CHAPTER 92: CHAPTER 92: BREACH OF CONTRACT, PREPARE FOR PUNISHMENT

All restraint and disguise disappeared completely in that moment.

Blake Sinclair shifted from passive to active, lifting her into his arms and quickly heading to the bedroom.

Holly Crowe was laid on the bed, breathing unsteadily as she looked at the man above her, also breathless.

Holly was at her wits’ end, glaring at him and said with bravado, "If it breaches the agreement, then so be it, what of it?"

Blake Sinclair brushed her hair gently, "Not much, but...."

"The one who breaches the agreement...."

He leaned down, nibbling on her earlobe, his voice hoarse and rough, "has to accept punishment."

Upon hearing the word punishment, Holly instinctively shivered, feeling an ominous foreboding, "Wh... what punishment?"

Blake Sinclair whispered a few words into her ear.

Holly immediately understood what he meant.

Her face flushed crimson.

So he had seen it all along!

She buried her face in his chest, softly declining, "No... I don’t want to wear it..."

"Oh?"

Blake Sinclair raised his eyebrow, showing no intention of letting her go.

He tilted her chin up, slowly reminded her, "Then... I’ll have to use my birthday wish."

Blake Sinclair deliberately elongated his words, "My birthday wish is..."

Holly immediately covered his mouth, "Don’t say those words!"

Blake laughed lowly, grasped her hand, and kissed her palm.

In the end, he never got to see what that outfit looked like on her.

But he found another, more direct way to punish the contract breaker.

Until deep into the night....

...

The so-called three-point agreement was tacitly acknowledged by both of them as null and void after that night.

Holly didn’t bring it up again, and Blake Sinclair would certainly not mention it either.

The thin items in the drawer were replenished regularly at a steady frequency.

In the morning, Holly scrolled through her phone while having breakfast.

Blake Sinclair sat across from her, placing a peeled egg in her bowl, "Store closed today?"

Holly nodded, "Yeah."

Blake Sinclair: "Then should I arrange for the dress fitting person to come over today?"

Holly looked up at him, puzzled, "Dress fitting? What dress? A wedding gown?"

She could only think of wedding dresses, but wasn’t their wedding date set for the end of October? Hadn’t they agreed to wait until they were both available to try on the wedding dress?

Blake Sinclair chuckled, "It’s an evening gown. Didn’t you agree to accompany me to the auction tomorrow night?"

Holly blinked: "...?"

Huh?

Why didn’t she know this?

When did this happen?

Seeing her bewildered expression, Blake Sinclair knew she had forgotten again.

"I told you last night before going to sleep. But if you’re eager to try the wedding dress, I can arrange that too."

Last night?

Holly recalled, he seemed to have said something last night, but at that time they were...

A few intimate scenes flashed in her mind.

Blake Sinclair, being quite cunning, would always make her agree to things at such particular moments.

"Do you remember now?"

Blake Sinclair raised an eyebrow, smiling meaningfully, "If not, I can help you recall, last night we seemed to be in the bathroom, you were then..."

"I remember! I remember!" Holly hastily interrupted, grabbing the egg from the bowl and stuffing it into his mouth, successfully stopping him from saying those inappropriate words.

No wonder people say you can only see a man’s true nature after marriage.

Holly could truly relate to that, Blake Sinclair was nothing like the "gentleman, mild and kind" that rumors portrayed!

The longer they spent together, the more his cunning nature was laid bare!

Seemingly well-mannered and noble, but only she knew how "awful" he could be in private!

Holly even began to suspect that Blake Sinclair might be hiding many things from her.

The dress fitting person was scheduled to come in the afternoon, after breakfast, Holly went out shopping with Celia Stiles.

Even though Blake Sinclair had taken care of everything for attending the banquet, as it was her first time accompanying him to such a formal event, and notably with the identity of Mrs. Sinclair, Holly was somewhat nervous.

She pulled Celia along for a full body treatment, just after stepping out they almost bumped into two people, luckily Celia steadied her, otherwise she might have hit a spiky ornament nearby.

Once steady, Holly hadn’t spoken before hearing a sharp voice from the opposite side, "Can you watch where you’re walking? Don’t you know to give way to a pregnant woman?"

A familiar voice.

Raising her head, she met a pair of familiar yet strange eyes.

Holly took a moment to realize it was Mia Chapelle.

Mia, wearing a mask, with her lower face completely covered, revealing only her eyes which showed a hint of exhaustion.

Judging by the time, she should be five or six months along, but her belly seemed as if it were seven or eight months.

Upon seeing Mia, Celia immediately retorted, "Shouldn’t you be the one watching the road? It’s only with bad eyesight you’d fall for such a scumbag."

Referring, naturally, to Zion Pence next to her, whose gaze had been fixed on Holly since before.

Thinking he would say something for Mia Chapelle, Zion Pence’s eyes remained on Holly.

But Holly hadn’t even glanced at him.

He said, "Sorry, we were the ones who bumped into you."

Mia Chapelle: "What are you apologizing for? Clearly, she was the one....."

Mia Chapelle, dissatisfied, attempted to make a scene, but Zion Pence’s cold rebuke cut her off, "Enough!"

His shout forced Mia into reluctant silence, but a flash of malice passed through her eyes as she looked at Holly.

Holly had no desire to engage with them, pulling Celia straight outside.

Mia’s eyes made her very uncomfortable, causing a great panic.

During the meal, as Celia was flipping the barbecue, she muttered with a frown, "Senior, don’t you think Mia’s eyes seem very familiar?"

Holly did feel the same; it was strange.

Celia said, "Really familiar, just like I’ve seen them just recently."

Seeing Celia’s puzzled look, Holly laughed, "Then why don’t you go over and take off her mask for a closer look?"

Celia: "Forget it, seeing them isn’t any good, it’s bad luck!"

What Holly didn’t expect was, just after Celia finished saying this, she met Zion Pence again.

After lunch, as Celia went to the bathroom, Holly waited outside.

She was looking at the message from Blake Sinclair on her phone when someone grabbed her wrist suddenly.

The person’s grip was strong, before Holly could react, she was dragged into the corridor behind a pillar out of sight.

The pillar blocked the entrance direction, the spot they stood was a blind spot.

Realizing who it was, Holly swung her bag at him, striking his arm with the chain on the bag strap, causing things to clatter to the floor.

"Zion Pence, are you crazy? What do you want?"

She turned to dash outside, but Zion, having anticipated this, stepped over to block her path.

Seeing her anger-flushed face, his heart ached immensely.

Ever since finding out Holly married Blake Sinclair, Zion had felt an emptiness, as if he’d lost something vital.

He finally realized, Holly wouldn’t return to him.

But the unwillingness remained buried within, and these days he lived at work, numbing himself with it, but it all collapsed the moment he saw her.

Zion’s voice carried a strain of weariness, "Holly.. I.."

Holly stepped back, "Don’t call me that, we’re not close."

Zion looked bitter, reaching to touch her face, but Holly turned away evasively.

A wave of obsession surged in his eyes, "Can’t you not treat me like this, have you forgotten our seven years? Can we talk properly?"

Holly remained silent.

Zion sighed, "Does Blake Sinclair treat you well?"

Still silent.

Zion, now nearly driven insane, hoarsely pleaded, "Holly you can hit me, curse me, just talk to me, please?"

Hearing this, Holly finally turned to glance at him.

Zion’s eyes lit up.

But the next second, a slap landed down.
