Unexpected Marriage: She is the Sugar Mommy!
Chapter 252: Nina Kerr Brings a Man Home
CHAPTER 252: CHAPTER 252: NINA KERR BRINGS A MAN HOME
"Oh?" Seraphina Sinclair seemed a bit intrigued, a smile playing at the corner of her lips. "In that case, let’s just leave it to her."
Rosalie Quinn was stunned: "Isn’t that the project you spent so long negotiating? You’re just going to give it up like that?"
"Kevin doesn’t lack that much." Seraphina grinned nonchalantly, "But what Kevin can’t get, Shirley Lynch might not handle well either. One slip and she’s ruined."
"What do you mean?" Rosalie was puzzled.
"It’s getting late, get some rest." Seraphina hung up the phone after speaking.
Opening her phone to the news, she indeed saw a video of Shirley Lynch signing with Olais.
Olais was an international big brand. Previously, she thought that if she could secure the agency rights for the Asian Region, it could boost Kevin’s reputation in the international market.
The cooperation was almost finalized when the other party suddenly said they needed to reconsider. Just when she was dealing with a breakup, she didn’t delve into the matter. Now she realized it was Shirley who meddled, not only snatching the agency rights but also becoming the spokesperson for Olais in Asia.
It seemed Carter Grant spent a fortune to promote her; otherwise, with Shirley Lynch’s wit, how could she establish herself in the entertainment industry?
"Irene..."
Seraphina called Irene Rowe, and the two chatted for a few minutes before Irene said seriously, "Alright, I’ll handle it now."
Although she hadn’t dealt with Shirley Lynch before, it didn’t mean she forgot about Shirley kidnapping her. Later, it was revealed that Shirley had participated in exposing her mental illness.
These things, one by one, Seraphina kept in mind.
Ethan Lloyd and Melanie Lloyd went missing, which was fortunate for them. Since Shirley Lynch was so active, let her stay that way.
A month passed in the blink of an eye since returning to Diamond Island.
That morning, Seraphina and Jude Sinclair were having breakfast in the dining room when Fiona Dunn’s chattering could be heard from afar.
Seraphina furrowed her brows, knowing something major was about to happen and instinctively wanted to slip away.
But before the mother and son could leave the dining room, Fiona blocked the door, angrily pointing at Seraphina’s nose, "How can you be so pathetic? Are you even a man?"
"I was never a man to begin with." Seraphina swatted Fiona’s hand away, saying matter-of-factly.
"Do you know who Nina Kerr’s boyfriend is!?" Fiona suddenly asked.
Seraphina led Jude back to the table, calmly continuing her breakfast, "What does her boyfriend have to do with me?"
Fiona was furious, pulling out her phone to show photos to Seraphina: "Look at this, doesn’t this man resemble the one who kissed you at the birthday party? Even though he wore a mask in the video, his mouth and nose are exactly the same! And the ring he’s wearing is the same one from that day!"
You have to admit, though Fiona was usually loud, she was rather observant.
Looking at the photo on her phone, Seraphina’s pupils contracted, her heart seeming to stop beating.
In the photo, Nina was holding Desmond Fairchild’s arm sweetly, and Desmond looked at her with deep affection.
The two looked like the perfect couple, a match made in heaven.
Jude snatched Fiona’s phone, glaring at the man in the picture with rage on his face, "I’m going to kill him!"
"Judging by your expression, I must be right, Nina really is a homewrecker." Fiona tugged on Seraphina’s arm, urging her outside, "What are you doing just sitting there, aren’t you going to get your man back?"
Seraphina remained unmoved, a hint of pain flashing in her downcast eyes.
When she looked up again, a smile spread across her eyes: "It’s just a man, do you think I’ll care?"
"Really don’t care?" Fiona, seeing her calm demeanor, was a bit skeptical.
"I have things to do, I’ll be going now." Seraphina elegantly wiped the corner of her mouth and walked out with Jude’s hand in hers.
Fiona quickly followed, still chattering, "Do you know where they are? They’re heading to the great-grandfather’s house right now, if we hurry, we’ll catch them in time."
"Mommy, where are we going?" Jude’s face was sullen, clearly upset.
Seraphina’s face was cold and expressionless, she said lightly, "Even if it’s just a man, since he’s a man Seraphina Sinclair doesn’t want, I should at least meet him."
"Mommy." Jude was heartbroken.
The bond between mother and son allowed him to feel Seraphina’s emotions. Even without apparent expressions, he could feel how much she hurt.
When their father left, he didn’t even say goodbye; now, meeting him as someone else’s boyfriend, who could accept such an outcome?
Fiona, not understanding the complexities, just thought it looked like Seraphina was going to catch someone in the act, so she hurriedly followed the mother and son, not wanting to miss out on the drama.
After all, as the saying goes, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
"Wait for me, wait for me!" Fiona was about to get into Seraphina’s car, but before she pulled the door, Seraphina hit the gas, speeding away like an arrow fired from a bow.
Fiona stomped her foot in frustration, but eager to catch the show, she immediately instructed her driver to head straight for the White Family’s old mansion.
Perhaps it was good timing, as Seraphina arrived just when Nina and Desmond were getting out of the car.
The couple hadn’t seen each other for days, and neither expected to meet again in such a circumstance.
As in the photo, Nina sweetly linked arms with Desmond, and when she saw Seraphina, she couldn’t help but smile happily: "Seraphina, I was just about to invite you over for dinner to introduce you to my boyfriend, what a coincidence."
"Not a coincidence, knowing you have a boyfriend, I came specifically to check him out for you." Seraphina looked at Nina with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes, her gaze icy when it landed on Desmond.
"Is that so? Thank you, sister." Said Nina, pulling Desmond’s hand again, bashfully introducing him to Seraphina, "This is my boyfriend, his name is Desmond Fairchild."
Seraphina’s red lips curled into a smirk, a hint of contempt in her eyes: "So it’s the famous President Fairchild. Nice to meet you."
"You know each other?" Nina blinked inquisitively at Desmond, curiously looking back and forth between them.
"Hmm." Desmond responded nonchalantly, as if he and Seraphina didn’t know each other well.
Nina gently grasped Desmond’s hand, playfully chiding, "Desmond, since you know my sister, at least say hi."
"Okay." Desmond gave Seraphina a half-hearted greeting and turned to Nina, his phoenix-like eyes almost melting.
Seraphina inwardly smiled bitterly, knowing those eyes once looked at her the same way.
