Unexpected Marriage: She is the Sugar Mommy!
Chapter 234: I Never Want to See You Again
CHAPTER 234: CHAPTER 234: I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN
"This..." If it were before, Jude Sinclair would certainly go straight to Desmond Fairchild to make trouble.
But after spending so much time together, Jude knows what kind of person Desmond is, so he doesn’t quite believe Desmond would cheat, subconsciously thinking it might be a misunderstanding?
Especially after what happened with Anna before, Jude increasingly feels that it must have been that Seraphina Sinclair accidentally stumbled upon something, but did not give Desmond a chance to explain.
In fact, that’s exactly how it is.
But it’s not that Desmond wasn’t given a chance to explain; this matter was originally orchestrated by Desmond himself.
Seraphina feels a block in her heart, completely unwilling to delve into those details, only feeling disgusted with the betrayer.
"I originally thought of taking you away, but we paid for this house; if anyone’s leaving, it’s him." Seraphina thought about this: why should she and her son leave? The house was purchased with her money, so it’s Desmond who should leave.
She immediately climbed out of bed and asked Jude, "Where is he?"
Jude blinked and pointed towards the kitchen, "In the kitchen making breakfast for you."
"He really knows how to pretend." Seraphina sneered coldly.
At this point, what’s the point of pretending to be a good husband? He’s already gotten to such an intimate extent with another woman; how does he have the nerve to still show up here?
Seraphina flung open the bedroom door and stormed into the kitchen, launching into a tirade at Desmond, who was making dinner: "Well, if it isn’t President Fairchild? Our kitchen may not be big enough to fit your divine presence, so could you kindly disappear from my sight and stop disgusting me? You’re already with another woman, still pretending to be the perfect husband here. Don’t you find it laughable?"
"It’s almost ready; you should go to the dining room," Desmond did not respond to Seraphina’s scolding, focusing earnestly on preparing bird’s nest porridge.
"Who cares for your dinner? Didn’t you hear what I said? This is my house, you’re not welcome, please leave!" Seraphina pointed to the front door, shouting angrily at Desmond, "And take your servant with you; disappear from my house. I don’t want to see you again in this lifetime. Do you understand?"
The maids cleaning nearby felt a chill run through for Seraphina at her words.
They had served the Fairchild Family for years, never seeing anyone dare speak to Desmond like this. The previous person who overstepped might already have grass growing higher than a person on their grave. Even if Seraphina was favored, this kind of talk would surely displease Desmond.
However, they were overthinking it; Desmond not only did not get angry but coaxed gently, "Be good, you drank too much last night, first drink the hangover soup, otherwise your head will ache again."
"Who are you to me? My affairs are none of your concern." Seraphina frowned, unable to understand what tricks Desmond was playing.
"I am your husband." Desmond paused his movements, deeply gazing into Seraphina’s eyes, his voice bearing undeniable certainty.
Seraphina almost laughed with anger, "Do you know what you’re saying? Desmond, who gave you such gall to claim to be my husband after infidelity? You think that because you’re President Fairchild of Cloudsea Group, I have to bow to you? You think after having your fun outside, you can come back and treat me like a pushover?"
It’s indeed laughable. She couldn’t understand how Desmond could say such things.
Clearly, he was the one who did wrong; how could he act so indifferent, still claiming to be her husband?
The speaker may be oblivious, but the listener is affected.
Desmond furrowed his brows slightly but did not retort.
The events of yesterday were because he acted recklessly, realizing now that Seraphina was angry would mean she wouldn’t listen to any explanations at this point. The more he spoke, the more mistakes he’d make, so he chose to remain silent.
Yet his silence seemed confirmation to Seraphina. Seeing him not refute or explain, any last bit of hope she held was crushed. A bitter smile extended from her mouth, now her tone grew even colder.
"Desmond, leave. From now on, if we meet, let’s pretend we never knew each other; if we meet again, it’ll only be business. There’s no personal connection left to speak of."
After being in love, she doesn’t want to haggle over things; parting amicably is best, hoping he can take care of himself.
The maids listening to Seraphina’s words, watching Desmond’s reaction, were utterly shocked.
Someone spoke up for Desmond, "Madam, are you mistaken? Master Fairchild couldn’t be that kind of person."
"Yes, Master Fairchild would never do such a thing; you must be mistaken."
No one believed Desmond would cheat. If he were truly that kind of wishy-washy man, he wouldn’t have been single for almost thirty years.
"I saw it with my own eyes, how could I be wrong?" Seraphina’s eyes were filled with anger, "I gave your Master Fairchild a chance, did he explain?"
"Master Fairchild, please calm Madam down; surely there’s some misunderstanding, explain it please." Everyone was anxious, believing Desmond must have had his reasons; otherwise, he’d never wrong Seraphina.
Previously, when Seraphina was in a coma, Desmond almost lost his life for her; such feelings couldn’t just lead to an affair.
In fact, if Seraphina were to calm down and think about it, she would figure it out. But when in love, women’s IQ drop, especially having seen Desmond hugging someone else; it’s impossible for her to deceive herself no matter how cool-headed she gets.
Just because she hasn’t thought of it doesn’t mean others haven’t.
Not just Jude, even the maids were speaking on behalf of Desmond, which showed the impression Desmond typically gave everyone was not that of a playboy.
"Eat." Desmond still did not say anything else, simply laying the meal on the table, inviting Seraphina to come eat.
Seraphina had no mood for meals; seeing Desmond reminded her of those scenes, making her nauseous.
Seeing her retching repeatedly, Desmond also felt something was wrong, promptly pursuing her.
Seraphina was leaning over the toilet, throat filled with bitterness, retching intensely but not throwing anything up, her mouth remaining bitter.
Desmond, heart aching, handed her a cup of hot water, "Should we get Camille White over to take a look?"
"My matters are none of your concern." Seraphina coldly pushed away his offer, showing no kindness.
"Don’t be stubborn." Desmond placed the cup aside, directly picked her up and tossed her onto the big bed, "Either drink the hangover soup or I’ll immediately call Camille White to come over."
Being familiar with Camille’s personality, knowing he’d fret over even a minor issue.
Not wanting Camille to worry, Seraphina gritted her teeth, snatching the hangover soup from Desmond’s grasp, downing it in one gulp, her small face devoid of expression as she looked at him, "Satisfied?"
"Seraphina, I..."
"Get out! I don’t want to see you." Seraphina glared hatefully at Desmond, tears uncontrollably streaming down again, "There’s nothing left to say between us; go away, I never want to see you again."
