Unexpected Marriage: She is the Sugar Mommy!
Chapter 30: Is Three Million Worth It?
CHAPTER 30: CHAPTER 30: IS THREE MILLION WORTH IT?
What a coincidence?
Desmond Fairchild sat next to Seraphina Sinclair, resting his handsome face on one hand as he watched her look satisfied. A smile unconsciously appeared at the corner of his mouth as he gently prompted, "Is this three million well spent?"
He thought he would hear the answer he wanted, but unexpectedly, Seraphina negated it without a second thought: "Not worth it!"
"Why not?"
"With one million for takeout, I could buy a place and have it deliver to me every day!"
Desmond’s expression darkened, and he stopped talking, shifting his gaze from Seraphina’s face to the bowl of noodle soup.
Truly a man of unpredictable moods, Seraphina noted the way he was staring intently at her noodles. Perceptively, she pushed the bowl and chopsticks toward Desmond, "Sorry, I was so hungry I almost forgot this is your late-night snack. I can’t finish this bowl, you should have some too."
The moment she pushed it over, she noticed the bowl covered in her saliva, her cheeks instantly flushed red, and she reached out to pull the bowl back.
Unexpectedly, before she could touch the bowl, Desmond casually picked up the chopsticks and elegantly lifted the noodles into his mouth.
Even though it was just a simple noodle soup, he managed to make it seem like a gourmet dish, and his innate grace made Seraphina glance at him several times.
But she had eaten those noodles, how could Desmond eat them without batting an eye?
"Mmm, the taste is not bad." After taking a couple of bites, Desmond nonchalantly pushed the bowl back in front of Seraphina.
His reaction wasn’t particularly notable, and Seraphina felt embarrassed to say anything, so she continued eating the noodles.
She was truly hungry.
So she didn’t think too deeply about it, never even considering that Desmond had specially made those noodles for her.
The two sat closely at the dining table, tender as a painting, the perfect picture of a good-looking couple.
The next morning, Seraphina Sinclair appeared haggard, having only slept for four hours, as she stood in front of Desmond and their son.
Jude Sinclair gaped in surprise, "Mommy, did you go out stealing last night?"
"Give me ten minutes," Seraphina frowned at the sight of her lifeless face in the mirror.
Hastily taking out her cosmetics, she worked on her face, and within ten minutes, she had completed a simple, fresh look.
Her skin was great, and just a little powder covered her dark circles from staying up all night, making her appear much more energized.
The family of three set off immediately, headed for the city’s largest tourist destination, Happy Valley.
Happy Valley, Bayside City’s most famous resort area.
It offers various entertainment facilities and picturesque scenery, attracting many international visitors who come just to see Happy Valley.
Though Seraphina had lived in Bayside City for so many years, it was her first time in such a place. Standing at the entrance of Happy Valley, she found it somewhat surreal.
As she pondered, her palm touched warmth, and upon looking down, she saw her little hand wrapped tightly in Desmond’s large hand.
A feeling she couldn’t quite describe spread in Seraphina’s chest. She realized she didn’t mind Desmond’s touch—in fact, holding hands felt natural.
The next moment, his deep voice came from above her head, "There are a lot of people, let’s not get separated."
Upon hearing this, Seraphina held Jude’s hand tighter and carefully instructed, "Son, no matter where you go, don’t let go of Mommy’s hand, understand?"
"Mommy, you should be more worried about yourself," Jude turned his head away, not at all giving face, his eyes filled with helplessness.
