Unrequited Love: Impossible to Hide My Love for You!
Chapter 108: Blake Sinclair Is Injured for Her
CHAPTER 108: CHAPTER 108: BLAKE SINCLAIR IS INJURED FOR HER
Morning.
Holly Crowe only noticed the red string tied around her left wrist was missing when she was washing up.
It was clearly still there before she went to sleep last night, did it fall off?
While having breakfast, she initially wanted to ask Blake Sinclair if he had seen the red string, but when she looked up, she saw his right hand was also empty.
Holly’s heart quivered, and a vague suspicion rose in her mind.
After breakfast, she returned to the bedroom to change clothes.
With the door closed, she walked straight to the bed, reached under his pillow without any hesitation.
Her fingers soon touched the sachet.
She took it out, opened the string, and glanced at it. As expected, inside were two fine, intertwined red strings, inseparable from each other.
Holly couldn’t help but curl her lips and whispered, "Childish."
Despite her words, an indescribable sweetness spread from her heart, slightly dispelling the unease hidden within.
He believed in those words so much, does this mean he has completely let go of the past and is willing to move forward with her?
Holly smiled, about to put the sachet back when she remembered the wishes they wrote on paper last night.
Those two pieces of paper are now inside the sachet, and if she took them out to peek, Blake wouldn’t know.
Holly really wanted to know what he had written.
Would it be the same as what she wrote?
Her hand was already reaching into the sachet, just a simple action, and she could know the answer.
Her fingertips hesitated and curled, but in the moment of touching the paper, she pulled her hand back.
Forget it, better not to look.
At this moment, Holly admitted her cowardice; what if...what if it’s not what she wanted to see? Besides, Blake said he would show her when the time is right.
Better to wait a little longer.
Holly restored the sachet to its original state, placed it back under the pillow, gently patting it, as if hiding a secret or guarding a sweetness.
She changed into another set of clothes and went out, acting as if nothing had happened.
In the living room, the producers were already waiting to discuss today’s filming matters with her. When they were ready to leave, Holly noticed Blake’s attire was different from usual.
A short-sleeved denim blue shirt paired with dark jeans, replacing his usual suit and tie’s calm nobility with a touch of youthful freshness.
Seeing his outfit, Holly’s alarm bells went off instantly.
The last time she saw Blake dressed like this, it was to confuse her and take her to see a traditional doctor.
Could it be.....
Is he planning some mischief again?
Holly looked at him suspiciously, "You today...?"
Blake looked over naturally, "What’s wrong?"
Holly suppressed her questions, "It’s nothing."
Upon arriving at the recording site, the man who clearly stated yesterday that he didn’t want to appear on camera, actually followed her into the pottery classroom today.
His entrance drew endless praises.
"President Sinclair looks so handsome today! I thought a male college student had walked in."
"At first glance, I thought our show had a new guest, even without a suit, President Sinclair is so charismatic."
Blake nodded slightly, responding politely, "Thank you."
During recording breaks, the director team needed to adjust the cameras and equipment.
Holly couldn’t resist and pulled Blake into a nearby break room, closed the door, and asked, "Be honest, do you have a fling here?"
Blake chuckled, reaching to embrace her, "Aren’t you the fling?"
Holly dodged his hand, eyes scrutinizing, "Don’t change the subject. You dressed up so flamboyantly today and kept hovering in front of the camera, what are you up to?"
"Flamboyant?" Blake raised an eyebrow, voice innocent, "This is just normal attire for a thirty-year-old man."
Holly squinted, struck with a realization, "Blake...did you read those online comments and want to look younger?"
She remembered how after his brown sugar ginger tea video was posted, netizens commented, "Older men are indeed more caring." She shared it with him yesterday as a joke.
Could it be he took it seriously?
Blake’s eyes flashed as he leaned closer, "Do I look very old to you?"
He stared into Holly’s eyes, a hint of danger flickering.
The more he acted like this, the more convinced Holly became.
She suddenly felt like teasing him, her fingers brushing his shirt collar, "Mr. Sinclair, do you have age anxiety?"
No sooner had she said it than she was pulled into his arms, her cheeks playfully pinched twice.
Holly laughed, swatted his hands away, raised herself, and pretended to straighten his collar seriously.
She teased solemnly, "Mr. Sinclair, a man three years older is a gold brick! Though they say over thirty is sixty-five, I won’t disdain you."
Blake was amused by her words, holding her tightly in his arms, he whispered something suggestive in her ear.
Holly’s face turned red instantly, she pushed away and bolted for the door.
Outside, Shannon Yarrow stood there without them knowing.
Holly paused in surprise.
Shannon appeared natural, as if just arrived, she smiled, "Teacher Holly, the camera positions are set."
Holly nodded hastily, "Oh, okay, thank you."
She quickly returned to the recording scene, not having time to ponder how the crew let a guest come to inform her to prepare for filming, nor did she notice the complex glance Shannon cast towards the break room’s door.
Afternoon marked an open house recording, with the crew selecting some online-registered fans to come for an on-site pottery experience.
Holly and Shannon were grouped to instruct pottery throwing, surprisingly Shannon was quite adept at it, as if specially trained, and they coordinated well.
Before the open day activities concluded, there was a group photo session, and she and Shannon were positioned in the center.
After the photo, Holly noticed a sneaky figure lingering in the corner.
She had been observing this man since earlier.
During pottery throwing, he repeatedly created excuses to have Shannon guide him closely, and during the photo session, he pushed aside the girl next to him to stand behind Shannon, staring at her with an unnerving intensity.
Feeling something was off, as she was about to alert the crew, she saw the man with a lecherous expression suddenly charge towards Shannon.
No one present had time to react.
Holly stood right beside Shannon and seeing the man about to grab her, instinctively pulled Shannon over to her side.
The man didn’t expect this turn, immediately turning to lunge in their direction.
Holly barely managed to steady herself and was about to call for help when a force suddenly pushed her at the waist, sending her tumbling sideways.
The spot where they took the photo was a decorative broken porcelain wall built for artistic effect in The Celadon Town, with sharp porcelain shards protruding that could cut easily if not careful.
With one push, Holly was sent straight into the broken porcelain wall, a fall that would definitely ruin her face.
Just when she thought she was about to crash into the wall, an embrace enveloped her from behind, and a second later, with a "thud," the two of them were slammed into the broken porcelain wall.
A muffled groan came from behind.
"Mr. Sinclair! Are you okay?"
Holly had not yet reacted when Shannon rushed over and pushed her aside.
Gone was her usual composure and elegance, she squatted beside Blake, trying to check his back, her face full of concern and worry.
