Unrequited Love: Impossible to Hide My Love for You!
Chapter 102: The Secret in the Safe
CHAPTER 102: CHAPTER 102: THE SECRET IN THE SAFE
Blake Sinclair looked at the three photos Aiden Jenson posted on Weibo.
Holly Crowe looked up at him, "What are you thinking about?"
Blake Sinclair handed the phone to her, a hint of jealousy almost overflowing: "You have photos with others, so many of them, yet we don’t have a single one. Look, Aiden not only has a childhood photo with you but also this one of your back from middle school. When did he take these?"
Once he started speaking, he couldn’t stop.
"Aiden definitely has an ulterior motive for you. He could’ve just posted one group photo, but he had to post three."
Holly glanced casually and then looked away, unconcerned, "Aiden was helping me clear up misunderstandings."
Hearing the way she addressed him, Blake lowered his head, gave her a quick kiss, and protested: "Holly, can’t you tell I’m jealous?"
Holly teased him deliberately, "So what?"
"So, we’ve already gotten married, yet we don’t even have a single photo together." His voice softened a bit.
Holly didn’t expect him to be jealous about this and straightened up, poking his chest, "But we do have a photo that no one else has."
Blake raised his eyebrows, signaling for her to explain.
"It’s our marriage certificate photo, with a red background, official stamped photo, it’s registered nationwide, how meaningful."
"That’s not the same."
Blake pulled her hand over and interlocked their fingers, "You said it yourself, it’s an official photo, not a nicely taken one."
Now that they had mutual feelings, Blake was even more daring, knowing Holly liked him,
A big woman should spoil the man she loves.
Holly saw the anticipation in his eyes and leaned closer, "How about we take one now?"
Blake’s eyes lit up.
Holly decided to act immediately, taking out her phone and opening the camera, but Blake didn’t move.
She turned to look at him, "What’s wrong?"
Blake furrowed his brows, "There’s no sense of occasion. The photos you took with others are meaningful; ours can’t be so casual."
"So, what do you want?"
Blake whispered a few words in her ear.
"Sure."
Blake somehow found a Polaroid camera and timer, set them up on a tripod, then they changed into matching t-shirts he had bought on a business trip before, and sat in front of the living room sofa, with Blake holding her shoulder and the marriage certificate.
The shutter clicked, and the first photo popped out.
Blake carefully picked up the photo, gently shaking it while waiting for it to develop, his eyes full of joy.
Holly was curious, "Didn’t expect you to have a Polaroid camera?"
Blake paused for a moment, "When I was young, Laurel had this hobby, so I followed her and got one."
He pulled Holly down to sit again, "Let’s take another one."
This time, before Holly could react, the shutter had already clicked.
In the photo, Holly was looking blankly at the camera, while Blake gave her a quick kiss just as the shutter went down.
All evening, Holly kept him company taking many photos, with the Polaroid and the phone.
Eventually, she reached the point where as soon as she saw the camera, she instinctively sat up straight, her eyelids growing heavy.
Holly watched him spend a long time selecting photos, curious which one he would end up posting on Weibo.
Finally, the notification sound from Weibo chimed.
Holly clicked into his profile, stunned by the photos he posted.
He posted two photos; one was of her looking sleepy, leaning on the coffee table while sitting on the blanket, and the other was a childhood Polaroid taken from her album at Port Kallow, where she was sleeping on her desk.
The netizens on Weibo saw these two photos, and the fans came flocking in droves.
[Oh my god, President Sinclair is so in love.]
[I get it, President Sinclair got jealous of Aiden Jenson’s photos, so he started flaunting his rightful place like crazy.]
[Am I the only one who noticed the stack of photo paper in the corner of the coffee table? President Sinclair, please post the remaining photos.]
Blake Sinclair liked and replied to the comment, [I won’t post them.]
"Why not post them? We took so many just now, why choose the one of me sleeping?" Holly saw the comment and asked him.
Blake sorted the photo papers and put away the marriage certificate, "I just wanted a photo for ourselves, not to show others."
Holly: "....."
She watched as he carried the photos and marriage certificate into the study, and she followed after him.
She discovered him locking everything in a silver safe on the study cabinet.
"You hid it so securely?"
"Of course. These are very important to me." Blake locked the safe and turned to embrace her.
Holly, always up for some drama, pointed to the black safe at the top, "What about that one? I noticed it there since we moved in. Is it important too?"
Blake followed her finger, looked at the black safe, and then back at her, his gaze deep, "Important. Holly, do you want to know what’s inside?"
Holly’s heart skipped a beat, unconsciously clenching her hand, "Would you show me if I did?"
Blake’s voice was light but serious, "As long as you want to."
Holly looked into his eyes, feeling like his words had deeper meaning.
She knew that the black safe was surely important to Blake. Her instincts told her she could open it, but she feared it might be a Pandora’s box, unleashing chaos once opened.
Holly suppressed her emotions, "Forget it, I do have a sense of boundaries."
Blake caught the flicker of hesitation in her eyes but said nothing.
Though the two now understood each other, the "First Love" still pricked at her heart, making her uneasy.
"Blake Sinclair."
"Hmm?"
Holly wrapped her arms around his waist, pressing against his chest: "Blake Sinclair, you....."
She looked up into his eyes, wanting to ask, "Do you still have a First Love?" or "Is there someone else in your heart?"
But in the end, she just smiled and asked, "Do you love me?"
Blake’s gaze softened, "I love you."
"Then let’s live our lives well, okay? Let the past stay in the past."
"Alright, we’ll live well."
Holly nodded in his arms.
After the media frenzy calmed down, everything returned to normal.
Aside from managing Lunar Lotus Studio, Holly attended online classes during her spare time.
The only change was in Blake Sinclair, who somehow started constantly holding his phone, even sharing everyday life on his Weibo account.
Every time he attended a social event, he would video call her to report, and sometimes he would ask her to give him a call.
But every time she called, before she could speak, he’d answer first, "Miss me? I’ll come right back."
Gradually, the word spread that Blake Sinclair was completely under his wife’s control.
Once during a dinner gathering, Shane Yates secretly told her, "The last time I had dinner with Ulysses, the second one just left after answering an alarm, saying you missed him so much that you couldn’t sleep. Do they take us for fools?"
Holly’s cheeks turned red.
Especially recently when they were intimate, his sweet words flowed effortlessly, and he even tried new positions and places with her that they hadn’t before.
Holly, overwhelmed, asked him where he learned all of it.
Blake whispered a few words while biting her ear.
The next day, driven by curiosity, Holly dived into the super topic named [Sinclair-Crowe CP], and upon seeing those familiar words and position diagrams, she blushed and exited quickly.
Who would’ve known that the seemingly elegant and aloof Blake Sinclair would secretly look at such things in private?
For over a week, life was sweet as honey, but even amidst the sweetness, Holly would think about the black safe, like a ticking time bomb, unsure of when it would explode.
"Let’s wait and see."
Holly softly told herself.
