Vampire: World of Blood
Chapter 187 187: Setting The Stage
As the notification system flickered into view, the numbers began to rise at an increasingly rapid pace.
[Points Accumulated: 1,020...]
[1,500...]
[2,000...]
[2,230...]
The final tally appeared, but Merciless paid little attention. The numbers were insignificant in comparison to what he felt seething inside. His transformation wasn''t simply complete; it was calling to him, urging him on.
He could feel his own essence altering, a force from within suggesting that more power awaited him if he surrendered to this evolutionary trance, that all level 5 undergo when they reach this profound stage of immense change.
The points could wait.
The system could wait.
His essence demanded action, a rush of energy rushing through him like a slow but intense fire, kindling every nerve.
Substance, standing a few steps away, sensed the palpable change in the air. She asked, her voice uncertain but hopeful.
"What should we do now that we''re here master?"
Said Substance, to which Anastasia grabbed her shoulder, and said.
"Oi is it me, or does master seem I don''t know, loss...
"Hmm really?!...
Substance stated as she watched Merciless... his focus was on the great battle taking place a couple hundred kilometers away, amid this vast mountain range.
She then spoke, her hope in her master resolute.
"I see... so that''s what''s happening."
Substance said, Alucard and Jordans Memory feeding her knowledge on the topic.
"It''s a side effect of his evolution... The battle ahead must have triggered the evolutionary trance that all vampires experience when they reach Level 5. Let''s keep our distance, Ana. It''s dangerous to be too close to Master when he''s like this. A pity we were born at Level 5 and never went through it naturally."
She sighed, then continued.
"No matter."
She said as she continued.
"We''ll experience something just as profound when we reach Level 6. At Level 5, the body undergoes its most significant changes; since Level 5 is the limited endless progression stage where the final limit-breaking transformation will happen, all vampires enter this trance to fully grasp the extent of their new power. During this state, their abilities evolve, adapting to their mindset. Existing powers grow stronger, new ones emerge, and the transformation continues until the trance finally ends."
Announced Substance, to which Ana nodded her head in agreement.
"I mean, I''m not complaining but just how strong do you think Master is right now?"
Substance looked at Anastasia and replied as such giving her take on the matter.
"Hard to say... Master and I are both low-level 5s. We''re not like you, who is currently stationed at mid-level 5. But, for some reason, my instincts are telling me he''s far more dangerous than you are right now. It''s strange; though we''re at the same level, he feels significantly more powerful than a typical new level 5."
Anastasia did not respond at that time; instead, she looked at Merciless, watching him from behind, his gaze was fixed on the struggle at hand, and a stern expression filled his face as his concentration appeared to be on overdrive.
"Well, I hope you are ok master."
Ana said.
Merciless didn''t respond, he couldn''t. His mind was locked onto one thing: the intense urge to unleash the raw power coursing through him. His blood wasn''t just running hot; it surged like molten lava, each heartbeat pulsing like a drumbeat, driving him forward.
A relentless need gripped him, urging him to act, to dive into the chaos, and let loose every ounce of the energy blazing within. He couldn''t ignore it. He had to move.
Suddenly, a sharp crack reverberated through the stillness, as if his spine were realigning itself. Anastasia and Substance turned, eyes wide, as the sound intensified, growing louder with each passing second.
Then, without warning, it came forth earning him the gasp of the two behind him, eyes widening with surprise.
A black feather dropped from his back to the ground.
It drifted gently to the ground as if on an invisible breeze. The instant it made contact with the mountain''s rocky surface, something remarkable occurred, life began to flourish. But this wasn''t ordinary greenery; strange, otherworldly plants emerged, pulsing with a mysterious, esoteric energy.
Thick, coiling vines and luminous flora spread across the barren rock, crawling outward as if Merciless himself was seeding life into the earth. The once-dead and desolate mountain was now alive with an unusual, haunting beauty that crept outward, transforming the rugged landscape into something almost alien.
It wasn''t just the mountain that was transforming. The energy radiating from Merciless extended outward, reaching Anastasia and Substance, infusing them with a sudden, potent surge of power.
