CHAPTER 130: SLAVE TO HIM

"Argh," With a low groan a girl’s eyes slowly opened, she tried to stretch her hands to get up as that’s what she would normally do, but then, "Huh?" her hands met resistance, she tried to push against it but, "What is happening?" she frowned realizing something was wrong, "Where am I?" She groaned, she then opened her eyes and all she was met with, was darkness, she touched what seemed to be a wall before her and realized something... it was a wooden slate, and that instant, she suddenly remembered, she had been pushed into the back of a carriage after she had fought an unending number of bandits and in the end she got one up-ed from a sneak attack that resulted in her being taken.

The last thing she recalled was a blinding pain at the back of her head, followed by complete darkness. She’d been careless, too confident in her abilities. The bandits had been nothing more than fodder, easily dispatched with her frost magic, yet somehow she ended up here.

"Wait... I remember seeing someone," she muttered, recalling the face that appeared before her after a long while, a handsome looking young man dressed like a goddamn bandit. She was already filled with anxiety so the moment she had a chance, and realizing the place the man, whoever he was, had brought her was probably a town with people considering the buildings around, she decided to try her luck and attract attention, but it seems it didn’t work.

She had screamed for help earlier but no one came. Either they couldn’t hear her, or worse—they simply didn’t care. The thought made her blood boil. She, a daughter of a duke, treated like common cargo.

"That jerk... how could he attack me, even the other bandits didn’t dare touch me roughly," she frowned, then touched it once again, since this time she was more calm and the spell those idiot bandits had used to seal her mana seemed to have worn off, she just touched the wooden wall before her and her eyes glowed, she didn’t need to say an incantation, the next moment, the wood began to freeze, she kept on and in a matter of seconds...

BAM!

She punched it and it shattered into countless frozen splinters, she then bit her lips, feeling the stinging pain, but then ignored it, with that she moved forward, grabbing both edges of the now destroyed wooden wall to pull herself out. The crisp night air filled her lungs, a welcome change from the stale air of her wooden prison. Stars glittered overhead in a cloudless sky, casting just enough light for her to make out the shapes of buildings nearby. A small town, just as she suspected, though not one she recognized.

"Sighs," she got out, now standing outside, she turned back to view the carriage completely, "Tsk," she clicked her tongue in annoyance, she was going to find out who initiated this whole thing and she swore in her heart to torment them till death for putting her through this ordeal. Her fingers crackled with frost, the air around her growing colder with each passing second. Whoever had orchestrated her kidnapping would pay dearly—she would make sure of that.

The sound of approaching footsteps reached her hearing.

"Huh? How the hell did you get out?" she heard, then turned to find a young man, the same young man she had seen before she blacked out, the idiot that knocked her out, and in a split second, before he could even think to move his finger, there she was before him, her right hand frosty reaching forward to grab and freeze the fuck out of him, but then, "Stop," she heard and she froze, literally froze in place unable to move a muscle.

It was as if invisible chains had wrapped around her entire body, restricting even the slightest movement. Her magic, which had been flowing freely just moments ago, seemed to hit a wall within her, refusing to obey her commands. A cold dread, different from her magic, crept up her spine.

"What?" she muttered, she wasn’t the one that stopped herself, she couldn’t understand what happened but the moment that command to stop left his mouth, she was unable to move anymore, "What is this?!" she roared in anger, "Who in the name of Goddess are you?!" she gritted her teeth and asked. Her voice was the only thing still under her control, and she used it to convey every ounce of her fury.

"Shut up," was the next command and her mouth didn’t obey her anymore. Her jaw locked tight, the words she wanted to scream dying in her throat.

The young man approached her slowly, cautiously. He circled her once, twice, taking in her form with growing fascination.

"Huh?" the young man blurted in intrigue, "So that’s how it works? Damn, are you an idiot or what? So you wanted to make yourself a slave to some dude because of some childhood romance shit?" he asked in disbelief, there was nothing else to say, this was pure slavery, like she was literally turning herself to a slave just because she wanted to be together with whoever the young man was, but who knew if he felt this intensely about her too, perhaps he is just deceiving her and actually has others he secretly ’attends’ to, and her giving him this much more power over her is basically the same as surrendering herself to a long life of servitude and suffering even after those blinding feelings seem to fade away.

Well, not that it concerned him, in fact, since she wanted to be a slave so bad, he would help her do so. He grinned, relishing the power he now held over someone who had clearly never been powerless before.

"From now onwards, you are my slave," he could see her expression darken, it seemed she realized what had actually happened, well not that it mattered, what happened happened, there was no two ways about it, and there was no going back. Her eyes widened in horror, the full implications of her situation crashing down upon her. She tried to speak, to scream, to use her magic—anything—but her body refused to respond. She was truly and utterly trapped.

The reason he did this was that those guards had probably found her guards at this point and were now probably on the hunt for him, the so called man with the gifts, so he was bound to be caught at some point, he could have just left her behind and ran, but something told him she was his only chance of getting out of here alive, and he trusted that gut feeling.

"You must have realized, your soul is bound to mine, I am not much of a mage to know what it fully entails, but what I do know is, if I die, you die, so you better hope I don’t die, also, you will not talk to others unless I permit, if we encounter your guards or even the guards from this town, and I am arrested you are to tell them these exact words of mine, ’I was being kidnapped and this young man saved me.’ Simple as that, any other story of yours should center about this context and you should always paint me in a good light, remember, if I die, you are fucked," he grinned, her face darkened so much he could see the literal horror, but it only made him grin, who said he was a saint, an opportunity presented itself before him, an opportunity that could change everything if utilized properly, so who in god’s name was he not to take hold of this opportunity? Just who?
