CHAPTER 96: CH.96 NEO AND YULAN(2)

Today was a leave as the antique shop was closed, so Neo did his morning practice and returned to the orphanage.

He didn’t see Yulan, and although he felt something was missing, he quickly took a bath and changed his clothes.

The man spoke in a friendly tone, but Neo was sure that his voice was synthesized. Neo just nodded at him before jumping over a crate and sitting on it.

Through here, he can overlook everybody in the building, and this place is also the closest to the exit of this base.

Black Gold said as Neo put the vile in his pocket, he looked at Yulan in the distance, who was peeking at them.

Seeing her amateurish behavior, he couldn’t help but worry about her as he stood up and looked at Black Gold.

"Is it all?"

He asked as Black Gold nodded his head, then with that, Neo looked in the direction of the exit of the base and walked toward it.

"Hey, don’t you need manpower?"

Black Eyes asked as the other two also looked at him, Neo stopped and stared back at him with cold eyes.

"Have I even needed that?"

After saying that, he walked out, and the three didn’t stop him.

"Show of."

Black Bones muttered disdainfully as he looked at the figure of Neo disappearing in the distance.

"Well, he has never failed, and that’s all that matters."

Black Gold muttered as he handed them more paper, it involved all the manpower they were given and the insiders they had.

Some information here was already known to them, so they quickly looked through it before calling all the men.

Near the empty exit, Neo took out an invisibility cloak and put it on. After making sure that no one had seen him, he walked back.

On Yulan’s Side..

In the morning, after shouting at Neo, she quickly ran out of the orphanage and entered an alley. After a while, she started to regret yelling at him as tears couldn’t help but drop from her eyes.

A man walked in as they gave him their respect. The man looked at all the people present for a while before walking deeper into the alley.

Yulan finally saw the Black Gold, one of the pillars of the Black Land Hall. Taking a deep breath, she followed him.

After going through the tunnel, she finally entered their base. She clicked the recording function of her watch as she looked at everyone present.

At the far back, she saw the other three pillars, Black Heart, Black Eyes, and Black Bones. As she looked at the Black Heart for some reason, she felt that he was staring at her.

Her heart tightened before she prepared for the worst, but seeing that he didn’t show any reaction, she breathed a sigh of relief as she quickly hid behind the crates before her cloak’s timer ran out.

She took out another cloak, but for some reason, it stopped working. Clicking her tongue, she peeked from the crates, listening to their conversation.

The Black Heart left as she heard their comment about him, the men around stared to move as she quickly hid herself.

A man was standing on the other side of the crate, so she slowed her breathing and made as little noise as possible.

"Hey, do you think we will get a promotion after this?"

"Yes, this mission is important as long as you don’t mess up, the promotion is almost guaranteed."

"Sweet~"

"Though that Black Heart had too big of an ego."

"Well, you may be right, but be careful, otherwise he may put you six feet under if he hears your comment."

A whisper reached her ear as she couldn’t help but freeze; the voice of the person was familiar to her.

"Hey, is there someone there?"

The man outside was alerted due to the box’s movement as he looked there only to find a cockroach on the ground.

"Was there something there?"

"Just a roach."

"HAHA, Scared by a roach."

"Shut up, fu#ker."

"You two, stop! The boss is calling us."

"Ok, coming."

After everything became silent, the hand stopped closing her mouth as she saw the figure of her friend.

"Friend."

Yulan could help but exclaim as a touch of joy appeared on her face.