This was no passive aura, it was a gift, or perhaps a mutation, born of his transformation. Anastasia gasped as she felt her familiar Aether rings shift and warp.
"Tell hell... holy shit...
Two of her neon-blue rings, symbols of her inner strength, began to deepen in color, fading into a rich purple. The new hue pulsed with a power she had never experienced before, an evolution of her very core.
But her surprise soon shifted to wonder, as she heard Substance''s voice, click off in surprise.
"EGHHHHHHH!!!...
Anastasia looked at Substance, with a flushed face, and a confused look in her eyes.
Substance was abruptly expelling chi from her body, but it wasn''t normal at all; it was as if the very characteristic, or rather definition, of her chi, had changed as a result of this. Her body was swelling up in an erotic way, and Anastasia, who is sensitive to energy, could sense a new enormous pool of powerful unorthodox energy emanating from her breast.
Substance, meanwhile, felt a different sensation altogether. A warm, spreading pressure grew in her chest, quickening her heartbeat. Her figure subtly reshaped, her form becoming more defined, her curves enhanced in a way that left her surprised yet fascinated.
She could feel it clearly, a deep connection to Merciless''s evolution, as though his transformation was pulling her and Anastasia into its orbit, awakening something profound within them both.
Yet Merciless remained blissfully unaware of the changes unfolding around him. His focus was fixed on the overwhelming power surging through him, indifferent to how his presence was affecting the environment and those nearby. All that mattered was the intense urge for war and battle.
Blood and violence.
To hurt, and to be hurt.
To feel, and to learn.
Then it happened.
Once more they gave one last look at the thing that caused this profound change to begin with.
Behind him enormous black wings unfurled from Merciless''s back, so expansive they were two times larger than he was if stretched out to full capacity.
At first glance, they appear to be angel wings, but this is not the case; instead, they are something far from angel-like. Visible blankets of black feathers can be seen, but beneath all that feather were massive chunks of flesh, and tangible corruption itself, essentially his correspondence wings, but more intricate and advanced than previously. The outer layer now has armor-like feathers that do not impact the flaccid nature of its structure while being harder than any natural material currently known to man.
At over eight feet tall, Merciless was already an imposing figure, but the wings dwarfed him, stretching nearly twice his height. Despite their size, they moved with an uncanny grace. To those close by, Anastasia and Substance, they radiated a strange warmth, an almost protective presence that felt like an embrace.
Yet to anyone outside his immediate vicinity, the wings instilled a profound sense of dread. The air around him grew thick with a menacing energy as if the wings themselves were sentient, a force of nature tethered to his will.
However, these wings were not fully conscious. Unlike Black Tail, which possessed its own will, they were semi-sentient, instinctively responding to Merciless''s desires without acting independently. They were an extension of his power, embodying a primal instinct that remained neither entirely controlled nor wholly free.
With a mere thought, Merciless began to rise into the air. There was no need for him to flap the wings; they responded solely to his will, lifting him effortlessly from the ground. As he levitated, his nine tails trailed behind him, carving deep grooves into the rocky surface below before lifting skyward alongside him.
Anastasia and Substance gazed up in awe, witnessing their leader ascend, his form now more majestic and terrifying than anything they had ever imagined.
And then at that very moment in time, it happened.
In an instant, Merciless vanished from their sight.
One moment he hovered silently above them; the next, he was gone, moving at a speed beyond comprehension.
This wasn''t teleportation, rather he had accelerated to a velocity that defied logic, massively faster than light itself. The air where he had just been remained undisturbed, as though his departure left no trace.
In mere moments, he was racing toward the epicenter of the chaos, heading for the fierce battle that raged in the distance. His massive wings propelled him forward with an eerie silence, moving faster than he had ever thought possible.
In his head, a single thought dominated him. Hunger. His body craved the violence that awaited him, the smell of blood, the rush of conflict, the appeal of power. This one focus pushed him, as his instincts screamed for action and the chaos that would soon ensue.

Elsewhere... an immense battle between two powerful noble vampires, was taking place.
*BOOOOOOM*
World shake.
The sky split.
And space distorts.
The howl of countless beasts, in pain, in victory echoed throughout the land.
