"What did you call her?" Desmond Fairchild narrowed his eyes slightly.

Ethan Lloyd quickly corrected himself, "President Sinclair, President Sinclair, I’m sorry... Please don’t hold it against her."

"Hold it against? I think she’s the one holding it against me." Seraphina Sinclair curled her lips.

"Let’s go, I’ve already called the police. The matter of deliberately injuring someone with a knife will naturally be handled by them." Desmond Fairchild took Seraphina Sinclair’s and Jude Sinclair’s hands.

"Seraphina Sinclair, I won’t let you get away with this."

Seraphina Sinclair’s eyes were filled with delight, "Melanie Lloyd, you’d better say that after you get out of the detention center."

The group left Lloyd Group, and Ethan Lloyd collapsed onto a bench.

"That man is Desmond Fairchild, the heir to Cloudsea Group." Ethan Lloyd slowly uttered a few words, leaving Melanie Lloyd in a blank daze, unable to speak.

The mastermind behind Cloudsea Group was very mysterious; large events where appearances were necessary were always attended by the vice president, and few people had seen the big boss behind Cloudsea.

By sheer coincidence, he had seen Desmond Fairchild’s photo in an old executive’s phone who had met him before.

Melanie Lloyd screamed, "How is that possible, it’s impossible, we personally hired the public relations team back then, how could it turn out to be Desmond Fairchild of Cloudsea Group?"

The stark reality before her was incomprehensible to Melanie Lloyd; how had Seraphina Sinclair suddenly transformed into a phoenix?

The present situation wasn’t one where they could contend with Seraphina Sinclair; it was a one-sided crush, like the difference between an ant and an elephant.

Seraphina? Melanie Lloyd sharply noticed Ethan Lloyd’s change in addressing Seraphina Sinclair; her resentment deepened, though she plastered a flattering smile on her face, "Ethan, of course I know the gravity of the situation, but the police matter, you must help me."

"Don’t worry, leave the rest to me. You’re my woman; I won’t stand idly by and watch you go to jail." Ethan Lloyd reached out and patted Melanie Lloyd’s head.

But in his mind, a different plan was brewing; after all, Seraphina Sinclair had been with him for some years, and was once wholeheartedly devoted to him. Although there were misunderstandings before, if he found an opportunity for them to be alone, surely she’d show him some consideration?
