CHAPTER 34: CHAPTER 34: DISGRACED AND HUMILIATED

Old Master Lynch Peter Lynch received news that Shirley Lynch had secretly run off with a date, saying Shirley had argued with Desmond Fairchild, so he rushed over in a hurry. But as soon as he entered, he heard Desmond’s words, which scared him so much that his legs went weak, and without asking anything, he immediately stormed over and slapped Shirley.

"Dad!" Shirley was seeing stars from the slap. Once she saw clearly who it was, tears rolled down her face.

"Disgraceful!" Peter Lynch glanced around, then turned to Desmond Fairchild, full of apology.

Desmond Fairchild’s face was grim: "I’m not the one you should apologize to."

Peter Lynch, being a shrewd businessman, quickly looked towards Jude Sinclair, squatted down: "Sorry, young man, this aunt was out of line. Don’t be upset; grandpa will buy you the best toys to apologize."

"No need, just don’t make my mommy upset," Jude Sinclair replied firmly.

This family really only cares about keeping others happy. Old Master Lynch was both tearful and amused, and he stood up again to face Seraphina Sinclair: "Miss Sinclair, I apologize. My spoiled little girl was ignorant and offended you. I hope you’ll be magnanimous."

Seraphina Sinclair pressed her lips together but didn’t speak.

Old Master Lynch’s eyes darted around: "I heard Miss Sinclair has acquired Kevin Group and is now back to take over. Surely, there will be future collaborations with our Lynch Family, today’s incident was quite the misunderstanding. I’ll bring my daughter to visit and apologize some other day."

The updates at Kevin Group were no secret in Bayside City; it’s not surprising Old Master Lynch was well-informed.

Seraphina Sinclair wasn’t one to take advantage of others; seeing Peter Lynch’s formal apology despite his age for Shirley Lynch, she pitied him a bit.

Though she was somewhat puzzled by the level of concern over Kevin Group’s influence, she didn’t linger on it and nodded: "It’s fine."

Peter Lynch expressed his gratitude profusely, booked a cinema for them to watch movies in peace, and left with Shirley Lynch.

Seraphina Sinclair’s good mood was largely dissipated, and she didn’t feel like watching anymore. She handed the movie tickets to the young person waiting at the door and headed home with Desmond Fairchild and Jude Sinclair.

Sitting in the car, Seraphina Sinclair suddenly sneezed hard.

Desmond Fairchild handed her a tissue, she turned to take it, smilingly thanking him.

"Got a cold?" Desmond Fairchild’s voice carried a hint of concern.

Seraphina Sinclair shook her head: "Maybe Shirley Lynch is cursing me, no big deal."

As soon as she finished speaking, she sneezed several more times, tears almost coming out.

Judging by her reaction, she didn’t seem alright. Desmond Fairchild’s eyebrows furrowed slightly: "Take medicine when you get home."

He had never genuinely cared about anyone, yet Seraphina Sinclair merely sneezed twice, making his nerves tense suddenly, a situation that surprised even himself.

Jude Sinclair looked out the car window with great interest, feeling extremely happy. Finally, someone was caring about his mommy, perhaps soon they’ll become a real family of three.

Once home, Rosalie Quinn’s call came through.

Seraphina Sinclair was too lazy to pick up her phone, so she directly put it on speakerphone, and Rosalie Quinn’s persistent voice immediately came across: "Seraphina Sinclair, impressive huh? Heard from our son you had a blast going out today, even with your cheap husband? Our son said your cheap husband is super handsome. So, what happened? Did any sparks fly on your date today?"