The battlefield was chaotic, with the roar of ferocious monsters filling the air, their snarls and screams ringing across the terrain.
At the heart of it all stood two figures, their presence dominating, even amid the frenzy of combat. Both were vampires of immense power, standing at level 5; beings capable of shaping reality itself, their strength far surpassing mortal comprehension.
One of them was a woman named Veyna of Clan Azamite. She stood tall and firm, her piercing blue eyes shining like beacons in the twilight. Around her swarmed a massive army of monsters summoned by her ichor, Unfathomable Legion.
Veyna was a wild but beautiful woman and an Azamite warrior; although still young she had seen many wars in her unlife.
She was currently standing on a massive, transparent jellyfish-like creature floating high in the sky, its ethereal glow throwing an eerie light across the battlefield. Its body was a massive, undulating dome, semi-transparent and shimmering in tones of deep indigo and haunting purple as if filled with stormy dusk.
Long, tendril-like appendages hang from its edges and underneath it, each as thick as an ancient tree and trailing down to brush against the ground like fingers. The creature''s surface pulsed with small veins of bioluminescent light, casting a shifting, ghostly aura around Venya who stood upon it.
The jellyfish seemed to radiate a soft hum, a barely audible resonance that warped the air, making everything within its reach feel heavier and slower as if reality was confused with the pressure surrounding it.
Veyna looked majestic atop this massive being, her armor shimmering softly in sync with the behemoth underneath her, making her appear to be a part of the floating monster itself.
Veyna''s armor looked as fierce and strange as the creatures she commanded. Each piece was crafted from beasts she had once tamed, their powers woven into the armor, making her presence feel almost primal.
Her chestplate, dark and smooth, was layered with scales from an ancient serpent, giving her the ability to vanish into shadows at will. The gauntlets on her arms, formed from the bones of a creature that fed on energy, allowed her to absorb power from every hit, feeding her strength with each blow.
Her boots, covered in tough, flexible hide from a creature known for its ghostly speed, let her move faster than even what vampire of level 4 and 5 eyes could follow, skimming across the battlefield in swift, almost silent steps.
Around her waist hung a skirt of twisting vines from a deadly hybrid plant beast she had subdued long ago. The vines, alive and writhing, formed a living barrier, ready to lash out and entangle anything that got too close, the barrier itself possessing the ability to bounce whatever comes near material or immaterial to somewhere else. S~ea??h the novёlF~ire.net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
A deep blue robe draped over her shoulders, the feathers of a massive bird-like creature glowing softly with a weird blue energy. With a single thought, she could unleash its power, blasting out a gust of wind powerful enough to bend even light, allowing her to control enemi''s long-range attacks by manipulating them with wind motion.
Opposite her stood a tan-skinned man, a vampire of Clan Solomon, with a calm, almost detached posture and an otherworldly shine in his orange eyes. His ichor did not seek to dominate or control, as Veyna''s ichor does, nor did he have an army like her; it was just him, and him alone, and yet, with himself alone, he stood on equal ground with her.
He flew in the air, motionless, but what could not be seen could not be understood, for whenever a monster attempted to attack him, it was ripped several inches away from where he flew, creating a strange current that twisted and swirled with invisible intensity.
Blood swirled around him, so fast, it evaporated instantly.
These swirling motions surrounding his body were absolutely undetectable and unnoticed; you only learn about their presence when it is too late.
The man looked to be in his late forties, he was a very quiet person, evidence of this was seen, given from when this battle started, Veyna was the one doing most of the talking, his posture unyielding, every inch of him coiled with restrained power.
His face was sharp-featured and almost statuesque.
Similar to her, he wore special battle armor, dark and understated, which clung to him in a way that made him appear more shadow than flesh, its surface threaded with faint silvery lines that pulsed, like veins of hidden lightning beneath the metal.
Around him, reality itself seemed to twist in a subtle, terrifying way, as though he were at the center of some invisible vortex. Veyna watched with narrowed eyes, sensing something off about him, something more than raw strength, more dangerous than simple speed or brutality.
''What the hell is up with this guy... nothing I throw at him seems to work.''
Veyna said to herself, as she continued to observe him from afar, a safe distance from his being, one move and she would be ripped apart, as most of her legion thus far.
