CHAPTER 206: CHAPTER 206: A ROMANTIC AND PERFECT PROPOSAL (PART 2)
After adjusting to the time difference in Brelond for two days, on the following day, Holly went to meet Miles Quill.
When she returned, it was already evening, and she happened to encounter Blake Sinclair discussing photography details with the photographer.
She returned to her bedroom to change clothes, and the photographer had already left.
"How did the conversation go?" He wrapped his arm around her waist and left a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"Very well, the teacher gave me a lot of advice."
Holly’s eyes sparkled, "Did the photographer leave?"
"Yes." Blake Sinclair ruffled her hair, "Are you tired? Go rest on the sofa for a while, I made you some red sugar water, I’ll go get it for you."
Holly felt a warmth in her heart. Yesterday Brelond had just entered wintertime, although it hadn’t rained, the chill felt much more intense.
She nestled into the sofa in the living room facing the floor-to-ceiling window, took out her phone, and snapped a few pictures of London Bridge lighting up outside, sending them to Celia Stiles.
But perhaps due to the time difference, Celia Stiles hadn’t replied yet.
She tapped on her phone a few more times, and upon hearing footsteps from the kitchen, she quickly returned to the main screen.
Blake Sinclair entered with the red sugar water, "Careful, it’s hot."
He handed it to her, then went to the walk-in closet to fetch a softer cashmere blanket to cover her legs.
Holly sipped from the cup, watching him being so attentive, happiness filled her heart, and she couldn’t help but smile.
"What are you smiling about?"
Holly turned to lean into his embrace, looking up at him: "Nothing, just thinking, my husband is really wonderful."
This heartfelt compliment lightly brushed past Blake Sinclair’s heart like a feather.
He narrowed his eyes slightly, with joy rippling in them, and leaned closer to her, "So, is there a reward?"
Holly’s brows curved into a smile, she leaned forward and pressed a kiss on his lips, tinged with the sweet aroma of red sugar.
However, just as she intended to pull away, Blake Sinclair cupped the back of her head and deepened the kiss.
"Mmm, don’t..."
Holly was still holding the cup, and could only push him away with one hand, uttering muffled protests.
Blake Sinclair reluctantly pulled back, his nose still affectionately pressing against her face, starting to act playful, "Someone promised before coming here, pre-paid shares for the upcoming days."
Holly: "But didn’t we agree that when the wedding photoshoot starts, we’ll pause?"
"Yes,"
Blake Sinclair chuckled lightly, casting a meaningful glance at the night outside the window, "Right now, we haven’t started the wedding photoshoot, still five hours before midnight."
With those words, he took her cup and placed it on the small coffee table, then reached out with his long arms and scooped her up entirely from the sofa, pulling her close against him.
Outside, the lights along The River Wester grew increasingly dazzling.
London Bridge is one of the most famous drawbridges in the world, with the lower section that opens up. Whenever tall ships pass through, the bridge opens, offering a unique view of London.
Holly was originally lost in his kiss, feeling dizzy and confused.
But soon, she realized the direction Blake Sinclair was moving her wasn’t towards the bedroom, but instead towards the floor-to-ceiling window facing London Bridge.
"Blake Sinclair, go... go to the room."
However, Blake Sinclair ignored her.
He surrounded her from behind, making her face the magnificent view outside.
"Holly, look, isn’t London Bridge particularly beautiful tonight?"
Their apartment was located on a high floor, offering excellent views.
Holly’s waist felt weak, almost unable to stand, relying entirely on his arms for support.
She was forced to open her hazy eyes, gazing out the window.
At that moment, the sound of a ship’s whistle came from afar.
Vehicles and pedestrians on London Bridge were stopped at both ends of the bridge.
Under the watchful eyes of countless tourists and citizens, the bridge slowly opened.
A luxurious sightseeing cruise, sounding its horn, slowly sailed through the bridge opening.
"Holly, did you see that?"
Blake Sinclair’s voice was tense and excited, whispering in her ear as if sharing a secret only they knew.
"Mmm, I saw it."
Holly’s consciousness was half sinking, half awake.
Blake Sinclair gently lifted her chin, forcing her to look at the cruise passing through the bridge opening.
"London Bridge is opening."
She responded weakly, his lips laying a kiss on the nape of her neck.
Holly felt as if a butterfly had briefly stopped there, its wings fluttering across her skin, stirring a shiver.
"Do you see the ship?" He held her even tighter.
"I see it."
"Tell me, what do you see?"
"The ship entered the bridge opening, and passed... passed through it."
She answered intermittently, the scene in front of her slightly blurred by tears, yet the image of the ship crossing the open iron bridge etched into her mind.
"Does it look good?" He continued asking, his actions relentless.
"Good... looks good."
"I think it looks good too,"
Blake Sinclair laughed softly, his voice filled with satisfaction and delight, he leaned close, "Tonight’s scenery looks especially beautiful."
As night deepened, the cruise slowly sailed by, and the bridge reunited.
Yet, the romance inside the apartment was far from over.
Blake Sinclair carried Holly in his arms, heading towards the bedroom.
On the small coffee table, the red sugar water had long since cooled, half a cup remained solitary, bearing witness to the warmth and ensuing passion.
Holly’s period arrived the next day.
And at that moment, her only thought was whether Blake Sinclair had timed it perfectly, how it could be so coincidental.
Fortunately, this time she didn’t suffer from cramps, just a sore waist and fatigue.
Blake Sinclair originally wanted to delay the shoot for a day, but Holly refused.
She had her own plans, afraid of disrupting the schedule.
Seeing her firm attitude, and indeed not looking uncomfortable, Blake Sinclair reluctantly agreed but still instructed the photographer and assistant to keep an eye on her status and stop immediately if there’s any discomfort.
On the day of the shoot, London’s sky was perfect, warm sunlight and a gentle breeze.
They wore wedding dresses and suits, carrying bouquets, traveling from Sovereign Park, to The London Wheel, and then to The Grand Chime.
Each scene captured their sweet interaction and loving gazes.
Passersby, regardless of nationality, irrespective of age, would smile and offer blessings upon seeing them.
Over the following days, they followed their plan, heading north all the way.
From London to Kingswell, passing through the streets of Braeburn, followed by a drive through The Northern Highlands, finally arriving at Eldoria.
They filmed the final scene on Isle of Nimbus along the A82 Highway, acclaimed as one of the world’s most beautiful roads.
The last day’s shoot was in a church in Eldoria.
Sunlight streamed through the stained glass windows, forming beams of light.
At the front of the church was a cross, temporarily installed with a curved screen below.
After completing the final set of wedding photos, Holly went to the adjoining restroom to touch up her makeup.
The photographer approached Blake Sinclair, "President Sinclair, we still need to reshoot a scene for the wedding video. It’s simple, just stand here, and when the screen lights up, follow the prompts to make a turning motion."
Blake Sinclair nodded in understanding.
"Alright, ready, start!" The photographer gestured.
The church fell silent, only faint machine sounds could be heard.
Suddenly, the huge curved screen lit up, dispelling the dim corner of the church.
Following the instructions, Blake Sinclair looked at the screen, ready to make the turning motion.
However, what appeared on the screen wasn’t the predefined text prompt, but instead, flickering scenes like an old videotape rewinding, accompanied by "zzz" noises.
He was slightly stunned.
Immediately after, the image stabilized, showing Holly’s face in the center of the screen.
