Vampire God in the Apocalypse
Chapter 303 - 300. The Kaminari
CHAPTER 303: 300. THE KAMINARI
As the sun went down, darkness fell upon the ruined city. Buildings gave up and collapsed, and the monsters wrestled endlessly for dominance and evolution.
Over the deserted wasteland, a bright blue light could be seen glowing in one direction.
Creaaaaaa...!
A large bat creature wailed as its entire body was consumed by blue flames. The creature fell to the ground a second later.
Behind it was a beautiful woman with long white hair. Her sky-blue eyes scanned the area for any more threats.
She took a step forward, her white kimono swaying in the wind.
Despite her walking, her footsteps couldn’t be heard. It was like she was a ghost, but she wasn’t.
"Lady Umar, there you are!" A young man’s voice came from behind her.
The young man had a very refined physique. He was also wearing a white kimono with the symbol of yellow thunder on it.
Behind him, even more people like them stepped forward, coming towards her.
"We were all worried about–"
Before the young man could finish his statement, the woman glared at him with a cold look.
"You don’t need to worry about me, I can’t be killed." The woman smiled, revealing a pair of fangs in her mouth.
Her pearly white teeth made the young man stare for more than a second.
"I came this way because I felt my son’s aura. He’s not far away." The woman turned again, looking towards the ocean in the distance.
"Alright, you heard her. Let’s go find the boy. And in the meantime, make the ones who took him suffer!!" The young man behind her raised his hand, making the other people following her raise war cries.
It was a strange sight, really. Despite the situation that the entire world was in, these people were travelling without a care in the world.
Sometimes, it might seem like they were enjoying it... too much.
They moved, seemingly becoming blurs as they followed their leader.
...
Dexter sat down, looking at the people in front of him.
"Right now, the objective is to find as much Xylemite as possible. Since it ignores the defence of every creature that has been affected by it, we might just be able to survive." Dexter explained, looking at the others.
"I’ve been exploring for the past three days now, I need some sleep." Kila grumbled, looking away with a pout.
"Let’s just do this. It’ll be for our own benefit also." Dexter said, wrapping things up.
He glanced over at Collins, who had his arms crossed, seemingly in deep thought.
"Are you alright?" he asked, raising a brow.
"Yeah, I was just wondering if it’s something out of my ability. I can’t use my powers to detect the object." Collins frowned, looking at a particular person.
Gracia stood up, stretching her arms. The tight combat pants she wore showed off her hourglass figure.
In terms of beauty, she was on par with her elder sister, only that she was more on the cuter side.
Collins suddenly frowned as he saw her actions.
"What do you think you’re doing?" He asked, raising a brow at her.
"What do you think, we’re going on a mission, aren’t we?" She asked, putting on a sly smile.
She knew what he wanted to say.
"You’re wounded. You’re in no condition to do missions." Collins said, turning around.
"Hehehe, I’m not wounded." She giggled, walking past him.
Collins glanced at her from behind and indeed, she didn’t have any wound from receiving attacks from the creature earlier.
"Ah... I forgot you’re also a dragon." He facepalmed, walking behind them.
They were able to cover a large distance over the next hour. In that time, they were only able to find two asteroids, but none of them were too big.
They were the size of cars.
Dexter had seen those crazy scientists back in Nigeria use the asteroid as a power source.
Come to think of it, a lot of people had tried to use him as experiments.
’Crazy shit.’ He smiled.
"What the hell are you smiling about?" Kila’s lips twitched, looking at him with a disgusted expression.
"Why the hell are you so bitter?" Dexter blinked.
"Argh, you know why?" She stomped, walking ahead of them.
’I better give her time to rest after this. I was able to keep the asteroid we found in my internal world.’ Dexter glanced at his ring.
Being one of the very first heavenly items he received when the apocalypse started out, it had come a long way, saving him a lot of stress.
And he wasn’t planning on discarding the ring anytime soon.
DOOOM!
An explosion shook the ground, causing vibrations to reach the group where they were.
"Dexter! Something clashed with the camp’s walls!" Collins shouted, shooting into the sky a second later.
Dexter sprouted his wings, following him from behind.
Kila and Lily looked at each other before turning to bats. Gracia herself couldn’t wait any longer, and two black wings sprouted out from her back.
Horns grew from her forehead and her hair lit up in blue flames.
She followed them from behind, catching up to Kila and Lily a minute later.
...
At the camp, the people scrambled, heading to the large dome created for them in case something like this were to happen.
This mechanism was to decrease the number of people that died each time a monster attack were to happen.
Rameses stood in front of the broken wall. He had a frown on his face; despite the wall being more than a metre thick, made with materials from Heaven’s Tower, it still broke down easily.
’Just what monster did this?’ Rameses thought, hitting his spear on the ground twice.
All of a sudden, a chill went down his spine and he felt something cold brush against his throat.
’It... It’s already behind me.’ His eyes widened, his heart accelerated, thinking of how to escape in that split second.
"Are you the leader here?" A feminine voice, almost compelling, whispered in his ears.
Rameses swallowed, taking a few seconds to answer.
"Yes, I am." He answered.
In the next second, he felt the cold feeling leave his neck and he turned to look back quickly.
In front of him was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