It was bizarre, with one legion alone she could conquer multiple galaxies in less than a week. And so far she had about a couple thousand legions of tame monsters, beat, supernatural beings, and aliens under her belt.
''Tsk... I need more information, I''m wasting my time just trying to attack him head-on with long-range attacks, I will switch to close range then.''
WIthout saying anything else, she began to attack.
Her beasts, a snarling army of creatures loyal to her command, prowled in a wide circle around him, waiting for the signal.
By her will alone, they responded Veyna sent them lunging toward him, a coordinated assault of fangs, claws, and pure predatory instinct.
The air was thick with their movement, the ground quaking beneath the stampede of monstrous forms surging at him from every direction. But as they neared, the air around him seemed to change, distorting in strange, rippling patterns that none of them could penetrate.
The first wave hit the edge of this unseen force and instantly began to unravel, limbs bending backward, muscles tearing, bodies twisting as if caught in some warped, crushing current as previously described by her at first hand.
There was no evidence of motion till her creature interacted within a certain range of its being. Veyna''s eyes widened as her creatures disintegrated mid-charge, their forms shredded as though they''d hit an invisible wall lined with blades.
He didn''t raise a hand. He didn''t need to. His body shifted ever so slightly, and the unseen vortex around him surged, its twisted energy intensifying. It was an unnatural force that seemed to eat at everything in its path, leaving her creatures howling and scattering, struggling to resist the invisible gravity tearing them apart.
It was like he was like a living blender.
The man didn''t float in the usual sense; he moved like a pivoted statue, shifting seamlessly, his feet never touching the ground as he hovered upright, upheld by the very force ripping her beasts apart.
Each adjustment he made amplified the whirlpool effect, the bending motion responding to his every will, even the air, the atoms, everything in its path was being shredded or moved around, to the point she could see that space itself was bending around him as result of him adding more power his invisible barrier.
There was no obvious magic, no gesture to indicate his power, just that terrible, swallowing force that reacted to his slightest motion, that came in contact with his.
One of her largest beasts, a wolf-like creature with shadowed fangs, lunged in a desperate bid to close the gap, aiming for his throat. For a moment, the man''s orange eyes flashed with something close to amusement, and with a sharp twist of his wrist, the vortex narrowed, compressing the wolf into an unnatural twist.
The man gave Veyna a cocky look as if saying is that all.
Naturally, this pissed Veyna off, and as a result, she was triggered
"Tch… Don''t think you''re special just yet."
Veyna sneered her voice a low growl that cut through the chaos around them.
"I will admit you are more than you seem. Good, I fear this exam would not be fun, but I will say you are one tough bastard, very well then I''ll show you what true power, combined with nearly unlimited resources looks like."
Her gaze hardened, eyes flaring like twin suns. She spread her arms wide, an energy crackling in the air around her, thick with an oppressive aura that began to spread through the surrounding area.
With those words, she raised her hands to the sky and said.
"Open... and Free the Bligth''s Within!!
Veyna announced; her attempt to use her trigger word was clear as day; she was about to summon her imaginary space.
"Glenda Box...
As soon as she spoke, the man''s indifferent expression shifted, a spark of alarm flickering in his eyes, quickly chased by a thrill he hadn''t expected. Using the unique trait of his clan to read emotions and desires like a roadmap, he caught glimpses of her intentions.
Flashes of her ambition, a fierce hunger to prove herself. It was enough to make his blood run a little colder, yet his pulse quickened all the same.
He glanced skyward, sensing the thing she was calling down, realizing just how dangerous this was about to get. He didn''t know the full scale of what she was about to unleash, but he could feel it coming, powerful enough to make him pause.
"Well, finally."
He muttered, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"I was getting bored with tearing through you fragile creatures...
At that moment, a massive purple cloud materialized over the mountain range, dense and vast enough to blanket a small planet many times over.
The world, already dark and foreboding, became even more sinister, as if a blight had seeped into reality itself. The land cracked open, and the air grew thick with tension that felt both ancient and malignant.
Dark swamps formed, oozing with thick mud or purple and black mire, while red flames scorched patches of earth as far as the eye could see.
