CHAPTER 314: LIVING THROUGH YOUR EYES, LOVE

[TAMIKO]

Tamiko knew that dinner was going to be a little bit uncomfortable for Kosta. And he knew that this was something they had to do.

However, at the same time, a part of him hoped that his family didn’t try shit with his Erasthai because if he so much as heard shit from his father or any of them, he would challenge them.

Maybe it was his way of protecting his Erasthai and perhaps it was a dark route to take, but he knew what ruts could do to anyone. He understood how submissive the omega had been and he thought that the hallways had been muted because of them.

He knew that the entire palace had to have heard them and more than anything, he knew that they all had to be uncomfortable for nine long days. That was never going to be reason enough for anyone to try and mock his omega.

Tamiko would have been fine with the mockery on his rut if he didn’t have an Erasthai to protect, an omega to show off to the world and a man he wanted to let everyone know belonged to him.

So, as he walked out of his chambers with Kosta, he hoped to the goddess that the people of Kawai didn’t test his patience because his sanity was raging thin and they weren’t even out there with the rest of the people.

Maybe this was the warning that they all needed, but Tamiko being explosive wasn’t exactly something new. This was going to be a long evening for them all.

"Hey... Krushka... you need to relax," Kosta pointed out as they walked the long wide hallways and headed for the stairs. The Lycan chief could feel the way Tamiko wasn’t okay and he could feel the rage seeping from his Erasthai.

It wasn’t hard to tell why this was so and for a moment, Kosta wanted to bask in the thought that Tamiko was truly going to protect him, but on the other hand, he knew that this was not the time to scare more Lycans.

He didn’t want their people to look at Tamiko differently because of him.

It wouldn’t be fair and perhaps that was why Kosta tapped Tamiko. He wanted the man to be happy, and happiness was clearly the one thing that he could explore despite everything that was going on.

It was a long road, truly, but it was something that they had to try and make a reality. It didn’t matter how long they had to do this because as long as Tamiko was angry there was always, always going to be a pending war and it was too soon for a provocation.

"I’m alright, baby. I’m doing fine," Tamiko said through gritted teeth, and Kosta knew that nothing was fine about the young prince. He knew that this was a time-ticking bomb, so he did the only thing he could at the moment.

He stopped Tamiko and kissed him, so his scent was all over the Lycan prince and could keep him calm. The caramel scent was no doubt an addiction for Tamiko and it was evident when Kosta kissed him and he relaxed.

He eased himself into the kiss, holding onto his Erasthai delicately while expressing his unspoken fears into the kiss that made him feel lightheaded. It was a passionate battle of lips, a caring quest for dominance while they let themselves be free with each other.

It was a beautiful fleeting moment and a perfect taste. It was what expressions seemed to be and why they pulled back, their lips swollen, Tamiko still wanted more.

"Do we... Do we still need to go to dinner at Kosta? I could conjure food, better food than three ones in the kitchen," Tamiko said, his hold on Kosta’s waist unwavering as he peppered kisses on the omega’s neck, biting and leaving marks.

Kosta didn’t try to say anything, instead, he just let out more moans and grunts as if to let the young prince know that the idea was definitely a good one. However, before they were backed up, Kosta pulled back.

He knew that they wouldn’t stop for the night if they went back in and while that was really a good idea and a way for them to get on with their fucking and mating, Kosta knew they had responsibilities too.

They had to deal with whatever was coming. They had to embrace what life was like and they had to do it out there.

Besides, Tamiko was right.

They needed to show the rest of the kingdom that they were alive instead of trying to suffocate an entire palace on the bend of caramel and lavender, it was something that they had to do this time and as soon as possible before everything went to shit.

"We have to, my soul. We have to show up and respect the people. As much as I want you to fuck me against the walls and paint everywhere with your marks on me, we need to be out there and make sure that they know we are still part of the kingdom;

"... and not because we are two horny freaks who can’t ever get enough of each other. We have to try and prove to them that we are better," Kosta said. Tamiko groaned and Kosta fixed the both of them up.

He was all for leaving and going back but then he had to agree with Kosta too.

Perhaps this was the cycle of what they had, that could determine the end of the road for them. They were what life and love looked like and, in that moment, as they smiled and walked the long hallways, they were perfect for each other.

"They are not here," Tamiko pointed out when they got to the staircase and the place was devoid of life. It was also dusty, a reminder that no one had been here for the past nine days.

Then again, it was impossible. It was unrealistic that no one was at the palace when it was even time for dinner. However, the more they walked, the more they made their way down the steps and decided to check the rooms, there was no sign of life.

The dust was all they were met with and yet deep down none of them seemed to be worried. It was weird, and a weird sense of calm was not something that Tamiko needed right now.

He wanted to see to it that they managed to make a change but then what the fuck was that even supposed to entail for them? How the fuck were they supposed to make that into a reality then? Was this some sort of a prank?

"Try the mind links," Kosta said to Tamiko and the prince did as was told. But just like the past few days, their mind links were inaccessible. Hell, even the one they shared was not accessible for both of them.

It was almost as if they were in a different realm and life had finally decided to leave them because what the fuck was this? What kind of explanation was waiting for them at the end of the road?

What the fuck was even going on here right now? Oh, but Tamiko had questions and Kosta just listened and watched out for anything that could tell them what the fuck was going on here.

"Nothing. Do you think they left?" Tamiko asked.

Kosta sighed.

This was the first time that he had seen the entire palace this empty, and it was a beautiful thing to watch, it was like there was suddenly space and they didn’t have to worry about anything.

It was tempting to stay here to live out the greatest fantasies here, just the two of them, but the chances that they would go insane from wondering what the fuck was going on, were getting higher with everything that they did.

So, Kosta figured they could try to understand whatever the fuck was going on because otherwise they were doomed.

"No, they wouldn’t. But the palace is a beautiful one. Let’s go and see if there are people outside," Kosta said and Tamiko agreed. So, hand in hand, the two ratios walk to the door of a place that was shut.

There had been expensive resistance when teeny pulled it open, but then there was no resistance. Only a bucket of ice that emptied on their heads the moment they stepped out into Kawai.

It was so sudden that Tamiko didn’t even have to stay to figure out whose idea this was. It was tradition for him, and Daniel Belova.

The both of them had sworn that they would prank the other after their first rut and Tamiko had done it for Danny and his mate back home. Now, this was definitely what payback looked like, right?

"Let me not catch you, brother," Tamiko said as he stood there wiping the ice off of him and Kosta. They looked so adorable, taking care of each other and Tamiko wondered if this was what their kind of heaven looked like.

Maybe he was being delusional again, but then a boy could hope for happier days, right? Especially with the noise that was slowly hitting their arms and the cheers that surrounded them.

If Tamiko didn’t know any better, he could have assumed that there was a festival in Kawai right now.

But what had warranted the festival?

He didn’t remember any announcements about the festival in Kawai, so this was just as shocking to him as it was to Kosta who was scanning around for anything suspicious. Perhaps that was why Tamiko didn’t question anything.

Instead, he just looked at his Erasthai and watched as he took in the sight. He didn’t want to see what Kosta was seeing, but he loved the happiness in Kosta’s eyes and that was enough for him. His Erasthai was happy.

"Fucking hell, you look like a puppy in love, brother," Danny shouted.

"That’s because I am in love with the prettiest omega in the realm!" Tamiko shouted with pride.

Igor Konstantin blushed.
