Unlimited Resources: Raising a Minister with a Space Supermarket
Chapter 154 - 153: Girls Should Be a Little More Fragrant Than Boys
CHAPTER 154: CHAPTER 153: GIRLS SHOULD BE A LITTLE MORE FRAGRANT THAN BOYS
With a mad dash back to the inn, as soon as she entered the room, Yu Xiaolian had Zhao Erya guard the door while she entered the space.
She originally intended to come in and set the bamboo baskets filled with crabs, but upon entering, she found these baskets already neatly arranged in the aquatic section.
Could it be that after the space upgraded, it could automatically categorize things?
The frozen goods in her family’s supermarket were plenty, but the only live things were crucian carp and carp.
The aquatic section also had several large plastic basins, but they were all empty, previously used for holding crayfish.
However, before her parents went on vacation, worried that Yu Xiaolian wouldn’t be able to handle the aquatic goods, they decided not to stock up for a few days and took them off the shelves temporarily.
If Yu Xiaolian had known she would time travel, she definitely would have brought along her favorite crayfish.
Unfortunately, there are no ifs...
Initially planning to do a bit of tidying up, she hadn’t expected the space to be so accommodating after the upgrade.
The fifty thousand taels certainly weren’t swallowed in vain.
When Yu Xiaolian came out, she took some pastries with her; as for the packaging, she tore it off and threw it in the recycling corner.
Before, she’d sneakily burn plastic packaging that could be incinerated in the stove and piled up those that couldn’t be burned in the waste corner—she used to wonder whether she should find a secluded mountain and dig a pit to bury them or what.
This space was indeed addressing her concerns. She wondered if, when she saved up another fifty thousand taels, the space would swallow them again.
If it upgraded again and sent her gun over, that would be amazing.
Yu Xiaolian, holding snacks and pastries, went to the room next door.
Next door, Sun was leaning against the head of the bed with a smile, watching Little Huzi and Zhao Sanyan sitting on the floor playing ’grab stones.’
Old Lady Sun sat at the table, looking at the two children with a kindly expression.
As soon as Yu Xiaolian entered, she exclaimed loudly, "I bought crisp cakes and mung bean cakes, everyone come and eat!"
Sun leaned against the head of the bed without moving, indicating that she didn’t want to eat, as she had no appetite.
Little Huzi and Erya threw down their stones and excitedly ran over.
Huzi: "Sister, you’re so nice..."
Sanyan: "Sister Xiaolian, you’re so nice!"
Yu Xiaolian placed the mung bean cakes and crisp cakes on the table, handing Old Lady Sun a crisp cake first before casually asking, "Where are my dad and uncle?"
Sun replied, "The two of them also went for a stroll at the dock, you didn’t see them?"
Yu Xiaolian shook her head, "I didn’t see them."
Bohai’s dock was very large; not seeing them was normal.
Besides, she went towards the fishing boats to buy crabs, while her dad and uncle should’ve gone to the passenger ships.
Little Huzi pulled Zhao Sanyan to wash their hands, then went to the table, grabbing two crisp cakes and handing one to Zhao Sanyan.
Now that Sanyan called him ’brother,’ as a brother, he naturally had to take care of his sister.
Sanyan accepted the crisp cake, her eyes curving in a smile, and sweetly said to Little Huzi, "Thank you, Brother Huzi."
The term ’brother’ was music to Little Huzi’s ears; he also took two mung bean cakes and stuffed them into Sanyan’s hands, "You’re too thin, eat more to become good-looking. Look at your second sister, she’s chubbier and prettier than you."
Sanyan felt a bit down, saying in a low voice, "My second sister was just born more good-looking than me, it’s not about being chubby."
But now her second sister was better looking than before, fairer, chubbier, and more fragrant than before.
Thinking of when Sister Xiaolian gave her the children’s moisturizer, saying that applying it every day would make her prettier, Sanyan’s face changed—oh no, she had forgotten to apply it today.