On the other hand, high in the sky, an enormous, shifting box loomed, appearing like a star from the ground, but looking up at it from there, it was basically a vast black and purple structure beyond comprehension, dwarfing many galactic clusters in size.
In it lay countless creatures, each distinct and unique and most of all monstrous and dangerous, moving in layers as though stacked upon one another.
Poisoned trees and unnatural plants stretched across the landscape. The air carried a peal of sick laughter, distant and disturbing as if the world around them was alive, or perhaps it was a reflection of the sanity of those who entered slowly unraveling.
The ground was dry and cracked, peeled and isolated of even the bare minimum of moisture.
This place was beyond human endurance, made for monsters.
And within it all lay the true horror:
Glenda Box, Veyna''s unique Imaginary Space.
Unlike other Azamites, whose Imaginary Spaces were internal, Veyna''s one was unique given it was prepared by her family''s secret technique, as such it can take on an external form.
By which a finite expanse appears into reality, and stretches across the size of a large planet, yet infinitely vast within. Anything caught within its reach remained trapped, its confines inescapable except by Veyna''s will or her death.
To anyone observing from the outside, it might look like another twisted landscape, but for those within, this was the heart of Veyna''s unleashed power. Yet anything that enters, will be ensnared and trapped.
At this moment, Veyna looks at the nameless Solomon vampire and says.
"Welcome to my domain, Solomon."
Veyna''s voice rang out, laced with a dark satisfaction.
"This is where I keep the creatures that even the stars fear, beasts powerful enough to consume entire galaxies."
She spread her arms wide as if to introduce the nightmare realm around them.
"Now, you face the full might of Veyna Xphelia; the monster breeder, daughter of The Oros, and ruler of planet Istrspis."
As she spoke, the massive box above cracked open, releasing a flood of monstrous creations. Some were perfect cross-breeds crafted through her own powers; others were wild creatures she had tamed, each one something she deemed a true beast. Most of her family''s wealth.
And her own had been poured into multiversal travel, hunting across countless worlds to gather creatures and expand her relentless legion.
With that said she spoke once more.
"Now then let''s see how you fair against an army of mass proportions... galaxies get lost in its swarm."
On the other hand, the man smiled, while he said to himself.
"Capella''s probably finished their leader by now, and Carlion and Ophis have their hands full with those two beasts she let loose earlier. Zack''s tracking the Djinn, and yeah, he and Capella are likely tangled up in this woman''s domain along with me, but whatever. Zack said the Djinn''s close, so once we get that, it''s all good. Plus, taking her down? My points will skyrocket."
"Heh... now you''ve got me fired up.
The Solomon vampire said.
For him to continue as he said.
"You''ve laid out quite the spread here…
"By the way before you die, the name''s German Squala, former lieutenant of the International High Human Court, back when I was human, they called me Mr. Roach. But these days most people know me as The Swirl, fifth knight of Mistress Squala, of the House of Squala, sired by Lord Hansel. Now, enough chit-chat laddy.... let''s get to the fun part where we try to murder each other."

*BOOOOOOOOOM!!!*
A deafening boom cracked through the mountain valley.
Fuck… Fuck… Fuck…
"Lay off the explosion will yah... you crazy bitch....
Came the breathless voice of a young woman darting down the jagged slope with unquantifiable speed, desperation shown in her movement.
She moved quickly, nimble even on the treacherous cliff edges, navigating a mountain that loomed over millions of miles high.
Black hair streamed behind her, and her neon-blue eyes, a distinct mark of her ties to the Michellian clan, it glowed in sharp contrast to her pale skin.
Dressed in a white bra top, ripped skin tight black jeans and gothic roller boots outfitted with sleek, hidden wheels, she sped down the mountain, propelled by both sheer skill and worry.
Behind her, a swarm of floating, pink bombs was giving chase, each moving faster than the last, their soft glow an ominous signal of their deadly power. Each explosion was enough to incinerate a continent, and their impact rippled with waves of heat and destruction, sparing no trace of what they touched.
The bombs hovered like balloons, but their merciless pursuit left no doubt, they were locked onto her.
