Chapter 1186 Hollow Glacier — Captured
CHAPTER 1186 HOLLOW GLACIER — CAPTURED
Quite a long time ago. It was a random day in Nightingale. Lith had finished training and was seated on the stands, sipping on water. An ethereal silver-haired beauty was beside him, that being none other than Lilith, wiping the sweat off his neck. Lith stopped drinking and turned to his mother. "I don't understand something, mom. You have more abilities and you're saying I'll inherit them in future? Don't you think the four I have currently are overpowered enough already?"
Lilith chuckled softly and patted his head. "What makes you think it's enough?"
"I can literally read a person's emotions and see whether they're lying or not. I can see the threads of destiny. I can control a person and read their memories and lastly, I can return home from anywhere I wish with the last ability. What more will I need?" Lith asked, confused. Lilith nodded and answered, "Those seem enough because I put a lot of thoughts and efforts into it. Who knows, in future you'd never have a need to have more. Relying on unique abilities is anyway secondary. What comes is your own strength first. You cannot use these abilities on opponents who have a stronger willpower than you which usually correlates to their ranks."
A deep discussion went on about this and it was one of those days where Lith had important conversation with his mother. Fast forward to the present, Lith looked at the Lich in front and wondered, 'If his willpower is stronger than mine, then there's a high chance my consciousness could get erased if I try to use my Psych Puppetry on him. Should I take the risk?'
Although chances were high, it was a remnant will at the end of the day, and a weakened one at that. It surely shouldn't do much damage, right?
"Fei, Sylvia, help me here…"
Lith decided to not take an unnecessary risk. He first asked his ladies to weaken this man's mind.
The two went ahead and did it, causing extreme pain and agony to the Lich. It was on the verge of losing consciousness. Lith used this moment to sweep his consciousness into his and activated Psych Puppetry, reducing the will to a mere husk. Immediately, a lot of information flowed into Lith's mind. But soon, he felt a sharp pain in his head and the connection was cut off. The flames extinguished down and the Lich was dead. Lith frowned. Someone had forcibly cut off the connection! Was it the will's real body? Did it realise the will was being controlled and actually killed it to not divulge information? How crazy was this? But then again, Lith could summon Neo, his destruction sword, from anywhere, no matter the space or time. It was a connection rooted in his Mind Sea. No matter what, Lith closed his eyes and processed the little information he got from the will.
It was about the upper realm. The upper realm was a place filled with mighty experts, and unlike the lower realm that had different universes and worlds, the upper realm was one single plane. At the center of this plane was something called the Land of Abundance and surrounding it were the elemental energy domains which were ruled by the many powerhouses. Apart from this, the only other thing he got to know was that forces were protecting the Land of Abundance and that the will really belonged to an elder of the Asura God Clan.
The will's job was to oversee the Asura God Clan of Shen Ze and help keep it the strongest. It did not meddle in its everyday affairs and was holed up in this place, ready to protect the clan if a calamity were to arise. Even now, it was capable of wiping a major chunk of the Evure God Clan's forces but alas, it met Lith and his ladies. To be honest, Lith was sure that if it were to meet Roy, that guy alone could destroy it. The will was not aware of the strength of the people of this world and underestimated them all. This was what happened to a person uninterested in general affairs and kept thinking they were the strongest. In any case, the useful information Lith could get was limited. What he did know was that he had to ascend to the Upper Realm soon. His ladies were probably over there and in what situation they would be, he didn't know. He just hoped they were safe. The Asuras were prideful creatures and someone from the upper realm was bound to think everyone else was weak in the lower realm, forgetting the fact that the lower realm had its own set of laws and the strength was capped at Legendary Rank.
One wasn't invincible and could die at the hands of other Legendary Ranks.
In any case, the useful information Lith could get was limited. What he did know was that he had to ascend to the Upper Realm soon. His ladies were probably over there and in what situation they would be, he didn't know. He just hoped they were safe. Thinking of his ladies made him a little melancholic. He killed the Evure vanguard and Asuras to vent and release his frustration. Once they all died, he destroyed the throne the cloaked figure sat at and saw a gray portal in its place. This was a gate leading to the main world of the Asuras where the Royal Court was. It wasn't activated yet because the other gates weren't captured so far. Once all gates were captured and a few spells were cast, all eight portals would activate simultaneously.
Now that Lith looked at the portal and then at the dead Evure vanguard, he realized he made a mistake. He should've kept a few alive to relay information to others, but oh well, he would now have to go to the hassle of contacting Roy himself and telling him the Hollow Glacier gate was captured. Lith shook his head, thinking he put himself at more work and left the place with his ladies. Along the way, the flashback he had before made him miss his mother and sister a bit. He wondered where the two were. He couldn't contact Lucy whatsoever or feel her presence, so he deduced she might be stuck in some weird dimension or in the upper realm. As for his mother, he could feel the connection with her through his blood bond. He could go to where she was, but chose to wait. She couldn't live without him and was a clingy lady. If she was away without contacting him for so long, she must have her reasons. Plus, the blood bond only signified that she wanted him to know that she could feel his presence too and let him understand that he shouldn't worry about her. She was just a call away, but probably involved in some important matters so he shouldn't call her unnecessarily. Lith put away the depressing thoughts and focused on capturing the other gate. He was getting tired of this war and really wanted to end it as fast as possible.
