CHAPTER 251: CHAPTER 251: NIGHTSCAPE

The Tower of Embracing the Moon.

As the name implies, it’s a tall tower where you can embrace the moon.

The highest floor of the tower is a broad lawn, and downstairs is an elegantly atmospheric café.

Standing at the top of the tower, you can overlook the entire scenic view of Diamond Island.

Especially at night, looking down from such a height, the night view is simply stunning.

Seraphina Sinclair stood in the cold wind, unable to help but exclaim, "Such a perfect view, any girl would love it."

"Are you sure?" Keith Hughes looked at her with doubt in his eyes, "Do you like it?"

Seraphina smiled ambiguously.

Women all love beautiful things. Such a beautiful view, no one can resist it.

"As long as you like it." Keith said, taking off his coat and draping it over Seraphina’s shoulders, looking at her a bit reproachfully, "Knowing that the temperature difference between day and night on Diamond Island is big, why do you dress so lightly? If you catch a cold, wouldn’t it be blamed on me."

Seraphina chuckled, "Do you really think I’m such a petty person? Besides, my body isn’t that delicate."

As she said this, she intended to refuse Keith’s coat, but Keith pressed the coat onto her shoulders, feigning anger as he glared at her, "It’s so cold at night, how could a gentleman let a lady get cold? Just wear it."

Seeing that Keith indeed had no ulterior motives, Seraphina did not refuse anymore.

Leaning on the railing, overlooking the entire Diamond Island, she couldn’t help feeling a little wistful, "This is my first time coming to the Tower of Embracing the Moon. Senior, you are new here, yet you seem to know the island so well."

"Of course, I’m always a materialist. Eating well, living well, and having fun are my three life principles." Keith proudly raised his chin, his beautiful phoenix eyes sparkling with brilliance.

"Not a bad attitude towards life." Seraphina clapped her hands, showing her appreciation for Keith’s approach to life.

"Life is short, so naturally, it’s most important to be happy." Keith turned his head to look at Seraphina, his slightly narrowed eyes fleeting with a touch of affection.

The slight upward curve of Seraphina’s lips showed her good mood at the moment, and she agreed with Keith’s words.

But life is not just about that.

Joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness are all part of life; no one is always happy, and no one is always sad. A life of mixed emotions might be richer.

She didn’t contradict Keith, smiling slightly without saying anything in response.

The two of them, shoulder to shoulder, appreciated the night view of Diamond Island, completely unaware of the tall and handsome figure behind them.

However, being perceptive, Seraphina always felt as if there was a burning gaze on her. But when she turned around, she found nothing behind her.

Noticing Seraphina’s face seemed a bit off, Keith asked worriedly, "What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

Seraphina shook her head, giving Keith an apologetic smile, "Senior, I’m a bit tired, I’ll head back first today. I’ll write my impressions well."

"I’ll take you." Keith volunteered.

"Alright." Seeing the sincerity in his eyes, Seraphina couldn’t bring herself to refuse.

She wasn’t someone good at refusing, especially when faced with Keith’s puppy-like innocent eyes; she couldn’t say anything heartless.

She felt that if she spoke out and saw Keith’s pitiable look, it would seem as if she had made a huge mistake.

After returning home, Seraphina deeply recalled this feeling.

This must be what they call a motherly overflow.

Facing Keith, she always had the illusion of taking care of a child. Even though he was older than her, those clear eyes and adorable expressions made it hard to believe he was almost thirty.

When she told Rosalie Quinn about it, she faced Rosalie’s merciless ridicule.

"Seraphina, is there something wrong with your head? How can a grown man be like you said?" Rosalie bluntly burst Seraphina’s bubble, "Maybe you just think he’s too good-looking and imagined it yourself?"

After all, she’s seen Keith before too. He contacted her first after returning to the country to inquire about Seraphina, and they’ve met several times privately, completely not like how Seraphina described.

So Rosalie instinctively thought that Seraphina was seeing through rose-colored lenses, driven mad by the desire to have children.

Seraphina felt a bit defeated and couldn’t help but retort, "Damn Rosalie, whose side are you on? Are we still besties? Can you live without undermining me?"

"I’m just telling the truth, don’t I know what kind of person Keith is? When I previously met him, he was all gentlemanly; those supposed clear eyes, I didn’t see any." Rosalie bit into an apple, recalling the scene and slowly spoke after a while, "Not clear, but if you said he’s deep and scheming, I’d say that suits him more."

Recalling those few meetings, Keith was always smiling, seemingly very easygoing, but those eyes held too many complexities that Rosalie couldn’t see through.

Speaking of this, Rosalie suddenly realized, "I get it, Keith must be in love with you, and that’s why he shows that side of himself to you."

If that’s the case, it makes sense. After all, whether man or woman, they always want to show their best side to someone they like, which is understandable.

"You’ve guessed it wrong. I already asked, he said he pursued me back then simply because he thought I was beautiful, with no other thoughts. Now he has someone he likes, don’t say he likes me again."

Seraphina didn’t believe Keith liked her because she could see the eyes of someone who likes someone, and she never found that admiration in Keith’s eyes.

Rosalie opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but eventually changed the topic, "Alright, as long as you’re sure. Speaking of which, while you were away, that Shirley Lynch has been messing around again, have you watched the news?"

Her dear bestie, even though she’s already a mom, is always so slow when it comes to feelings. But she doesn’t intend to tell Seraphina about Keith’s feelings right now. Since Seraphina is going through a breakup, she’s probably not in the mood for another relationship. Keith is smart and knows to take it step-by-step.

Anyway, since it’s no longer possible with Desmond Fairchild, Rosalie strongly supports Keith and Seraphina getting together, as Keith is no worse than Desmond.

The happiness of her best friend is her greatest wish.

As for when Seraphina will realize Keith’s feelings for her, it will be up to her.

Speaking of Shirley Lynch, Seraphina couldn’t help frowning, "What does her business have to do with me."

"Have you forgotten she has a grudge against you?"