The ground shook with the force of each explosion, pink fireballs lighting up the mountain like a twisted festival of lights. The young vampire leaped down from one rocky ledge to the next, her boots skidding across steep slopes as she sped past jagged cliffs and winding paths.
Every hairpin turn took her closer to the mountain''s edge but stopping wasn''t an option—not with the pink bombs hurtling toward her, each one drifting closer, pulsing with a deadly glow.
They came rushing towards her by the thousands.
Each is the size of a basketball court.
The oncoming bombs were swift, moving unnaturally fast towards her as if ignoring the distance being made between her and them; as one bomb zoomed past her and burst, the exposure was so close that she felt a hot surge of air blister her cheek.
Instinctively, she twisted her body, throwing herself into a sharp descent down the jagged path. The terrain tore at her wheels as she dropped onto the narrow ledge, but she leaned in, letting the harsh ground scrape beneath her boots. She pushed through, her speed relentless, but she could feel the strain as the sharp turn cost her momentum.
Then, just as the searing edge of another explosion reached her, a pulse of green light flared up around her like a second skin. The world froze in an instant, halting everything around her within inches of her body, suspending the fire and shockwave mid-motion.
The flames should have burned; the shockwave should have torn her down, but all that reached her was a muted, harmless impression as if the roaring heat was merely brushing by her without any of its deadly intent.
In this transitory green bubble, reality around her seemed to operate in such a manner that she appeared to be defying common sense, with the effects of anything hazardous locked out.
The fire of the explosion felt warm but never scalded, the shockwave caressed without force, and the deadly debris was like harmless mist in her path.
She wove through the destruction with nimble grace, her figure flickering past rocks and upturned earth untouched, her nine-second shield allowing her to glide over the devastation.
She used every moment, dodging left and diving forward, her figure blurring like a ghost in the emerald light she emitted.
She pressed forward, a green light still pulsing, and leaped over a shattered ledge. Her boots skimmed over splintered rocks and gaping holes as if she were weightless. She moved fluidly, her feet finding purchase on water droplets and dust motes that hung suspended midair around the green light, building speed with each stride, each leap, her form almost ghostlike as she slipped through everything in her way.
The mountainside shattered around her, pink explosions ripping the earth apart, but she continued, her green aura a forcefield that turned everything lethal into little more than shadow.
At full tilt, she blurred forward, her enemy left farther behind with each passing second. As her aura flickered and the green light faded, she broke free of the destruction zone, unscathed and moving like a flash of light through the now-scorched valley below.

As the green light flickered and died, she glanced back. Her pursuer had given up on using just bombs and was now closing in directly, speeding towards her with a determination that burned through her voice.
"GET BACK HERE, YOU LITTLE POINT TURKEY!"
"Are you…a lesbian or something?"
The Michellian shouted back dryly, not missing a beat.
On the other hand, the woman chasing the Michellian flew down the slope, a pin light coating her being, as she was accelerating so fiercely.
She streaked downward, her movements so fast that if light had eyes, it''d be left blinking in her wake.
The pink flame continued to speed onward without end.
A heat so dense and hot that In her wake, space itself seemed to distort as the pink aura melted through the very air, atom by atom, obliterating anything that dared to exist in her path.
The woman surged forward, speeding faster than thought, her silhouette both intimidating and strange.
In a flash, she was on top of the Michellian, smashing into her with brutal force. The vampire''s sneer grew as she drove her fist into her opponent, pinning her to the jagged ground, enjoying every pained gasp and struggle.
*BOOOOM*
"GASPPPP!!...
The Michellian vampire''s eyes rolled back, her vision going white as a deafening blow slammed into her, sending tremors through the ground. The impact tore a massive crater into the rocks below.
A force strong, it could apart a small planet, a human cold an egg.
Blood sprayed from her lips, and for a brief moment, she lost consciousness, suspended in agony. Kiara''s fist drove through the Michellian''s abdomen, cleaving her body in two and obliterating her spinal cord in one swift motion.
Michellians were renowned for their incredible regeneration, capable of restoring themselves from just a single cell. But Kiara had anticipated this; as the flames flickered around her, they solidified into a binding construct that wrapped around the shattered remains of the vampire''s spine, locking it in place and preventing any chance of recovery.
