Urban Soldier Young Master
Chapter 780 779: Taking Wedding Photos
"Yes, it's this company."
"What about the size of this company? The legal representative, the main members, do you know anything about them, Brother Guan?"
"This company was just recently established, and it's not even within my jurisdiction. I did ask around a bit, but all I know is that most of the employees there can speak Korean; I don't have much other information."
Chu Ge pondered briefly and then asked, "What did they confess during yesterday's statements? Also, what was their attitude when the person came to pick them up, and what did they say to each other?"
Guan Peng smiled wryly, "Well... We don't have anyone who speaks Korean at our station, so we couldn't even take their statements. They seemed calm when they left, and the person who picked them up could speak Chinese, but said very little to us. Everything they said to each other was in Korean, and we couldn't understand any of it."
Chu Ge felt speechless. It was clear that Guan Peng didn't want to deal with these Korean people. Didn't they think of finding someone who speaks Korean?
Noticing Chu Ge's dissatisfaction, Guan Peng paused for two seconds and immediately changed the topic.
"By the way, Brother Chu, although we have communication barriers with those Koreans, I feel they don't seem to have plans to pursue this through official channels. Of course, this is just my own speculation. I'm not entirely sure about it."
Chu Ge was even more speechless. This seemed like nonsense; unsure of what? How could they not be sure!
If they wanted to pursue this through official channels, when someone who spoke Chinese went to the police station yesterday, they would have mentioned something about Bao Zhanhai. Since they didn't, they clearly had no expectation from the police.
There's no way Chu Ge believed these Koreans would just swallow this silently. The only reason they didn't report was they intended to take matters into their own hands for revenge.
Rubbing his temples, Chu Ge asked a few more questions, but Guan Peng didn't provide any valuable answers. Chu Ge exchanged a few pleasantries with him and then hung up.
Silently pondering for a moment, just as Chu Ge was about to call someone, his phone rang again. Seeing the number, a slight smile appeared on Chu Ge's lips.
As the call connected, a polite voice came through.
"Mr. Chu, I hope I'm not bothering you by calling at this time?"
Chu Ge laughed heartily, "Master Chen, not at all, not at all. What a coincidence, I was just about to call you."
Chen Jue chuckled over the phone, "Oh? What a coincidence indeed. To have such a connection with Mr. Chu is truly my honor."
"Oh, stop it, what honor! We're friends now, aren't we? You're saying such things, don't you find it awkward? Because I do, listening to it."
Chu Ge said this, and he truly believed it. With the several heads-ups Chen Jue had given him before, he felt he should acknowledge the favor.
"Mr. Chu, if you say I'm being distant, then you must be even more so. You came back without giving me a heads-up. If Zhanhai hadn't told me yesterday, I wouldn't have known you were already in Lidu. It was a bit late yesterday, so I didn't want to bother you. Let me know when you're free, and I'll host a welcome party for you?"
"That sounds good, I'm just a free man. Whenever Master Chen is available, I'm convenient. By the way, is Shangpin Barbecue your business?"
"Haha, yes, it's mine. Zhanhai got a call yesterday saying someone was causing trouble there, so he went over with some people. It just so happened he met you at the door. I also heard you and your friend ate over seventy hundred yuan worth of barbecue?"
"Oh, so that's the story. But that seventy hundred yuan worth of barbecue was mostly eaten by my friend. I was quite surprised, to be honest."
"Mr. Chu, you sure have extraordinary people around you. I'm really impressed. If possible, I'd love for you to introduce your friend to me someday."
"Sure thing, but I'd like to ask Master Chen about something else first."
"Please, Mr. Chu, go ahead."
"Have you ever heard of a headhunting company called Zhiling?"
"Zhiling? No, I haven't heard of it. Why, is Mr. Chu interested in this company?"
"The people who got into a fight with Bao Zhanhai's group yesterday were from this company. Their skills were quite peculiar. If it's convenient for Master Chen, I'd like to trouble you to look into this company and find out who they really are."
"No problem. As soon as I have any news, I'll contact you right away. Speaking of skills, I heard from Zhanhai that even when armed, they were no match for those Koreans. Yet you charged in alone and took care of them. I'm really impressed!"
Chu Ge smiled and didn't say much more on the topic. If he couldn't even handle this, he wouldn't know how many times he would've died.
After chatting a bit more with Chen Jue, Chu Ge ended the call. He hesitated briefly and then dialed Chen Jiatong's number.
