CHAPTER 1184  CLOAKED FIGURE

As everyone in Octavia's Hollow Glacier arrived within the hall, the temperature dropped sharply. The seated cloaked figure leaned to the side, revealing a part of his bony skeletal hand as his face rested against it. "How many years has it been?" A deep, ancient voice resounded in the room. The Evure vanguard prepared for a possible ambush and grouped together in a back-to-back formation, leaving no blind spots. Lith and his party were behind a pillar and hidden from their eyes. The cloaked figure might know of their intrusion but the Evures didn't. "You've been guarding this place since the clan's foundation, sir." The clamoring of footsteps came to a halt as the Asuras came into the picture, standing beside the cloaked figure. They bowed to pay their respects and turned to face the Evures. It was challenging to come to this location and the Evure vanguard only possessed two Legendary Rank figures while the rest were in the Supreme Rank realm. They lacked the number advantage, but watching the scene before him, Lith could tell that numbers were the least of everyone's concerns. The cloaked figure moved to his other side, seemingly conveying how bored he was with everything. "The ones intruding will die. If you leave now, I'll pretend I didn't see you."

The Asuras were visibly surprised when they heard the figure say this. This was their guardian deity who guarded one of the eight pillars of Octavia. The Evures were surprised too, wondering how could someone be so cocky and calm about it at the same time. The Evure vanguard didn't retreat. Taking out a few pills from their pockets, they gulped them, making their muscles bulge and veins throb with power. "Very well."

The cloaked figure got his answer and gestured to the Asuras to make their move. A variety of weapons appeared in the men's hands as they rushed at the Evure vanguard. Bare-handed, the Evures clashed with the Asuras. An axe hacked at a man's forearm, leaving not a single scratch. In retaliation, the vampire soldier striked the side of his palm at the Asura's neck, making him go limp. A minor realm's difference could bring such a huge disparity.

The hall soon heated up as a Asura's sword got enveloped in flames. A photographic frame by frame of the sword appeared as the Asura slashed at the Evure soldier.

Despite his forearms acting as a defensive shield, the sword cut through and made the man bleed.

The man kicked the Asura and sent him staggering a few steps back. Taking the opportunity, he kneed the Asura's face. Once on the ground, he began smashing his fists on the Asura's face, breaking all of his teeth. As the cloaked figure watched this, he sneered. "To think this is the condition of a Asura here." The cloaked figure stood up and took a step forwards. The Evures were on high alert as they watched him, but no matter how fast they could be, the cloaked figure was faster. Phantoms of black appeared beside the Evures and with one swift motion, sliced their bodies in two. With another swift motion, they were cut into smaller pieces. Nobody had the time to process or scream. It all happened instantly. The Asuras heaved a sigh of relief. Although they were strong like the Evure vanguard, they did not have unique abilities like them and could instead die. They had a lot of information on their abilities, but what use was information when they didn't have strength to back them? The uniformly cut pieces of the Evure vanguard's bodies wriggled on ground, slowly trying to reattach themselves. These guys were immortals and wouldn't die from something like getting cut so easily. The cloaked figure clearly wanted them to hear the ongoing conversation.

"The ones at the back can now come out." Lith, Fei, and Sylvia weren't surprised. They walked out, shocking the Asuras and the chopped Evure vanguard. Lith held his black destruction sword, more correctly, Neo, in his hands. After learning cultivation and under the guidance of Noman and Ruben, he had ascended quite a bit and was a great artifact. No other sword could come closer than this due to how high of an affinity it had with Lith. The sword's prowess grew with Lith and it was independent and could cultivate on its own to grow. It didn't even have to be sharpened to keep the blade sharp. As the sword reeked of pure destruction, the Asuras naturally had their gazes on it, the cloaked figure included. "Interesting sword you have there," said the cloaked figure and put his hands forward, seemingly trying to draw Lith's sword towards him.

The pitch black sword trembled and tried to break free from Lith's control. Lith injected a strand of his spiritual power and Destruction energy into the sword, stabilizing it. He slashed the sword at his side and said, "It's the first time someone has dared to snatch something from me. I'll give it to you, you are courageous." The answer made the man lower his hand and stop all movements, as if visibly taken aback. Lith looked no older than twenty one, a seemingly young man. And even from the aura he gave off, he didn't appear to be someone older. But the words he spoke… how arrogant! A low yet rough bellow rang in the room.

"To think… to think a being from the lower realm would say such a thing to me. Truly, the people of this era have forgotten the monstrosity they once faced!" Saying so, the man disappeared from his place and like a phantom, appeared right beside Lith. The fate the Evure vanguard met was about to be bestowed upon Lith. But who was Lith? And who were the two ladies beside him?

A faint blue rippled appeared in the air as the phantom slashed at Lith. Following the ripple were sparks as the phantom madly attacked Lith.

Fei mumbled a chant at the sides while Sylvia cast a few hand seals. The Legendary duo with an extreme affinity of Space and Time held the cloaked figure at bay, not letting him leave even a single scratch on their Master. When the cloaked figure felt this, he tried to attack Sylvia and Fei, but it was to no avail. The result was the same. The Asuras in the room were shocked and trembled in their place. They had complete faith in their guardian deity and had never seen it lose to even the strongest members of the Asura clan! What was this then!?!

"Impossible…!"