"You uncivilize Naga whore...
The nameless Michellian woman said, her body cut in half as Kiara held her body up from her black hair, the lock-like construct, burning at her flesh, and preventing her regeneration from working.
Kiara just scoffed at her as she lifted the Michellian woman closer to her.
"Tsk!! Cries of wounded animal... besides that though, it ain''t that deep, so there should be no hard feeling between you and me little point turkey... but the boss is paying me and my boys a hefty sum for your ass...
"By now, my boys should have caught your little boy toy and that other troublesome point turkey. I just hope they don''t damage the merchandise too much, ugh that so going to piss me off... but either way that extra payment for security is definitely going to get me something nice... you nobles really pay some crazy prices."
Said Kiara, as she continued to speak, keeping her tone of arrogance as per usual.
"But I must say, you''re one tough turkey to catch. Usually, I''m good at breaking down people''s abilities through observation, honestly, you are the first turkey that gave me a headache... but that got me thinking...
She said, a smile coming on her face.
"That is just how your ability works, it is just that illogical...
"For that reason, and that reason alone, I think I''ve got a grasp on how your ability works now. You see when activated, it lasts for nine seconds at a time, but takes eighteen seconds to recharge."
"That''s not all, though....
Kiara mentions as she finishes with.
"You''re usually pretty fast, to the point where even a peak level four like myself has a hard time keeping up when you''re at full speed, despite being visibly slower than me; I just can''t keep up with you no matter how fast I go; that made no sense to me, it was just pure non-sense to me... but then it hit me, the moment I noticed your inconsistencies, my cute little point turkey.
"This leads me to two conclusions: you can either A) build your own nonsensical logic that can follow or B) bend logic''s laws within a specific range for nine seconds at a time. And once that time is over, you must wait eighteen seconds to recharge before you can break logic again."
"Am I wrong or am I right...
She said while looking at the defeated Michellian, who just smiled menacingly as she commented with an evil smile.
"Maybe you''re not just a dumb Naga pawn after all. But let me set you straight, you''re about 10% right and 100% wrong. My power isn''t about defying logic… though it''s got that twist to it. Let''s just say my ichor makes me favored by something beyond what either of us can comprehend...
She said, and continued.
"Something so relentless it''ll bend reality within reason to keep me alive whenever I find myself in a complete dead end like this. Three times a day to be precise, it reshapes the world just enough to create a way out, no matter what it has to do, my power will manipulate scenarios even if the future says otherwise. How do you think you ended up crossing paths with those two Level 5s earlier hmm?....
"Every time my power kicks in like this, it pulls something worse than the last. You might make it out once, maybe twice; but the third? That''s got death written all over it....
Kiara''s eyes widened as she took in the words. She glanced around, wary, and then it happened. Without warning, both she and the nameless Michellian were caught up in the pull of Veyna Glenda''s box. Then, almost simultaneously, a portal opened, a rift born from the nameless Michellian''s power...
It opened up a spatial rift, ten to be precise... and behind those rifts... were some of the remaining level 4 and 5 vampires...
And one of those rift manifests above Kiara herself, revealing a familiar and chilling presence. It was the same force she''d felt not long ago, the one that had crushed two of her men in a heartbeat and brought her and the others to their knees in abject terror.
The exact identity remained unknown, but one thing was sure: that horrific aura belonged to an individual of unimaginable strength.
The nameless Michellian smirked and then said, grabbing Kiara''s attention.
"So, who''s the turkey now? I don''t know what my ability has brought this time… but that presence feels like the stuff of nightmares. I''m Lia Hoflas, and I''d rather go out on my terms. If I''m going down, I''m taking you with me. This last gamble of mine doesn''t go without paying a price... it is a double-edged sword given it put both of us in danger now... well either way, enjoy my gift... you Naga whore...
With those words said, something came from the portal with speed so fast none of them saw what entered the battlefield, as it crashed about 50 meters away from Lia and Kiara.
Smoke erupted from its source of landing... and what came before the two of them was still yet unknown... but at that moment... scary neon blue eyes revealed themselves for all to see.
