad, you have to promise this issue won’t bother mom."

After getting Desmond’s assurance, he removed the program from Desmond’s phone.
