Urban Soldier Young Master
Chapter 797 796: Giving You 10 Minutes
In less than two minutes, the bald guy had thrown at least a hundred punches, all of which were effortlessly dodged by Chu Ge.
At this point, the bald guy was panting like an ox, with large beads of sweat streaming down his face, and his movements became sluggish, yet his eyes showed even more unwillingness.
It wasn't just because all his attacks missed; it was also because Chu Ge, in his line of sight, wasn't even slightly flushed or out of breath.
As he swung yet another punch at Chu Ge, he suddenly lost his balance and staggered to the ground at Chu Ge's feet.
Chu Ge folded his arms and sneered coldly, "With skills like this, what do you have to be dissatisfied about? Do you still think calling you trash is an insult? Huh?"
The bald guy punched the ground and suddenly raised his head, his eyes red with anger, "Dodging around like a monkey, what kind of skill is that? If you have the guts, fight me head-on!"
"No matter how much strength you have, if you can't hit your opponent, it's wasted. Don't you think you've thrown too many unnecessary punches, idiot!"
Chu Ge's cold smile deepened as his gaze swept over everyone's faces, "Anyone else who thinks they're not trash, step forward."
No one said a word.
After waiting a few seconds, Chu Ge turned and strode to the edge of the pond, picked up the fishing rod he had used earlier, drew a circle about a meter in diameter on the ground, casually tossed the rod aside, and turned back towards the crowd.
"See this circle? I'll give you ten minutes. I'll stand in this circle, and if you can get me out of it, I'll take back what I said. I won't dodge or hide, each of you can hit me once, and if I flinch, I'll be whoever you want me to be!"
Upon hearing Chu Ge's words, everyone was stunned, even Chen Jue, who trusted Chu Ge immensely and understood he was giving his comrades a hard lesson, could hardly believe his ears.
Chu Ge's words... were a bit too arrogant, weren't they? His opponents numbered forty or fifty, and none of them were weaklings. More importantly, Chu Ge had thoroughly enraged them!
Chen Jue wanted to say something, but after hesitating, he remained silent. There's no taking back water that has been poured. Since Chu Ge had already spoken, he really couldn't intervene, but he truly didn't believe Chu Ge had that capability, leaving him feeling utterly conflicted.
Everyone exchanged glances, eyes lighting up as if they could already see their fists landing on that insufferable face.
As the crowd geared up, Chu Ge chuckled coldly, arms folded, "Trash, you're getting happy a bit too soon. What if you can't do it?"
The crowd's expressions froze momentarily, and then someone shouted, "If we can't do it, we'll admit defeat, and whatever you say from now on, we'll accept that we're all trash!"
Chu Ge's lips curled slightly, "Can you speak for everyone? Anyone disagree?"
"It's set! I agree!"
"Agree!"
"No objections!"
As Chu Ge's words hung in the air, the crowd shouted unanimously. To them, this was a guaranteed win. Even if they couldn't take Chu Ge on one by one, so many of them together should surely be able to get him out of that small circle, right?
What a joke! If they couldn't even handle this, they wouldn't need Chu Ge to say anything; they'd indeed be nothing but trash!
Everyone chimed in with their agreement, and after all had consented, Chu Ge glanced sideways at Chen Jue, "Time it."
Chen Jue forced a smile, looking at Chu Ge with a complex expression, then pulled out his phone and nodded slightly.
The forty-five people brought by Bao Zhanhai were all raring to go, eyes fixed on Chen Jue, waiting for his "start" cue, then rushed at Chu Ge like a tidal wave.
Although this approach was somewhat shameless, since it was Chu Ge's own words, they couldn't be blamed for it!
The first to reach Chu Ge was Bao Zhanhai. He wanted to whisper something to Chu Ge, but before he could open his mouth, Chu Ge's big hand reached out, grabbed his arm, and, using his momentum, flung him backward, sending Bao Zhanhai splashing into the water.
Caught off guard, Bao Zhanhai swallowed several gulps of water, feeling terribly frustrated. No good deed goes unpunished, it seems. Chu Ge certainly didn't hold back at all!
Even though he had been running with Chen Jue for a long time, and had just realized the reason behind Chu Ge's actions, at this moment, he shared the same concerns as Chen Jue.
Spitting out water helplessly, Bao Zhanhai sighed, dragged his wet body ashore, and felt utterly conflicted.
