CHAPTER 306: 303. ATLANTIAN ARMY (2)

Zur smiled as he saw Jude, it had been a few months since they last saw each other.

"I’ve been waiting for when you’ll come to visit this place again." Zur walked over to him with an excited tone.

Jude only had a smile on his face, he didn’t want to ruin the atmosphere with dangerous news, so he just went with Zur, entering the castle.

"I don’t think I’ve ever been into the castle," Jude said, looking around.

The architecture was nothing to scoff at in this place. If the outside metropolis was an alien city, this place was a whole spaceship.

"You’re the one that left in a hurry that time. Did you find them?" Zur asked, walking over to a big living room.

"Yeah, I did."

Jude couldn’t be more happy that Zur was doing alright. It seemed that he made the right call to make this warrior a king.

The defence systems of Atlantis had improved by a ton and they were now holding multiple championships in Atlantis for warriors and even recruits of soldiers.

"Seems like it was the right call to make you king," Jude said, laughing softly.

Zur’s eyes were fixed on Jude, he squinted, glaring at his friend.

"So what happened?" he asked, resting his hands on the armrest.

Seeing how Zur was looking at him, Jude laughed.

"Does something need to happen for me to come visit?"

Zur shook his head.

"I can see the unease in your eyes. So start talking." Zur spoke, tapping on a screen that was the table.

"A war is coming," Jude leaned forward, his tone getting serious. "And I’ll need an army."

Jude proceeded to tell Zur about all that had been happening on the surface, how there had been an influx of high-level beasts from the sea travelling as a horde.

The both of them couldn’t help but discuss this matter.

Zur himself was taken aback, he hadn’t participated in a war before. Sure, he was skilled as a warrior, but this was a second-class creature they were talking about. He had just managed to reach fourth class a week ago.

But he understood where Jude was going with all this.

"So with the army, you’ll reduce the number of sea creatures going to the land so the humans can take care of it?" Zur asked, confirming for himself.

"Yes."

A sigh left the naga’s lips.

Soon, a naga with a black veil covering her face walked into the living room with a bottle of drink in her hand.

She poured a cup of wine for both Jude and Zur before bowing and leaving.

"One thing at a time. After we celebrate your return, we’ll assemble the army." Zur raised the cup, making a toast to Jude’s return.

A door leading to a room suddenly opened behind them and a familiar voice reached Jude’s ears.

"Oh King Zur. You didn’t come back."

Jude turned to the familiar voice and there he saw Rina, wearing nothing except a very short garment like a skirt. She used her own arm to cover her nipples, and Jude’s mouth was gaping open.

Seeing Jude, she immediately closed the doors and went back inside.

Jude turned to Zur to see him looking out the window, acting like he didn’t know what was going on.

"Zur?" Jude called his name in a nice tone.

"What is it, oh great chosen of Atlantis–"

"You’re sleeping with her! Her! She tried to kill me!" Jude said, looking at Zur with disbelief.

"So you were talking about an army. Let’s arrange that, shall we?" Zur immediately stood up.

"Don’t try to change the subject on me now. Why her? She tried to kill you too." Jude was too shocked to even think straight.

"Look, have you seen her body? I can’t let one of the most beautiful women here rot in prison with such a big butt," Zur said, looking at Jude with full confidence.

"What, I like butts. I’m not ashamed." Zur walked away, through the hallways.

Jude just let out a breath to calm himself, whatever Zur was doing with her wasn’t his business.

’That’s not why I’m here anyway.’ Jude thought, following Zur from behind.

Turns out that castle had a compound within its walls. There was an entire building inside it that was in the middle of the castle, being for soldiers only.

The naga’s saw Zur walking around with Jude and most of them were confused, seeing an unfamiliar face.

Plus, it was a human.

"Who’s that human?"

"It has been a long time since we’ve seen a human around here."

"Wait, only one human could possibly be talking to the king like this."

"Chosen saviour of Atlantis?"

"No way!"

"He’s even much more handsome in person."

"Don’t be a bitch, you’re too ugly for him."

"Why you little...!!"

The soldiers all bowed when the king passed them by. A lot of them didn’t recognize Jude when he walked by, so the place began to get noisy.

"What do you think?" Zur asked, looking at Jude.

"I think it’ll do. A hundred thousand soldiers should be enough. We’re only to support the humans. I and a few others would deal the main damage and face the second-class creature." Jude said, and Zur agreed.

Atlantis had been way too peaceful during the years. It was no surprise that a war would come to the place sooner or later.

As the king, he had seen the place prosper. Atlanteans would do anything to preserve their own peace.

"I was feeling like the place was too peaceful anyway, it’s fine to spice things up." Zur said, having an excited smile on his face.

"I don’t know what’s so exciting about it, you could die. It’s no use if you die." Jude shook his head.

Zur looked at him with a raised brow.

"The urge to mock you right now." He gripped his nose bridge.

"Have you forgotten where you are? This is Atlantis. We bask in the glory of battle and blood. We are warriors. There’s not a single civilian that doesn’t know battle." Zur said, making Jude realize his mistake.

"Sorry, I forgot about it."
