Wandering Meteor
Chapter 368 - 367: Capturing a Pulsar
CHAPTER 368: CHAPTER 367: CAPTURING A PULSAR
Constant Star Lu Chen shot straight out, his massive Constant Star Body resembling a high-speed, instantaneously teleporting sphere of light, leaving behind a long and brilliant trail.
As the distance between Constant Star Lu Chen and Constant Star Super Thought had already been closing during the sustained battle, encapsulated within a space of dozens of astronomical units by the material of the outer meteorites, Constant Star Lu Chen now used Gravity Warping Space to charge forward at full speed. In just moments, he had traversed several astronomical units and was rapidly closing in on Constant Star Super Thought.
Constant Star Super Thought immediately tried to command his Constant Star Body to evade, but alas, the body was too large and failed to completely avoid the impact. Constant Star Lu Chen, like a glowing artillery shell, hit the corona layer of Constant Star Super Thought hard. Since Constant Star Lu Chen had maintained a high-speed rotation during his swift attack, the tremendous inertia of his spin tore off a large swath of heated hydrogen from the surface of Constant Star Super Thought when the two Constant Star Bodies collided, looking from a distance like a ferocious ball of light beast.
After a moment of friction between the corona layers of the two stars, they swiftly passed by each other and rapidly increased their distance. But due to the close proximity just before, they had already entered each other’s Roche limit. Thus, under the strong gravitational pull, neither of the two stars managed to escape far before being pulled back to each other. Even in this process, the high-temperature hydrogen pulled from the collision with the corona layers remained unsevered, appearing as if a faint yellow line connected the two stars, firmly binding them together, eventually causing the two stars to rotate at high speed around each other.
At this moment, the two Constant Star Bodies were moving in orbit around each other at the center of the vast star system.
Under gravitational influence, the distance between the two stars continued to shrink during their mutual orbit, and eventually, they entered the Roche limit.
Inside the Roche limit, the massive Gravity difference between the two stars began tearing at each other, starting the process of mutual destruction and absorption.
As the battle between the two high-mass Constant Stars entered the ultimate phase of close-quarters combat, the mass of each side became crucially important. Whoever had the greater mass would emerge victorious from this bare-knuckled brawl.
Originally, Constant Star Lu Chen had a mass of 800,000 Constant Star Masses, while Constant Star Super Thought had 820,000 Constant Star Masses, with the latter having an obvious advantage of 20,000 masses. But that was all in the past. During the fierce battle, both sides had consumed some of their mass, although the degree of consumption was negligible and nearly even, hence not affecting the situation of the battle. What really changed the tide of battle was Constant Star Lu Chen previously using Black Hole Expansion to severely injure Constant Star Super Thought, resulting in a loss of about one-tenth of his mass. Following that, the collision between the corona layers of Constant Star Lu Chen and Constant Star Super Thought might have been just a brief encounter, but it was in that short moment that Constant Star Lu Chen ruthlessly tore off more than 3,000 Constant Star Masses from Constant Star Super Thought!
That is to say, if we ignore the normal consumption during the battle.
Then Constant Star Super Thought’s mass would have lost about 83,000 Constant Star Masses in the two confrontations, leaving only 737,000 Constant Star Masses; whereas Constant Star Lu Chen, having plundered 3,000 from Constant Star Super Thought, rose to 803,000 Constant Star Masses. This gave him nearly 70,000 more Constant Star Masses than Constant Star Super Thought, giving him an absolute advantage in mass, and was the main reason why Constant Star Lu Chen chose to engage in close-quarters combat at this time.
In other words, due to the massive reversal in mass, the outcome of this brawl was already becoming clear.
However, the Electromagnetic Civilization obviously would not readily concede defeat. Both the numerous Electromagnetic Super Men and the pulsar super magnets knew that if their leader Constant Star Super Thought were to fall, they would undoubtedly be defeated without any chance of turning the situation around. Therefore, to turn the tide, the pulsar super magnet suddenly changed direction and flew towards the battlefield of the two stars. Additionally, many more Electromagnetic Super Men nearby also flew towards the battlefield of the two stars with the same thought in mind: to aid the endangered Constant Star Super Thought and turn the tide of battle!
This point, conceived by the Electromagnetic Civilization, could naturally be anticipated by the experienced Wandering Alliance.
But the Wandering Alliance’s decision was different from the Electromagnetic Civilization’s; they didn’t need to aid Constant Star Lu Chen—intercepting the meddling Pulsar Super Magnet and a large number of Electromagnetic Super Men would suffice.
"Damn it, get the hell out of my way!"
The Pulsar Super Magnet, halfway through his flight, was intercepted by the Dark Gold Battle Stars scattered around, provoking his furious roar.
"Your defeat is inevitable; struggling is futile. Surrender quietly!"
The Dark Gold Battle Star that came to intercept, of course, wouldn’t step aside; it immediately launched a surrounding attack on the Pulsar Super Magnet. With additional Dark Gold Battle Stars catching up from behind, they quickly agreed on a pincer attack strategy after a brief discussion.
"Seeking death!"
The Pulsar Super Magnet, anxious to save his leader, didn’t care for anything else, charging through like a wild ball, crashing headlong into obstacles.
However, as it turned out, no matter how powerful a being is, losing one’s sense in the throes of war often leads to a swift defeat. The Pulsar Super Magnet, single-mindedly focused on rescuing Constant Star Super Si, neglected the chaos of the battlefield. He was soon distracted by an assault from over twenty Dark Gold Battle Stars transformed into Planet Giant Swords. In a moment of inattention, he was captured by Earth Civilization’s Celestial Body Capture Device that lay in ambush on the flank.
"Let me go, you damned insects..."
Even during the capture by the Celestial Body Capture Device, the Pulsar Super Magnet roared in desperate anger, unwilling to yield.
On the other side, a large number of Electromagnetic Super Men flew towards the battlefield between the two stars. However, the majority of them were annihilated by the Wandering Alliance’s Planet Battle Stars, with only a few dozen managing to break into the vast, elliptical giant star system. But these Electromagnetic Super Men hadn’t even made it out of the Heliosphere before they were engulfed by a rolling Crown Hole Radiation beam seven million kilometers thick, meeting instantaneous death!
Viewed from the cosmic level, it was as if an energy river struck down a few ants, utterly devoid of suspense.
In the end, the Electromagnetic Civilization, following wave upon wave of futile resistance, saw the remaining few Electromagnetic Super Men concede the inevitable. Like birds and beasts, they scattered and fled into the vast corners of the Universe.
Simultaneously, the battle between the two stars also came to an end - with the larger Constant Star Mass, Constant Star Lu Chen successfully tore apart and absorbed Constant Star Super Si. Despite Super Si’s desperate struggles and calls for his subordinates to come to his aid, all efforts were in vain. In the end, he was ruthlessly torn apart and absorbed by Constant Star Lu Chen!
It was only upon seeing Constant Star Super Si beyond all hope of rescue that those surviving Electromagnetic Super Men finally gave up the war and chose to flee.
