Every Double-faced Star Person is born hermaphroditic and remains so until adulthood. However, not every Double-faced Star Person can switch genders because, in this unique group, there are typically only two leaders: an older male Double-faced Star Person and a female Double-faced Star Person, who have the biological responsibilities of reproduction, nurturing, and management, considered the ruling class in modern societal terms.

As for the ordinary Double-faced Star People born to the two leaders, being hermaphroditic, they lack the ability to reproduce.

Furthermore, the longer they remain hermaphroditic, the shorter their lifespan becomes, so generally, ordinary Double-faced Star People have significantly shorter lifespans than their leaders.
