CHAPTER 248: CHAPTER 248: FIONA DUNN, QUEEN OF TRASH TALK

"What nonsense are you talking!" Luna’s face turned red.

"Wow? Luna is really amazing." Jude pretended to be surprised and widened his eyes, "I thought Luna was so smart, surely she had already skipped grades and graduated from Harvard, but it turns out she’s still in middle school."

Seraphina smiled gently, "Yes, your sister Luna is amazing, but our Jude shouldn’t learn from her."

In front of so many people, Luna was mocked about her education credentials, and she was instantly furious, her face turning livid: "Seraphina Sinclair, what are you? You’re just a slut who had a child out of wedlock, how dare you comment on my affairs."

"You should ask yourself that. What qualifications do you, who can’t even graduate from middle school, have to comment on my life?" Seraphina didn’t want to argue with a child, but that was only if she was willing to act like a real child.

"Grandpa!" Luna couldn’t win over Seraphina in argument, so she could only call for help.

But when she turned to Old Master White, she saw his face was terribly gloomy.

Luna’s father, Raymond, wanted to say a few words, but his throat was blocked by Old Master White’s fierce gaze.

The atmosphere at the scene became awkward for a while, and even Camille and Joel looked at Luna with warning eyes.

Just then, Nina Kerr stepped forward, smiling brightly to smooth things over: "Today is a family dinner, since Seraphina Sinclair joined our big family a few years ago, she’s already one of us. Luna, you should speak less."

"But..."

Luna was not satisfied and still wanted to speak, but Nina stopped her: "Seraphina is your elder, formally speaking, you should call her Aunt, really you have no manners."

"Auntie! But she was too much." Luna stomped her foot in fury, a grievance pent up in her heart with nowhere to go.

Fiona Dunn, who had been sitting for a long time, originally didn’t want to join in the fray. Since Seraphina had already told her she didn’t want to collaborate at lunchtime, she decided to sit back and watch the drama unfold.

Besides, since it was at the White’s family dinner, she also wanted to leave a good impression on The White Family and Joel White.

But Luna, who clearly started the trouble herself, was now claiming Seraphina was excessive. People like this were what Fiona despised the most.

She opened her mouth slightly, snickering softly, "You pick a fight yourself, can’t win, and then say the other is excessive? Where did you learn to distort the truth like this?"

"Fiona Dunn, what does this have to do with you?" Luna glared harshly at Fiona.

Although Fiona spoke softly, in the unexpected quietness, her voice clearly reached everyone’s ears, naturally including Luna’s.

Others feared Luna and indulged her, but Fiona Dunn did not tolerate her bad habits.

Since Luna wanted to rebuke, Fiona wasn’t going to hold back either, her mouth firing off like a laser gun with rapid repartee: "Luna, oh Luna, aren’t you ashamed? How many words has Seraphina said since she sat down? Isn’t it you and your brother picking on her for no reason all day? As soon as you sat down, you complained she was late?

"I think there’s something wrong with your brain, huh? If you want to provoke someone, come up with a better excuse. Do you think she wants to engage with you? You insist on getting insulted? When she ignores you, you chase after her like a dog. Getting bitten back, and now blaming her for biting too hard? Why are you such a hypocrite?"

Hearing ’dog biting dog,’ Seraphina broke into a cold sweat; though she was happy to have someone speak for her, the description was a bit inappropriate.

Fiona Dunn has no filter, her likes and dislikes are clearly shown on her face, and she admits her actions without reversing black and white like Luna.

Therefore, she despises Nina Kerr and people like that, pretending to be perfect while harboring malicious intentions.

Luna was rendered speechless from the scolding, unable to utter a word though her fingers shook pointing at Fiona for a long time.

Fiona Dunn chuckled coldly, "What are you pointing at? Weren’t you so high and mighty just now? Can’t speak up now? Now you know what it’s like to be scolded with a finger pointed at you? Why do you go looking for attention, parading your low IQ here? I feel embarrassed for you."

It’s undeniable that Fiona Dunn has a knack for scolding, without a single curse word, yet she got Luna to tear up directly.

Such astonishing combat prowess was something Seraphina hadn’t noticed before.

Thinking about it now, Fiona Dunn was already being very courteous to her. If there was an actual argument, she might not be able to outmatch this feisty girl.

Fiona Dunn is indeed the gem of the Dunn Family; though Luna was scolded to tears, others just gave weak admonitions, with no one daring to blame her.

During the meal, Luna and Reina, the siblings, kept their heads down, eating quietly without speaking after being lectured.

As for Nina Kerr, she’s always been a model girl in front of others, following the principle of ’don’t talk while eating, don’t speak while sleeping.’

Whereas Fiona Dunn’s gaze remained fierce upon the White siblings, as if daring them to utter one word against her, she would have them scolded thoroughly.

Throughout the meal, everyone held different thoughts.

After dinner, Seraphina asked Jude to accompany Old Master White while she went to help Aunt Winters in the kitchen.

Aunt Winters is the cook at the old White residence, and has cooked for Old Master White for half a lifetime; she’s a very kind elderly lady.

She genuinely likes Seraphina, so whenever Seraphina visits, she couldn’t be happier.

"Miss Seraphina, just leave these to me; don’t dirty your clothes," Aunt Winters stopped Seraphina as she was about to wash dirty dishes.

Seraphina replied with amusement, "I’m wearing an apron, I won’t get dirty."

"You finally come back; just sitting and resting is enough. Why come to the kitchen to help me?" Though Aunt Winters said it wasn’t necessary, yet her eyes beamed with deep joy.

In her eyes, Seraphina is unpretentious and kind-hearted.

She has worked at the old White residence for decades, and has seen the young masters and misses grow up. Although everyone treats her quite well, none have willingly helped her out. Since Seraphina’s arrival, after every meal, she would always offer to help clean.

Before meals, Seraphina has helped out as well, though not adept at cooking, and clumsy when assisting, she generally took up roles like dishwashing and cleaning chopsticks.

Thus Aunt Winters holds Seraphina in high regard and has liked this kind-hearted girl since her first day.

While they were talking, unexpectedly Nina Kerr entered, smiling gently, "Aunt Winters, I’m here to help too."

Aunt Winters was flattered, "Miss, why are you here too? Careful not to soil your skirt."

"It’s okay, I’m here to chat with Seraphina." Nina sidestepped, clearing a path for Aunt Winters, "Aunt Winters, you go rest; leave this to Seraphina and me."

Aunt Winters hesitated, looking at Seraphina; seeing her nod slightly, she then felt reassured, "Alright, then I’ll trouble you two young ladies."
