Yu Yingyi stared at the setting soon on top of a hill with Song Liya beside her. Today was more fun than she expected, everything was fun when she was with her.

    "You know, I never thought we would be on top of a hill doing this," said Yu Yingyi.

    "Definitely, I was just thinking how did running away from crowds while eating steamed buns led to this." said Song Liya with a chuckle in the end.

    "But this is relaxing." Yu Yingyi muttered. "If only this could last forever without anything bothering us."

    "Keep dreaming, you know things don''t work that way, we still have a lot of problems to solve before we can get some peace," said Song Liya.

    "That''s true. Right now not might be the perfect timing, but can I ask you a question?" Yu Yingyi asked reluctantly.

    "What is it? You know I''ll answer anything if it comes from you." Song Liya replied.

    "Okay, then let me ask you this, you better answer truthfully. Why do you love me?" Yu Yingyi asked seriously, her eyes staring into Song Liya''s eyes.

    Song Liya''s eyes went wide at the question, she was surprised Yu Yingyi asked the question she was most reluctant to answer, after all, she wanted to save it for their anniversary, but it seems that wasn''t happening anytime soon.

    "I love you because I see the ideal version of me in you," said Song Liya.

    "You see the ideal version of yourself in me?"

    "Yes, despite being a commoner, you''re always hardworking and trying your best to change the way you live, even when some people tried to bring you down. You also never back down, that''s something I wished I was able to do when I was younger, I wanted to be able to deny my mother and the things she would force me to do, but I could never speak up."

    "But you were different, you knew who I was, and yet you didn''t back down even once, you even talked back to me which shocked me since no one has ever done that before."

    "instantly, I became entranced by you, I wanted you to be closer to me because I wanted to learn from you. To be able to deny my mother and deny her, that was part of the reason I decided to make the contract with you."

    "Then what about the other parts of why you initiated the contract?''

Song Liya said staring directly at Yu Yingyi with a smile.

    Yu Yingyi turned away in embarrassment, she didn''t think the words that came out of Song Liya''s mouth would be so sincere. Her heartbeat was increasing every second due to the confession, inevitably, her face also became a tomato.

    "Sorry, I don''t know what to say even though I asked the question," said Yu Yingyi.

    "It''s fine, you don''t need to say anything, but you do have to do something though," said Song Liya.

    Song Liya leaned over to grab Yu Yingyi''s chin to make her face her, and unpainful and soothing electricity shot up their bodies as they shared the most passionate kiss they''ve ever had.

    The kiss was in perfect timing, the sky became the color of cotton candy, only half of the sun could be seen on the distant horizon, their figures were reflected as shadows on the ground.

    It was truly a romantic moment for the two.

    When Yu Yingyi and Song Liya parted, they found themselves wanting for more, but it wasn''t lusting, it was love. They kissed each other as if it was their last day on earth, the kiss was soft, passionate, it was slow too to give them room to breathe.

    "Song Liya, I truly love you, do you know that?"

    "Of course I do, the feeling is mutual. I love you too, more than you love me."

    "Alright, I think you''re getting too confident because of the confession, let''s be realistic, okay?"

    Together, they let out a chuckle, a soft breeze blew at them as it replaced the former atmosphere with a warm, romantic atmosphere between the two. It felt like time stopped for a second during that moment.

    ''Ah, somehow, this feels like it was something out of a show.'' Yu Yingyi thought.

    Suddenly, Yu Yingyi felt something heavy land on her head. Glancing down, Song Liya''s sleeping face appeared in her vision, she looked incredibly cute at the moment that she wanted to caress.

    "How cute." Yu Yingyi muttered as she tucked a few strands of hair behind Song Liya''s ear.

    Thankfully, the weather wasn''t cold, or else the two would''ve been popsicles already, instead, it felt perfect, the wind was warm and they didn''t need extra clothing to warm them up. But even if it was cold, they could be in each other''s embrace to warm each other up.

    Yu Yingyi looked up to see the setting sun, she wondered how her calm life turned into something full of events. But, she didn''t feel any lingering emotions or regrets. It was safe to say that she enjoyed this life rather than her past life.

    That was when something entered her head, will she have to tell Song Liya about her past life? If there wasn''t a time where she will have to, then she wasn''t going to tell her, they already had enough problems building up.

    Yu Yingyi shook her head making the useless thoughts disappear from her mind. Letting out a relieved sigh, she watched the sun fully set as the air became a bit more chilly, though she was filled with warmth because of the flaming blush that was still on her cheeks.