He hoped that Chu Ge could display enough strength to subdue his comrades, yet he also felt Chu Ge's words earlier were too excessive, secretly wishing his comrades would pull Chu Ge out of that circle, leaving him caught in a dilemma.
Chu Ge had just thrown Bao Zhanhai when two more men rushed at him from the left and right. One aimed a kick at his stomach while the other swung a fist towards his head.
Chu Ge spun on his foot, his body slightly bowing, and sidestepped to evade both attacks, taking advantage of the moment to execute a sweeping kick that struck both men's ankles.
The two lost their balance instantly, and before they could catch themselves with their hands, Chu Ge grabbed each of them by an ankle and tossed them towards the group closing in on him.
"Thud, thud, thud..."
Due to the dense cluster of people behind, they crashed into one another like dominoes, causing seven or eight to fall over.
Yet despite this, the momentum of the others remained undiminished. Even if a few had fallen, it didn't matter; they still had so many people left and couldn't afford to give Chu Ge any chance to catch his breath. They had to overwhelm him with sheer force!
Their energy was abundant, and ambitions were high, but reality was harsh.
Chu Ge stood within a circle about a meter in diameter, his movements neither large nor flashy. His hands merely tapped, jabbed, brushed, flicked, shook, and entwined, leaving his adversaries bewildered, many falling inexplicably to the ground or being thrown into the fish pond behind the circle.
In less than three minutes, over twenty people were drenched, and some unlucky ones were tossed into the fish pond twice by Chu Ge.
Ever since being tossed into the water once, Bao Zhanhai had kept away from Chu Ge, staring in disbelief. Though he knew Chu Ge was formidable, he hadn't anticipated such an abnormal level of skill.
Perhaps... describing him as a monster would be more appropriate?
Chen Jue, on the other hand, was thrilled beyond measure. The idea casually suggested by Bao Zhanhai that day was turning out to be beyond anything he could have imagined.
Even though in this era, brute force wasn't the only solution to problems, it remained a crucial means. Not only for people like them but also on a national, even global scale, it was an eternally valid truth.
Damn! It's akin to any country having a nuclear bomb, creating a huge deterrent against adversaries, even if you couldn't win outright, you could at least drag them down with you. At the very least, you could give them a really hard time, right?
Chen Jue could well imagine that if Chu Ge could endure these ten minutes, the impact would be enormously shocking, and his subordinates would become utterly obedient to Chu Ge. No matter how Chu Ge trained them, there would be no complaints!
Thinking of this, a warm feeling surged in Chen Jue's heart. If only he had a squad as strong as Chu Ge... well, that's unrealistic; even if there were a group achieving just ten percent of Chu Ge's prowess, it would be enough to make him ecstatic.
But... could Chu Ge really last ten minutes in that tiny circle?
Unusually excited to the point of swallowing saliva secretly, Chen Jue glanced at the timer on his phone: just over five minutes remaining out of ten. He desperately wished time could fly by; it was the first time he felt time dragged on so damned slowly!
"Plop!"
"Ouch!"
"Damn it!"
Such sounds echoed without pause. Chen Jue's gaze returned to Chu Ge's position, finally feeling a bit relieved. Judging by the scene, there shouldn't be any surprises.
Chu Ge and his forty to fifty men had been at it for so long, his subordinates looked like drowned rats, covered in mud all over their hands, faces, and bodies, yet despite their relentless charges, none had managed to leave even a single mark on Chu Ge.
Eventually, after being floored or thrown into the water at least twice each, Chen Jue's men began to stagger to a stop, panting heavily from all angles.
The anger and agitation were gone from their faces, replaced by complex expressions as they looked at Chu Ge. It was a mix of deep shock and indescribable helplessness.
Whether or not they believed it before, they now understood. In comparison to Chu Ge, they were truly worthless; no matter how many of them there were, it was utterly ineffective.
No one spoke for a moment, all eyes fixed on Chu Ge from all directions, leaving only the sound of heavy breaths in the air.
There was still a minute and a half left of the agreed ten minutes.
As Chen Jue anticipated the wager to soon conclude with Chu Ge's overwhelming victory, an abrupt voice broke the eerie silence.
"Everyone, come here."
It was the bald-headed guy who had initially challenged Chu Ge. Everyone froze and looked over at him.
Seeing no one moving, the bald head shouted again, "What are you all standing around for! I have an idea! Hurry up and come over!"