Chen Jiatong was naturally overjoyed to receive a call from Chu Ge. Unfortunately, even though Chu Ge could feel her excitement and affection in her tone, he hurriedly said a few words, told her and Xu Jingyuan that they could leave that house and return to normal life, and then hung up the phone citing a busy excuse.
The saying that the hardest thing to bear is a beauty's affection probably described Chu Ge's current mood.
To be honest, after experiencing those events, he now greatly admired, respected, was impressed by, and liked both Chen Jiatong and Xu Jingyuan.
However, Qin Ruojing treated him so well that if he could help it, he didn't want to cause Qin Ruojing even the slightest bit of sadness, even if he did have feelings for Chen Jiatong and Xu Jingyuan. Like an ostrich, he'd rather avoid confronting it for now.
When Chu Ge returned to the VIP room, Qin Ruojing and Qin Ruoying were discussing some issues about the wedding photoshoot. Upon seeing Chu Ge return, Qin Ruoying immediately asked who he was on the phone with for so long, but Qin Ruojing made no mention of it.
Chu Ge had just promised Qin Ruojing yesterday that he wouldn't easily get into conflicts with others. Naturally, he didn't want them to know he got into a fight with a group of South Koreans before returning home yesterday. He casually made up a reason to appease Qin Ruoying.
Regarding the excuse Chu Ge fabricated, Qin Ruoying was doubtful, but before she could press further, Qin Ruojing shifted the topic back to the wedding photos and rang the call bell.
In less than a minute, the studio owner Shi's secretary knocked on the door and entered. Knowing that they were ready, she notified Shi, and Shi personally arranged everything for them.
The wedding photography session lasted nearly an entire day. Chu Ge constantly changed clothes, moved from room to room, and had to keep coordinating with the photographer to pose in a variety of ways. By the end of the day, he was utterly exhausted, the muscles in his face cramped from smiling. It's a feeling men who haven't experienced wedding photography can't possibly understand.
Despite being tired, hot, and worn out, Chu Ge held no complaints. Qin Ruojing and Qin Ruoying's outfit changes were far more cumbersome and they had to discreetly ensure no one saw through the charade.
Not to mention, even setting that aside, their sacrifices for him far outweighed his little hardship.
Aside from the heat and exhaustion, the photoshoot process was fairly engaging. It wasn't just the photographer; even Chu Ge couldn't always tell whether the person who returned in a new outfit beside him was Qin Ruojing or Qin Ruoying.
Each time they changed clothes, the sisters went to the fitting room together. Since they specifically instructed that no assistance was needed, it was always just the two of them. Even if someone noticed this, there was nothing suspicious about it.
Isn't it perfectly normal for a sister to help her sister with her clothes?
Meanwhile, the photographer teased Chu Ge during the sisters' absence, asking him how he differentiated between the two sisters and his wife-to-be.
Chu Ge felt the intense envy from the photographer and couldn't help but feel a bit proud. He chuckled and gave the photographer a response that was both amusing and full of imagination.
Chu Ge's answer was, "Why do I need to tell them apart?"
Upon hearing this, the photographer was momentarily stunned. Then he broke into a knowing smile and gave Chu Ge a thumbs-up, leading them both to chuckle more mischievously.
Realizing that Chu Ge could take a joke, the photographer spoke more freely, teasing Chu Ge again that if the sisters took turns in the wedding photos, no one would notice any flaw.
Chu Ge laughed heartily, thinking to himself that the photographer had hit the nail on the head, as this was exactly what they were doing.
The photographer laughed along with Chu Ge until even Chu Ge lost track of whether the bride-to-be returning was Qin Ruojing or Qin Ruoying, and the photoshoot resumed.
Just like Qin Ruoying said, apart from the three of them, who would imagine that this wedding photo session was shot with one man and two women?
When the session ended, it was almost six in the evening. By the end of the day, the indoor scenes of the wedding photos were done; the outdoor scenes needed to be continued the next day.
Changing back into their own clothes, the three exchanged greetings with the boss of the studio, Shi, and then took the VIP elevator downstairs.
By this time, Chu Ge was both tired and hungry, yet Qin Ruojing and Qin Ruoying showed no signs of fatigue at all. Their faces bloomed with charming blushes and the happiest smiles.
Perhaps, this is the difference between men and women.
As they stepped out of the studio, Chu Ge stretched lazily and was about to ask the Qin sisters what they wanted for dinner when he suddenly sensed a furtive gaze staring at them from nearby.
