Chapter 379 - 378 Black Hole Horizon
CHAPTER 379: CHAPTER 378 BLACK HOLE HORIZON
Boom!
In the dazzling array of colors, a brilliant Unified Energy Beam sped toward the Quasar Central Black Hole at the speed of light!
This Unified Energy Beam was fired from the Science and Martial Battle Star the moment their troops reached within one light-year—the attack range of their weapon—in a trial attack.
The reason for this was that the Wandering Alliance had never engaged with a quasar before and was not clear about specific details of quasars; hence, they decided to use an energy attack to probe for more intelligence and characteristics of the quasar, a common strategic measure.
On the other side, the quasar, upon detecting the Unified Energy Beam fired from the Science and Martial Battle Star, completely ignored it, allowing the thousands of kilometers long Unified Energy Beam to strike it. From a cosmic standpoint, it resembled a finger-sized beam of light striking a gigantic black sphere. The black boundary of the sphere is the Black Hole horizon, also known as the Schwarzschild radius, within which even light cannot escape. In other words, within this boundary, the Gravity Strength is at least 300,000. At the moment the invincible Unified Energy Beam approached the Black Hole horizon, under immense gravitational pressure, it instantly disintegrated and was sucked into the Black Hole horizon by the Black Hole Gravity...
As for everything that followed, since nothing inside the Black Hole was visible, the Wandering Alliance didn’t know what exactly happened.
However, through this exploratory attack, the Wandering Alliance did confirm some intelligence; although the Unified Force is the Mother Force of the Four Basic Forces, the Unified Energy Beam composed of the Unified Force couldn’t damage the Black Hole but was instead destroyed by its gravity, a very rare occurrence in the hierarchy of energy levels.
Unless there’s only one possibility, that is, the energy of the lower level force much exceeds the energy of the higher level force, which might lead to a backlash.
Since it was temporarily impossible to estimate the gravity limit of the Black Hole, thus, the Wandering Alliance assumed that energy weapons like the Unified Energy Beam essentially had no effect on Black Holes.
Whizz, whizz, whizz!
While the scientist on the Science and Martial Battle Star was analyzing the intelligence, the quasar launched a frenzied counterattack, sending out waves of high-intensity Gravity Waves like invisible force blasts, rushing toward the Eternal Life Battle Star and the Science and Martial Battle Star above the quasar. Additionally, some Gravity Waves were directed toward the boundary of the Accretion Disk, as the quasar noticed some subtle actions by the Wandering Alliance on the boundary of the Accretion Disk.
Although the central Black Hole is fifty light-years from the edge of Accretion Disk, which is beyond the coverage of most energy weapons, Gravity is an exception. Gravity is the force with the longest action distance among the Four Basic Forces, and naturally, gravity weapons also have the longest range of all weapons, even farther than the Constant Star Lu Chen’s previously used Crown Hole Beam. After all, in terms of force properties, the Crown Hole Beam belongs to electromagnetic force, and electromagnetic force still falls below Gravity in terms of action range.
Therefore, when cosmic civilizations clash, if the distance is too far, they generally start by using gravity weapons for the attack.
However, as with everything, Gravity has its pros and cons; although its range is exceedingly long, its attack methods are single, and it is the second weakest of the Four Basic Forces, making it very easy to guard against, and generally, it is difficult to achieve significant results, so not all civilizations prefer to use gravity-type weapons.
Of course, apart from the Gravity Wave attacks, since the Wandering Alliance’s Planet Battle Stars approached the quasar, the quasar has continuously been using Black Hole Gravity to tug at these ant-like Planet Battle Stars, planning to pull these Battle Stars directly into its Black Hole horizon, then thoroughly absorb them.
As for the difference between Gravity Tugging and Gravity Waves, Gravity Tugging is just a regular application of Gravity, whereas Gravity Waves are an explosive weapon created by highly compressing gravitons; when Gravity Waves hit an enemy or explode spontaneously, highly compressed gravitons burst out instantly, distorting the space around it, and causing damage to the enemy via the space distortion effect.
Facing this mixed offensive, Eternal Life and Science and Martial Battle Stars continued to maintain the stability of the Unified Force Field, thereby isolating the effect of Gravity Tugging. However, conventional Unified Force Fields could not defend against high-density Gravity Waves, so they had to launch similar Gravity Waves for interception. Yet, given the giant mass of the quasar, the Gravity Waves it emitted were high in energy and numerous, and under what was akin to a dance of swords and sabers, it was impossible for Eternal Life and Science and Martial Battle Stars to intercept them all completely, thus they had to constantly move and intercept at the same time!
From a cosmic perspective, Eternal Life and Science and Martial Battle Stars seemed like a dozen fish swimming around in a pot of rapidly spinning colorful soup, always weaving here and there.
Of course, Eternal Life and Science and Martial Battle Stars didn’t just play defense.
After trying the Unified Energy Beam weapons to no avail, they launched a Cosmic Bomb while dodging!
This was also a weapon developed based on Unified Force Technology, with a power that could rival the Big Bang. However, essentially, a Cosmic Bomb was just another application of Unified Force Technology, and it was presumed to be as ineffective against Black Holes as the Unified Energy Beam, but the Wandering Alliance still chose to try. Mainly because the Cosmic Bomb could be timed to explode, so they planned to detonate it outside the Black Hole horizon to see the effects.
Boom!
Finally, under the careful control of the Eternal Life Battle Star, the Cosmic Bomb smoothly exploded outside the Black Hole horizon.
The explosion triggered shock waves and chaotic energy flows that completely submerged the enormous Black Hole, covering the only dark spot within the quasar.
From a distance, the quasar without the central dark spot resembled a rainbow lollipop held by a little girl in a martial arts film, creating a beautiful and dreamy visual effect!
Regrettably, the central colors could not be preserved permanently; as the explosion’s power gradually weakened, the immense amount of dust engulfing the Black Hole was all absorbed by the Black Hole. This also declared another failure of the Wandering Alliance’s trial strategy; even a weapon of the level of a Cosmic Bomb could not harm the essence of the Black Hole, making this war even more challenging.
Subsequently, responsible for annihilating the Quasar Central Black Hole, Eternal Life and Science and Martial Battle Stars consecutively used high-energy weapons like Space Shock Waves and Quark Decoherence.
But unfortunately, whether it was Space Shock Waves or Quark Decoherence, both were also ineffective against Black Holes.
Since Black Holes themselves are accompanied by extreme Space Distortions, the Space Shock Waves simply couldn’t pass through these winding and bending spaces;
As for Quark Decoherence, based on the name, it’s known to affect material particles above the quark level, but Black Holes are formed from the collapse of Quark Stars—that is to say, the matter inside Black Holes is at least below the quark scale, so of course Quark Decoherence has no effect on Black Holes.
