Seraphina Sinclair held the Lloyd Group’s proposal letter and waved to Irene Rowe, "Go tell Ethan Lloyd that we’re willing to collaborate with Kevin."

"BOSS, I don’t think we need to collaborate with the Lloyd Group. Our company is already leagues ahead of them. Why lower our status?" Irene Rowe wasn’t quite in agreement with Seraphina Sinclair’s decision.

"What? You don’t trust your BOSS’s capability?" Seraphina Sinclair raised an eyebrow.

Irene Rowe quickly waved her hand, "That’s not it, of course, I trust your capability. It’s just that your capability doesn’t need validation through collaboration with a second-rate group like them."

"A few years ago, the Lloyd Group was also a giant in Bayside City. How come they’re worthless in your eyes now?" Seraphina Sinclair couldn’t help but be curious.

"Ethan Lloyd is rather despicable. When he married the young lady of the Sinclair Family, he indeed rode high in Bayside City through the marriage alliance. But times have changed; he began his decline after selling the Sinclair’s stakes. Although the Lloyd Group hasn’t gone bankrupt, its profits are struggling, making them far from an ideal partner."

Fearing Seraphina Sinclair’s unfamiliarity with the Lloyd Group due to her recent return, Irene Rowe patiently explained the reasons, hoping she’d reconsider the collaboration.

Unexpectedly, Seraphina Sinclair merely smiled after hearing this and insisted on her plan, "Vice President Rowe, do as I say."

The address "Vice President Rowe" made Irene Rowe realize she had no room for argument. Whenever Seraphina wanted to be strictly professional, she’d address her like this.

Even though she didn’t agree internally, Irene Rowe could only nod, "Alright, I’ll get it done."

It’s time to meet Ethan Lloyd after being back in the country for so long.

At nine in the evening, Seraphina Sinclair finished her work and was ready to head back to Azure Cloud Shores. Upon reaching the parking lot, she found her car had run out of gas without her noticing.

Just as she was about to hail a taxi, a Mercedes stopped right in front of her.

The car window rolled down slowly, revealing Desmond Fairchild’s extraordinarily handsome face.

"Get in the car," the still emotionless voice, seemingly devoid of any feelings, spoke.

Seraphina Sinclair raised an eyebrow, slid into the passenger seat, and casually asked, "When did you buy a car? And such an expensive one?"

Such a pricey Mercedes was nothing extraordinary to her, but for Desmond Fairchild, it certainly wasn’t a small amount.

She hadn’t even adjusted her seat when Desmond Fairchild’s handsome face suddenly came very close, and their mouths were barely two centimeters apart.

Seraphina Sinclair felt her heart seemingly stop; she even paused her breathing. She blinked her eyes, nervously asking, "What are you doing?"

"Close the door," a gentle glow appeared in Desmond Fairchild’s eyes, closing the car door swiftly and attentively fastening her seatbelt.

Seraphina Sinclair swallowed, her heart pounding faster again. She began to doubt if something was wrong with her heart; why did her pulse quicken so easily recently?

"What do you want to eat?" Desmond Fairchild started the car, casually asking.

"An-anything," still catching her breath, Seraphina Sinclair wasn’t even aware of what Desmond Fairchild said, reflexively answering.