This was a big deal; she hurriedly gobbled down her crisp cake and told Little Huzi, "I need to go back to my room."
She already wasn’t as pretty as her second sister; how could she afford to be lazy with skincare?
Sanyan hurried off and soon hurried back, ready to continue eating the mung bean cake.
Little Huzi sat close to Sanyan while grabbing his mung bean cake, and he noticed that Sanyan had become fragrant.
Little Huzi took a bite of the mung bean cake and moved his nose closer to Sanyan, sniffing hard, "You smell really nice, what did you do?"
Sanyan, hearing Little Huzi praise her for smelling nice, felt proud but didn’t want to share the secret with Little Huzi, "I’m not telling you!"
Little Huzi believed that after spending so much time together, his revolutionary friendship with Sanyan had deepened.
During this period, Sanyan had talked with him a lot, and he had shared many things with her, even some little secrets his grandma didn’t know.
Now that Sanyan had a secret and wouldn’t tell him, Little Huzi felt hurt.
Little Huzi huffed at Sanyan, "If you don’t tell me, I won’t be friends with you anymore. Give me back the mung bean cake."
Sanyan, still holding the mung bean cake Little Huzi gave her, was caught in a dilemma. After some thought, Sanyan decided to yield to Little Huzi for the sake of the delicious mung bean cake.
"The fragrance I applied was given by Sister Xiaolian. Sister Xiaolian said girls should be a little more sophisticated and told me to apply it every day after washing my face. I forgot to apply it this morning, but I applied it just now.
Didn’t Sister Xiaolian give you any?"
Sister Xiaolian was Little Huzi’s cousin and usually very fond of him, so she surely must have given Little Huzi some of the good stuff too.
Yu Xiaolian did give Little Huzi a moisturizer, but it was different from Sanyan’s; Little Huzi’s had a blue cap, meant for boys and wasn’t very fragrant.
Sanyan’s was the pink cap type, which smelled slightly more fragrant than what Little Huzi used.
Little Huzi pulled Sanyan to the next room, asking her to get her moisturizer so he could smell it.
Sanyan returned to the room and cautiously pulled out a small white porcelain jar from her bundle, opening it for Little Huzi to smell.
Seeing that the packaging was the same, Little Huzi pouted, "It’s the same thing, why does yours smell better than mine?"
Sanyan, matter-of-factly, said as she put the jar away, "Girls have to be a little more fragrant than boys!"
Little Huzi then asked Sanyan, "Did my sister give you something for brushing your teeth?"
His toothpaste and toothbrush were really good, surely Sanyan didn’t have them.
Sanyan took out a pink toothbrush and a tube of children’s toothpaste from her bundle, "Here you go!"
Little Huzi felt defeated; it turned out he wasn’t his sister’s favorite child.
Little Huzi: Do you have soap?
Sanyan nods: I have it.
What about shampoo and body wash?
Sanyan nods again, I have those too.
Unwilling to give up, Little Huzi thought for a moment and said, "Then you definitely don’t have a brush and ink, right?"
Zhao Sanyan tilted her head, "What do I need a brush and ink for?"
She couldn’t write anyway, so those things were useless to her.
Finally finding something Sanyan didn’t have, Little Huzi felt like he had won back a point.
Brushes and ink were for studying, and his sister only gave them to him, not Sanyan; his sister must think he was smart, while Sanyan was too dumb.
Little Huzi looked at her with a slightly sympathetic gaze and said, "You can use my brush in the future, but you’ll have to wait until I’m done using it first."
Sanyan waved her hand, "No need, my second sister said we should just work hard and speak less as maids, being unable to write doesn’t matter."
"What your second sister said isn’t right, you should listen to me in the future!"
"My second sister is never wrong..."
"Are you going to listen to me or to your second sister?"
Sanyan didn’t hesitate, replying crisply, "I’m listening to my second sister!"
