Unexpected Marriage: She is the Sugar Mommy!
Chapter 25: Jude Sinclair’s Endless Worries
CHAPTER 25: CHAPTER 25: JUDE SINCLAIR’S ENDLESS WORRIES
The next day, in the scorching summer, the midday sun was blazing hot. In the comfort of the air-conditioned room, Seraphina Sinclair turned over, lifting her heavy eyelids.
She didn’t know how long she had slept, only that she seemed awake now but was still so tired.
She slowly sat up and let out a giant yawn, yet had no intention of getting out of bed to freshen up.
After sitting for quite a while, she finally became somewhat clear-headed, and once fully awake, she felt her head was splitting.
"How much did I drink last night, why does my head hurt so much?" Seraphina rubbed her swollen temples and found that she wasn’t only suffering from a headache; her neck hurt, her waist hurt too.
To put it bluntly, her whole body felt sore, like she’d been stepped on by a cow.
"Mom, did you sleep well last night?" Jude Sinclair suddenly popped up from nowhere, giving Seraphina quite a fright.
She patted her chest, her surprise not yet settled, and frowned: "Where did you come from, kid? Did you want to scare your mom to death?"
Jude grinned, showing a mischievous smile that was unusual for his age, with a rare look of curiosity in his big eyes: "How did you sleep last night?"
Seraphina didn’t understand why Jude was so fixated on this question, so she casually answered while rubbing her neck: "It was alright, just that I’m sore all over; what’s up?"
"Oh?" Jude dragged the last syllable, mimicking a look of discovering a new continent.
This kid always kept his emotions hidden, clearly only four years old, yet always had the demeanor of a little grown-up. This child-like, innocent curiosity today, to be honest, Seraphina hadn’t seen much.
So she, as the mother, couldn’t help but become interested. Reaching out with her long arm, she grabbed Jude, her starry eyes slightly twinkling, revealing a classic devilish smile: "Little Jude, is there something you’re hiding from me?"
Jude calmly shook his head: "Not at all, just curious about what happened between you and Dad last night. No wonder you left me alone at home, turns out you snuck out for a date."
Jude sighed, but his eyes curved beautifully.
"What could happen between me and your Dad, are you trying to say..."
Before she finished speaking, the memories from last night washed over Seraphina like a tidal wave, the scenes replaying like a carousel in her mind.
Recalling the events of last night, the words she hadn’t finished were stuck in her throat, impossible to speak.
Thinking of that scoundrel Desmond using her money to indulge himself outside, not even staying home to accompany his son, did he take the agreement lightly?
Desmond Fairchild initially didn’t want to interrupt the mother-son conversation, but standing at the door for ages without being acknowledged, he had to make his presence known.
"If you’re awake, get up and eat."
Jude turned and saw the tray in Desmond’s hand, laughing again: "Mom, Dad got up early to make you hangover soup and prepared some millet porridge for your stomach. You two really have a great relationship."
"Jude!" Seraphina’s face turned increasingly red, she annoyedly pinched Jude’s cheek, huffed twice, "You’ve got some nerve, haven’t you, daring to joke with Mom?"
Jude giggled, stuck out his tongue, and ran out, saying as he ran: "Mom, godmother says she wants to video chat with me, I’m leaving first, let Dad take care of you."
This cheeky brat! What’s gotten into him today?
Usually, you don’t see him this lively, has he changed?
But ever since Desmond came, Jude’s temperament has indeed brightened up.
Poor Jude, at such a young age, burdened with the duty of matchmaking his parents, yet this oblivious mother completely misses the essence, wasting his morning antics.
